Horrible service been waiting for over an hour for service. I'm seriously thinking of getting up and leaving. Too bad I'm hungry

So, long story short! This place is a must stop in and have dinner. We had dinner her about 24 years ago. The food was good. Today we stopped in after a day at the outlets for dinner and we were not disappointed. It is a bit confusing when you walk in. There is a bar when you first enter with a restaurant area to the right. There is an enclosed porch area that leads to outdoor seating and a pool area. We sat at the outdoor bar. Our bartender was Tammy. She was awesome. Lots of locals come in for the daily specials. I was told you need to come in early. I had the French Onion Soup and French Onion Burger. The soup had a hearty broth filled with onions and topped with lots of cheese. The burger was like continuing the soup. I am a huge fan. The husband had the Shrimp Scampi. The shrimp were well seasoned, but the sauce needed a little bit something more. We will definitely be making this a regular stop when we are in the mountains. read more

Sydney is the absolute BEST waitress ever!!!!! Her crocs had my kids SO entertained (which they loved and so did I) and I enjoyed her service more than anything. She was so personable and overall just an amazing waitress. If you are planning on going to Murphy's Loft I would definitely recommend requesting Sydney! read more

Was here for dinner today. Had the Chicken Piccata and my husband had the chicken parmigiana. Both are always our favorites. Had the potato kegs as an app and there were great!!! It's a great family restaurant and we come here often. Our server Sydney is awesome! She is very attentive, always asking if we needed anything and giving her recommendations on what we asked her. Sydney is always friendly and always has a smile on her face. We request her whenever she is working. If you want a wonderful dinner with friendly service, come to Murphy's and ask for her! We have been to just about every restaurant within 10 miles of Blakeslee... we are huge go-our-to eat people when not at home. This was our first, but definitely not last, visit to Murphy's. We sat in the enclosed patio area. Our server, Donna, was gracious and kind. She was on top of food and drinks. The kids had chicken tenders and fries. I had chicken Parmesan- very good. Hubby had queen cut prime rib- also very good. The French onion soup was honestly the best I have ever had...very flavorful! Highly recommend ! read more

Food and beer were good, but service was way too slow - ie only asked if we wanted a second drink when we asked for the bill.

It was my first time there for wing Night which is on a Monday in case you are wondering. The wings come in orders of 6 which was nice because i wanted to try all the sauces! The cranberry was not bad and that is a compliment from me because I don't like cranberry anything. The Hot was HOT so if spicy is for you then go for it. the Thai Chilli and the Honey mustard were also a delight. The seasoned waffle fries were also amazing. I had the Maryland style crab cake appetizer and it was awful. The patties had pieces of crab shell mixed in. Poor kitchen prep. The asparagus was the vegetable of the day and server told us it was grilled. They were grilled but from being frozen. They were so watery and chewy ..barely edible. What a dump! I get the "rustic" feel that a lot aim for in the Poconos but this place is downright outdated, and crappy. (Ever been to a place that is best described as: Sticky?) I ordered a Cesar salad with salmon. The salmon served to me was 80% raw. Listen, I'm all for some sashimi... but I'm not going to eat your cheap frozen BS raw. lettuce was edible, I gotta give em that at the very least. The customer service was very bad! The woman taking the order was very rude and then to find out she was the manager!!! The food wasn't that great. Burnt chicken tender sandwich and messed up some of the other meals!! I wasn't sure what to expect when we pulled into Murphy's, but I was pleasantly surprised. We chose to sit in the outdoor dining area and it was the perfect choice for a nice summer day. There's also a pool outback which looked great. The menu is pretty extensive so I wasn't sure which direction I wanted to go. I ended up going simple - salad, grilled cheese and fries. For such a basic meal, everything was delicious. It was great to see they made their croutons, honey mustard, and hot sauce in house. Everyone else I was with also enjoyed their dishes as much as I enjoyed mine. FYI, the waitress informed me they do .50 cent wings on Monday nights with a ton of different flavors. She told me about a root beer reduction glaze as well as a bacon-maple sauce with bacon crumbles, to name a couple. This is my new favorite Pocono spot! read more

This place was absolutely terrible, though I got exactly what I expected when I arrived. I ate here because options are few in this area and while it came highly recommended by locals, it was poor. The restaurant itself is dark and dirty. There is an outdoor patio which wasn't bad, but there were plenty of bikers filling the air with the smell of Harley exhaust and piercing our ears with revving engines in the parking lot. The food was bad; I ordered a cheese burger because I wasn't expecting much from the kitchen and what I got was flavorless and looked like store-bought frozen burger patties. It was shaped like a hockey puck. My girlfriend got a veggie burger which she described as "baby food mixed with bread crumbs". The prices were also a bit steep considering the location, quality of food, and the attentiveness of the wait staff. On the plus side, the beer was cold and Yeungling draft was dirt cheap. I think the only reason this place survives is because they are one of the only places around. Also, to categorize this place as "Pizza" is misleading. read more

PROS: Ah well, one of the few places open past a decent time in the area. Had a lot of difficuly finding a place with the Phillies game open late in the area. They were away at San Fran so it was gonna be late. CONS: TV placement and size are HORRIBLE! Limited beer selection. Kitchen closed at 11. There were more Phillies fans as customers, but the stupid bartender had to have the volume for the Yankees. Realize you're in the Poconos, NOT ALASKA! We had dinner here tonight and it was just OK, I got the prime rib and mashed potatoes and it was lukewarm and the mashed potatoes were lumpy, my salad had definitely seen better days. My wife's French onion soup was not cooked long enough as the onions felt raw but the cheesesteak egg rolls were pretty good. We were just in around July 4th and everything was delicious so I'm not sure what changed, if it was an off night or what. I really like Murphy's Loft so we will give them another chance and then I will come back and update my review. read more

I love Murphy's Loft! In the summertime they have a wonderful outdoor pool and tiki bar. Very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. The bartenders and wait staff are kind, helpful and attentive. The food is also excellent. Highly recommend the Chicken Sesame salad read more

Went here on Monday when they had the special for wings... Probably the best chicken wings I've ever had and I'm not a chicken wing eater.. To be honest I'm very picky with greasy stuff but these wings are HEAVENLY I shared them with my family and ordered the mini crab cakes for myself as an appetizer. They are VERY generous on the crab meat in the crab cake. I have had Bonefish grill's Crab cakes and so far they are my favorite but I have to say with all honesty that these crab cakes were giving Bonefish are sure fire run for their money! I also ordered a plate of waffle fries and mozzarella sticks to fill my family up and not be too full and feel sick. Waffle fries were pretty good I'd definitely have them again, but steer clear of the mozzarella sticks they definitely need work and they are kinda flavorless but even that didn't affect my opinion of the other dishes I ordered. A pleasant surprise. We went to another place down the street which was closed and ended up here by just driving down the road. It is a town bar feel, but the service and food were great. We we sat right by a fire place which added a nice warmth to the dining room. The fried green beans were great and we also got the tacos which are on special on Tuesdays. The chicken tacos were great. Meal was priced Right and the beer selection was also very good for a place of this size. read more

This place is a must to dine. Food is great at a very reasonable price. You wont be disappointed. The restaurant is an authentic log cabin that was constructed in 1934 of native spruce, harvested entirely from the woods in the back of the building. read more

We've been to this restaurant at least 5 other times but after the service tonight NEVER AGAIN!!!! It took over an hour hour to get pasta and a BLT, cold after we asked a few times were our meal was. The waitress asked my husband how our meal was and he honsently asnswered and she ignored him and said good. To make it worse the waitress put someone's else bar tab on our bill, I know this because we waited so long I went to the bar to get a beer and I don't think 3 cost $22.50. No one cared even when we tried to say something except to tell us how packed the deck was so we're not important. Worse service ever and cold pasta for 3 and BLT $82.00? Really..... I've never given any business a bad review but this time I felt it was necessary. read more

We've been driving by Murphy's for years and never stopped in until just this summer. Now I know why it's survived all these years and usually has a full parking lot. The food was great and very reasonably priced. Huge burgers cooked to perfection, one of the best Reuben sandwiches I've ever had and a bar that will make everyone happy from light beer lovers to cocktail drinkers and craft brew buffs. Something for everyone. The crowd is a unique mix .... expect to see families, laid back bikers, young hikers, and senior golfers all enjoying the rustic charm together. There is a great outdoor bar/deck with a pool, covered porch, indoor bar, and rustic dining room. All very casual. I would give Murphy's 5 stars compared to its casual Pocono counterparts but the service was a little spotty. We got our food and drinks fast but follow up service was a bit disorganized. This may have been the late lunch time or that we dined on the outdoor deck. I'll have to see on our next stop. read more

When we got there there was hardly anyone there. We were told that this is a very slow season for them. The server was very finally, She did the best she could, considering she was the only server serving the whole entire building. Are food was hot, freshly made and very good. Racism comes in many forms. While any establishment by law must serve someone. They arent obliged to make them feel at home or take good care of them. Racism by FOOD DEPRIVATION? Here it is. I went for dinner with my girl friend. I ordered mine which was ok. It was what i was expecting. It was cooked correctly. My friend however ordered pork shanks with fries. With my entree came an ok salad. We were told that my friends entre the pork shanks didnt come with a salad. That was a direct question. "Doesnt mine come with a salad too?" Asked my friend. Who happens to be black. No it doesnt. Replied the friendly waitress. At the next table there two white middle aged men. One ordered the exact thing my friend ordered. He however, got a salad. Now the salad was, as stated just ok. But what motive was there for not giving my friend a salad. We know the gentleman's salad was not ordered in addition to his entre as we could overhear everything. Was this racism? Well we were in a town called WHITE HAVEN, PA. The pork shanks were really horrible. My pork cutlet was fine. The malodorous mensroom was quite disgusting. The overall experience was unpleasant. But i guess that was their goal. So white folks in white haven. Get over yourselves! To finish this review you have to give a star rating. One star is generous. Another restaurant in this town, a pizza place was also cited for racism on yelp by an asian women there with here family. You figure it out. read more

Blown away pocono resident been living there for sometime now apparently this nascar bar is a golf bar...lol ... don't dare go in and ask to watch the nascar race... As great as ever! This was our first time back to Murphy's after a couple of years, and its just as good as we remember! The staff is amazingly friendly, and the service is excellent!! Atmosphere of this little place is amazing! Cozy and comfortable! Ordered the prime rib and it was severely overcooked and I could barely cut it with a steak knife. It was bland and I had about 4 bites and was done. Our waitress had no personality and was basically down right rude and made us feel like it bothered her that she had to wait on us! Stopped here on St. Patty's day for lunch. Had my wife and two kids. Not sure what I was expecting being St. Patty's day. The bar was crowed when we walked in but it was a more mature crowd, so that was perfect. We went to the main dining room. Our server was really attentive and very nice. At one point my wife said to me "our waitress is great". We are not high maintenance people but attention to the little things go a long way with us and our waitress went above and beyond. I had a bacon cheese burger and it was great. My wife had a grill chicken sandwich, since there was nothing left I suppose it was good. They have a kids menu with lots of choices.
