I'd like to start by clarifying that this review is for the collective of the three sister businesses located next to each other. During our visit, we ordered coffee from the coffee shop ($27 for three drinks) and matcha from the neighboring spot ($19 for two drinks). We chose to sit at the adjacent brunch location because we wanted to enjoy the sunny outdoor seating. When we sat down, a staff member from the brunch spot informed us that we were not allowed to sit there. We politely asked if it would be possible, given that we had purchased drinks from two of the three connected businesses, but were told no. While I understand that businesses may have seating policies, it was surprising as both outdoor tables were empty and there was no line or visible demand for the seating at the time. From a customer perspective, it felt discouraging not to be able to enjoy seating at an establishment connected to where we had just made purchases. That said, the coffee was good and the matcha was also enjoyable. However, the overall experience left us feeling unwelcome. Customer experience plays a significant role in whether people return, and this interaction ultimately impacted our decision not to come back. Additionally, when ordering the matcha, we were directed next door to complete payment, which further suggested that the three businesses operate as a collective. This made the seating restriction even more confusing. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as small moments of flexibility and hospitality can make a big difference in how customers feel. read more

Fernanda is incredible! Very kind, attentive, and provided us with a great experience on a Sunday morning. She recommended the chilaquiles and they were a 10/10. She explained the concept of the restaurant as being separate from the menu next door after we asked about Birria being added to our order. I would have preferred protein on the chilaquiles, but they were delicious on their own. The eggs were perfect and I loved the beans. 10/10 The green juice was so good! I will not be going back here. A friend and I go to a different coffee shop or lunch spot each week and decided to check this place out. As soon as we walked in the door a server came up to us and asked if we wanted breakfast or brunch I said yes we want to eat. She's like do you want coffee and burritos that's next door. I'm like no we want to eat. She then starts to hand me a menu and asks if I want to look at a menu first. I'm now getting annoyed that she is not seating my friend and I as I have told her several times we came there to eat. Finally she seats us and I ask for a glass of water. She brings me over a bottled water and starts pouring it before I can say anything so now I have a water that's $3.50 that I did not order. That is absolutely ridiculous that you don't provide your patrons with free water. As for the food my friend liked her carrot pancakes. I ordered the Nutella French toast after seeing the menu on their Instagram page. Well apparently the Nutella French toast also comes with bananas some kind of berry jam and strawberries on it. It does not say that on the menu and the flavors were too much. They need to put what is listed on the menu. I do not want all those flavors together. Also my friend asked for some syrup for her pancakes to which they tell her it's made in house and it's in between the two pancakes and they refuse to give her more. My friend and I were enjoying sitting and catching up while eating our breakfast. Then someone who appeared to maybe be a manager or owner came over and asked us if everything was okay but it didn't seem genuine it seemed like he was rushing us to get out of there. We then get a box to get my friends food to go. I asked for the bill to be split between my friend and I based on what we ordered. The server then tells me the total and it's the whole bill and I again say no I asked for it to be split please and tell her what I got. She proceeds to then just split it down the middle and still doesn't do it based on what we got even though with those toast handheld Bill things it's so easy to do. Whatever we pay the bill and leave. We will not be back it is not inviting. There is parking along the Main Street and it is meter parking. My friend and I parked two blocks away and residential and that is free. The ambience was nothing to write home about. There was some music and minimal decor. I really wanted to like this place.. but started bad. Their iPad (yelp waitlist) wasn't working & staff didn't tell us anything... after waiting 70 min to be seated, people complained. That's when they told us about the iPad not working.. the entire time they had a physical list (didn't warn anyone). They charge for water (served in bottle) .. They were short staff.. they weren't friendly.. didn't check in on us the entire time we were eating. They food looked great but it was cold .. so it didn't make me happy after waiting all of that time... unfortunately I will not come back. read more

I ate at their brunch place two doors down this morning with my coworkers. We were excited, but left disappointed for several reasons: 1. Strong Sage Smell: As soon as we walked in, we were hit with a strong sage scent. They burn sage throughout the space, which is fine in theory--but it's not common practice in restaurants, and we had no idea it would be part of the experience. The smell was overwhelming. When we asked to air out the space by opening the door, staff gave us attitude. 2. No Menu Flexibility: One coworker is allergic to cheese, and we ordered the avocado toast to share. We asked for the cheese on the side so I could still enjoy it, but the waitress refused and pointed to a no-substitutions policy on the back of the menu. I understand restaurants setting rules, but it felt inflexible and inconsiderate of dietary needs. 3. Sweet Latte Miscommunication: I ordered the hot honey lavender latte and asked if it was sweet. The waitress said no, but it ended up being very sweet--just something to note if you're trying to limit sugar. 4. Billing Issues with the Mujer Divina Plate: When it came time to pay, the waitress read the items aloud to one person in our group who was covering the bill (we all Venmoed her). No printed check was provided until after payment. When we reviewed the receipt, we noticed we were charged $22 for each Mujer Divina plate, even though the menu listed it at $20 (see picture). We were also charged a large party fee, even though there were only five of us (most places count six or more as a large party). The waitress said the price difference was due to tax, but that didn't make sense since tax was already added at the end of the receipt. We spoke with an owner who apologized, explained that their system hadn't been updated with new pricing, and refunded us the $10 overcharge. When we brought up the large party fee, he first said it applied to groups of five or more, then checked and confirmed it was actually six or more. He refunded the tip we had added, since we'd unknowingly tipped on top of the auto-gratuity. We told them to keep the large party fee since it matched what we would have tipped anyway. We appreciated the resolution but couldn't help but wonder how often others are overcharged without realizing. 5. Only Bottled Water: We were surprised to learn they don't offer tap water--only bottled. It's a small thing, but it added to the overall sense that the customer experience wasn't prioritized. The food--including the Mujer Divina plate--was really good, but the service and experience didn't match. I wouldn't return or recommend this place. Good food matters, but so does good service--and that was lacking here. UPDATE: I previously mentioned a concern about a deleted social media post. I've since learned it was removed due to group policies, not by the owners or management of the business, so I removed that portion of this review to reflect that. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived, but we were told we had to move tables because the one we chose "accommodated three people," even though there were plenty of open tables. The interaction felt rigid and unwelcoming, and we had to repeat ourselves several times. The server seemed stressed and distracted despite the lack of customers. Food took a long time to come out, and when it did, the panini wasn't pressed or hot and unfortunately had a hair in it. We also asked for tap water and were told they don't serve it, only bottled branded water for purchase. Overall, it was an odd and uncomfortable experience. I've been to this place twice!! Once because I was excited to take my mother to try their burritos. My first experience I left upset because the service was extremely bad! DON'T believe the approximate wait time they give you! Horrible management for table turn around. *Keep in mind this restaurant only has room for 12 people inside the dinning area, and two small tables on the sidewalk. (If you are seated outside, get ready to have people standing right next to your table, since there is no other place for them to wait). There is suppose to be a 45 minute turn around time for tables, but that is not implemented. When we arrived we saw a group that was being seated; by the time we decided to leave, (more than an hour and ten minutes later), they were still sitting around their table, having coffee. The staff does NOT know how to turn around tables in a timely manner. *This is our experience at Mujer Divina Brunch: We were told when we arrived the wait time for our party of 5, would be around 20 minutes. We were waiting for more than an hour, (we decided to wait longer to avoid the inconvenience of having to move to a new location). While waiting, we saw they seated another group of five, that had arrived after us. I went in to ask the hostess. She apologized. I then noticed a table where it seemed the people were getting ready to leave soon. I told the hostess we could just wait for that table to be available. She said ok, but you will be seated outside. I told her we wanted to sit inside, but she said that it was not possible, that the table inside was already assigned to another group. (The interesting part of this is that the outside table was still being used, but she still said that our group would be seated outside. She said that we just needed to wait until the table was available). At that point we decide to leave, and go to a different place. The funny thing is that we were already ordering our food at the new restaurant , when we got a text saying our table was ready. We visited on a weekend, so we came prepared for a crowd. We added our names to the Yelp waitlist at the entrance and settled in. The staff seemed a bit scattered, and table turnover was slow -- there were guests who had clearly finished eating and were just lingering, which didn't help. Not ideal when there's a line out the door. Once we were seated, though, all of that faded. The food is genuinely excellent. The pancakes were thick and well made, the eggs cooked exactly right, and we left completely satisfied. Good breakfast done right is hard to find, and this place delivers. The wait and front-of-house flow could use some tightening up, but the kitchen more than makes up for it. We'll absolutely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid brunch spot read more

I had a really disappointing experience at Mujer this morning. I came in around 8:15 am alone before work, hoping to enjoy a beautiful, peaceful breakfast. I was offered seating outside or at the bar. It was cold, and I was wearing a skirt. The restaurant wasn't full, there was no line, and there were open tables inside that were available. I explained I would prefer a table inside, and I was told tables inside were only for parties of three or more. What confused me was that another woman was sitting alone at a table and the other one table had 2 people. It felt inconsistent and honestly bizarre. After a pause, I was told I could sit at a table, but only for 45 minutes. I agreed, since I wasn't planning to stay long anyway, but it already set an uncomfortable tone. I ordered chilaquiles. When the plate arrived, the eggs were scrambled instead of sunny side up. I kindly mentioned it, and I was told I never said that. I explained that I wasn't asked how I wanted my eggs, which is something most restaurants clarify when eggs are included. Instead of simply correcting it with understanding, it turned into an uncomfortable back and forth where I was made to feel like it was my fault. The eggs were eventually remade, but the server scraped the scrambled eggs off my plate first and into a to go container in front of me before replacing them. It felt strange and unprofessional. When the new eggs came, I started eating and then found a hair in my food. At that point I was already frustrated. I mentioned it, and waitress simply asked if I wanted just the coffee or a remake. I mentioned to just have the coffee to go. I wasn't rude, I didn't raise my voice, and I didn't ask for anything unreasonable. I just wanted a normal, respectful dining experience. Instead, I left feeling uncomfortable, disappointed and discriminated against for whatever reason. No refill on regular coffee, if you want water you have to buy a bottle, because they not allow to give you free water. We were 3 , they brought my food first and 10 min later my mom's and sister, when my sister told the waitress her order was wrong, the waitress argued with her, at the end, waitress brought the correct plate but our food was cold because we were waiting for my sister's plate to arrive. This was my first time coming here even though I'm local to the area and have heard a lot about this place. Both my boyfriend and I are extremely patient and understanding people so to say the service was bad is saying a lot. First we waited an hour to be seated which was no problem, but right when we got the text we walked over from our car which was like maybe 1-2 min max, and when we got there they told us they seated someone else so that they had to get another table ready. We get seated and absolutely no one came by to take our order or check in on us for around 20 min, which seemed to be the case for others that were seated before us. When we were finally attended we asked for water and they told us they don't have water, only bottled water for $3? which is kind of crazy idk that had never happened to me at a restaurant before. We then ordered and the food was good! But I ordered one of the pancakes and asked for syrup and the server told us she could not give us syrup. I asked if they just didn't have any for the pancakes or if we could purchase some and she said they did have some but not for the pancakes I ordered bc they're already sweet? I was so confused since it was just a simple request and I know certain high end restaurants don't allow menu changes but it was a simple and normal condiment for the pancakes? The sauce was too spicy for me, so I asked for water. They told me the only water available was bottled water for sale and refused to provide tap water. I think the restaurant should either make the sauce milder or offer tap water to help customers. I even tried drinking hot coffee, but it didn't help. We waited approximately between 40-50 minutes only to have people with smaller parties who arrived after us be seated- we were a party of 5. I approached the gentleman who was seating people and he explained that they were waiting for their larger table to leave. The lovely ladies at that table looked like they were celebrating and catching up- nowhere near leaving. So we decided to leave.
