    Salty old dog

I only order ahead through Joe because I'm all about that skip-the-line life ;) My forever fave: the iced salty old dog with oat milk. It's the perfect trifecta - salty, sweet and just the right kick of bitter. Always consistent, always yum. I haven't really sat down in the café but on the few occasions I've interacted with the baristas, the vibe has been... kinda cold? No greeting, no "thank you," just a silent hand-off. Not rude exactly, just a little robotic. Whatever. The coffee's great so I keep coming back. Priorities!

The people who work here are friendly and make a great cup of Joe. A portion of the revenues her go to animal rescue and saving animals in our neighborhoods. My dog and loves coming here to socialize or just hang out with other dogs in the mini-dog park. There's plenty of fresh water, shade or sunshine on the deck. People socialize, read, or work on projects while sipping refreshing drinks or eating pastries.

, . Arsen, there are very few people like you, a good leader, a good Armenian, who has the most delicious Armenian lavash and other delicious things, bread, pastries, khash, Armenian pickles, whatever you list, the day will come when it will happen next to your store and, my dear, look at whose queue of thousands of people I am proud to cut. We are eagerly waiting for the love and respect of the people, keep up the second part.

This is exactly the kind of hangout space I've been looking for! Delicious coffees and a safe space for your pups to socialize. I tried the matcha latte and their version of an iced vanilla latte called "Puppy Love." Both drinks were delicious! The empanadas were good too, but I think you definitely need some sauce on the side. Hands down the best feature for me was the little doggie patio in the back. It's shaded, has turf, and lawn chairs with cup holders so you can sit and enjoy your drinks while your dog runs around and makes friends.

I seriously love love loveeee Muddy Paw Cafe, I always come here whenever I need to work on stuff for school! There's always a great ambiance; from the water fountain to the cute friendly dogs! I come here all the time and my go to drink is definitely the Salty Old Dog, Ube Cookie (hands down best Ube Cookie I've had) and the Philly Empanada! They have Nonna's Empanadas, and honestly whichever one you choose is great... plus off to the side they have Cholula and chimichurri sauce, and water that you can grab yourself. Also all of the baristas there are super sweet, thanks for always making the best coffees!

Absolutely love this place. You don't see a coffee shop with a dog park inside very often and let me tell you I love this concept. They have a whole dog park for your pup with seating inside of it so you can keep watching them and catch up some work. If you would like to come without a pup or just don't have one they do have outside and inside seating. The coffee options are pretty good. Not gonna lie I love that they have their client favorites to help you out with choosing. They also offer bites vegan options also available. One cool factor about the entire coffee shop some of the proceeds especially from their merch go to support dog shelters. Which is definitely a plus.

I was on the search trying to find dog-friendly/ dog cafes around the LA Area that allow dogs in and/ or sell food to dogs like Starbucks does with their Puppacino and other boutique dog mall shops. Muddy Paw came up so I had the impression from the name of the place that this was a coffee shop meant for dogs. I came to the store and asked for recommendations what my dog can try because I couldn't tell what was dog-friendly on the drink menu as it looked like a standard drink menu from any other coffee shop so not dog-friendly drinks and the worker informed me that the cafe is for humans but the concept of the store is that they support dogs. Whoops! I got that one wrong ha! Anyways, I asked if there is anything my dog can eat or drink and the worker pointed out some packaged goods and their treat display. I got my dog a shark tooth cookie as a little treat. The cookies were all very cute but taste wise, nothing spectacular. Yes- I actually tried a little because the cookie was so tough to bite into and I had to use my own teeth to take a chunk and give it to my dog. My dog couldn't bite it so I had to use my teeth and help him. I whacked a mortar pestle stick in attempt to break the cookie and that did not work either! My matcha I ordered was alright though it was too watery. I was the only one with a dog so I can't speak to the dog environment at this time. I think what stands out about this shop is the ambiance. It is cute, clean, and organized. There is a back patio area filled with an array of seating options. I stayed a long time chatting with a group of people who wanted to meet me and my dog. It's a nice place to chill and hang out with some friends and your dog. I would come again if I'm in the area and need a place to hangout with my dog or a to kill some time.

This place is so cute. I love the theme and how it is catered to having a dog. I wish I had my dog with me when I came. The menu was interesting as well. I appreciate them making drinks that other shops may not have. I would like to come back and try it again. What I had was okay and the service was not that great. I think I would like to come at a different time. Maybe I would have had a better experience.

Had mixed feelings about my visit here sadly! I ordered the salty old dog and enjoyed it. It was a bit sweet, but had a nice touch of dark chocolate flavor. However, I was a bit disappointed by the pastries. The pizza roll was a bit doughy on the inside and the horchata rice krispy was tough to chew. I did love the outdoor patio (and so did my dog) though!

My bestie and I were looking for a dog-friendly cafe near us and "yelped" to find Muddy Paw Coffee in Eagle Rock - just a quick 15 minute drive from us. It was the pawfect oasis for humans and doggos - a great way to get some sunshine and work done with free WiFi, and for the dogs to socialize with other dogs. For humans, there are unique coffee drinks to enjoy along with some delicious baked goodies and empanadas. I got the D'mon Special Wag The Tail Cold Brew Espresso, Agave and Cinnamon for myself and the Honey Labrador Classic Espresso for my bestie - it was so easy to finish the whole coffee cup since it was so good! Since we got a little hungry, we got their Cheesy Scramble, Mushroom, Carne Asada Empanadas, to share. I definitely recommend the Mushroom one - the cheese pull on that empanada was the best I've seen. They didn't forget about treats for the dogs either - there are dog cookies too, and very adorable ones in fact! I got a squirrel-shaped cookie for my bestie's pup and she had so much fun devouring it. The cafe splits the seating area into two outdoor sections in the back. One is on the floor level and the turf area is on a second level with a small gate. The turf is well maintained. There is a hose to fill water bowls for the doggos to drink. There is also a pooper scooper stick for humans to pick up after their dogs if their dog made a doodoo. Everyone is very responsible for picking up after their dog and so friendly to interact with, too! My party of 4 (2 humans and 2 dogs) stayed for a little over 3+ hours. We are definitely going to be back next time we're looking for a cafe day with the doggos. We all had so much fun!

Cute little spot with empanadas, vegan pastries, and lots of coffee options! The back patio area is great too. The grinder wasn't working so my husband couldn't get the pour over, but otherwise we had a good experience.

I just went to Muddy Paw Coffee shop and it was one of the greatest experiences of life. I didnt know coffee could be like this! Things are different for me now. I've got a skip in my step and a smile on my face :) the two gentleman working while I was there were fantastic, fast and funny! What a place and what a time to be alive!

    Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice

Love bringing my dog here to use the dog play area. I went this morning solo however, craving an orange juice. Remembered they were one of the shops in the area that have that, so went for a nice morning walk to the Eagle Rock location. A plus -- you can use your phone number for Cash App rewards here. My fresh oj ended up being free from building up my points. Made it even better. Quick note on service; the barista was handwriting the notes for the fresh pastry delivery in the morning. I'd say there is a level of care here that makes it a lovely place to visit, in the morning, or whenever you get your chance.

This was also my very first time at this location, and I must say it was quite a treat! The coffee shop is conveniently located right across from the Americana, so you can easily street park or park at the mall and walk over. It was busy when I arrived on a Friday afternoon, but there were still tables available both inside had outside. The chairs are not the comfiest, but the shop is still very clean and well maintained! When I approached the counter, I was greeted by the friendly employees who were busy preparing orders. This gave me the opportunity to peruse their unique menu and settle upon a latte to order. My sweet tooth was in effect and I opted for the Tiramisu latte with oat milk and was asked if sweet was ok! I thought it was so cool how you're able to customize the drink as you please and bonus points for no charge for nondairy milk. It was very affordable at $6.85. My latte came out pretty quickly and I marveled at the cocoa powdered topping. It truly tasted like a dessert and was so rich and indulgent yet somehow I didn't feel gross after drinking it. The oat milk was creamy and perfectly frothed and the espresso was well balanced. I had a dance class that night and it gave me just the right amount of energy to make it through the class yet still manage to sleep fine that night! I will definitely return next time I'm in the area as a few other menu items sounded equally enticing and the customer service was so impeccable!

The young lady who helped was nice and explained how pick up works. Appreciate the helpfulness. This location has both indoor and outdoor seating area. There are several tables inside and I notice couple of tables outside. Store was very clean and well maintained. They also had sample cookies by the register for customers to try which was a nice gesture . This coffee shop is located in walking distance from Americana which makes it a great spot to grab coffee after shopping. There is street parking available and Americana/ Glendale Galleria are another option for parking. I will be back to try different coffees , since the menu looks different than other coffee places.

So many people define themselves as experts. Sadly, many of those same people will walk in and say things like, "Gosh, I'm tired, could you make me a double espresso?", clearly assuming that stronger taste automatically means more caffeine. My wife and I simply like a good coffee in the morning. Which leads to the obvious question: what do we define as "good coffee"? For us, it helps us get into the day, tastes pleasant, and does not leave a bitter note. We are absolutely not coffee experts and can discuss coffee, at best, at what we Germans would call "Thekenniveau" -- bar-counter level. I do understand, however, that it may make a difference whether beans were roasted weeks or even months ago somewhere remote, then shipped and stored, or whether they were roasted locally and recently. So we asked ChatGPT, and one of the recommendations was REGENT Coffee in our neighborhood. We went. Our directive was very clear: we explained that we knew little to nothing about coffee, which was precisely why we had come in and were looking for advice. The lady helping us started with: "Well, it all comes down to the settings of your coffee machine when you pour your espresso." I responded that we are not really espresso drinkers -- we drink Americano. She gave us "the look" and explained that an Americano is espresso with more water. The information: fair enough. The way it was communicated: not ideal if your goal is to win me as a customer. From there, the conversation did not really lead anywhere. We were asked questions such as whether we preferred nutty or fruity coffee. That may be a perfectly reasonable question for someone who already knows what those terms mean in practical taste terms. But we had just told her that we did not. That was the entire reason we were there. We were not looking to prove our coffee knowledge. We were looking for someone who had the expertise to guide us. In the end, we bought an Americano. It was served so hot that my wife burned her mouth in the car, and it took almost the entire 45-minute drive to Santa Monica before it had reached what we considered a comfortable drinking temperature. It cost $5. And we did not even particularly like it. Would I go again? No. Would I recommend REGENT based on this experience? No. What makes this particularly disappointing is that this was a tremendous lost opportunity to turn us into long-term customers. We like expert advice. We drive to Farmers Markets to buy fresh produce knowing full well that we may pay 200% more for something that is perhaps only 15% better. But we can taste the difference, and that makes it worthwhile to us. Coffee could have been exactly the same. If I specialized in coffee, I would make it incredibly easy for people like us to enter that world. I would offer tastings. I would explain, in simple language, what "nutty", "fruity", "chocolatey", "bright", "smooth" or "low acidity" actually mean in the cup. I might offer a short class on how to set up a home coffee machine properly. Maybe even machine-specific sessions. Maybe in the shop. Maybe at the customer's home. Because there are customers walking through the door saying, quite literally: "We know very little. We want advice. We are willing to spend money." And even better from a business perspective: Not just money once. Continuous money. Imagine if the conversation had instead started with: "I totally understand where you are coming from. Coffee can become unnecessarily complicated very quickly. Since you mostly drink Americano and want something smooth rather than bitter, let me give you two small tastes so you can understand the difference. Then I'll recommend one bean to start with." We would almost certainly have bought a bag. Possibly two. And if we had liked them, we might have bought beans there for years. Instead, they sold us one tiny cup for $5 over the counter, while the payment screen suggested an 18-25% tip. And two potentially very loyal customers walked out frustrated. That, to me, is the real business lesson here. It is not about whether REGENT makes good or bad coffee. Taste is subjective. It is about recognizing the customer who is standing right in front of you. Especially when that customer is effectively saying: "Please teach me how to spend more money with you." And then making sure you do not send them home without doing exactly that. Small caffeine footnote: espresso is more concentrated in caffeine per ounce, but a normal serving of drip coffee usually contains more total caffeine than a single espresso because the serving is much larger. Stronger taste does not automatically mean more caffeine.
