OMG!!!!! I LOVE this place. So the original restaurant is located in Seattle (where I'm from), and I'd used to go to the Seattle restaurant a few times a month as it was close to my work place. When I saw this restaurant while visiting family, I was so happy and could not believe they opened up one here!!! This is NOT a fancy sushi place with random Americanized rolls. I was super excited to try this place but was sadly disappointed. The rice was cold and dry and the fish was not of good quality. The shrimps used in the rolls were tiny and were not clean. Although my order wasn't ready when it was supposed to be, I can overlook that because they are new, however it was a weekday and the place wasn't busy. My family and I are ecstatic that Musashi has opened up in Corona. The food is high quality, authentic Japanese, and the restaurant is immaculately clean. My husband's favorite item is the spicy tuna. Their sauce is made in house and very flavorful. My favorite items are the Inari (rice in tofu skin), Tamago (egg omelette sushi). These choices sound very simple, but the omelette is made in house and the flavors of both tomago and inari are perfect. If you have a toddler, they will also love the Inari and Tomago. Their albacore and salmon sushi are also great. This is also a great restaurant if you want to eat healthy, ie: avocado roll, veggie roll, miso soup, grilled vegetables. They also have vegetarian options. I met the manager, Wesley, who has a unique blend of hospitality and no nonsense which I appreciate. Ann kindly worked the cashier and answered my questions. You can tell they both work hard and love what they do. It's located in the Vons shopping center next to Santana Regional Park and nearby Crossroads Church. My review is long overdue but this place is AMAZING. First of all when you enter the building, it is GORGEOUS. They did an amazing job decorating it with a light up cherry blossom tree. The establishment is really inviting but the best thing about this place are the PEOPLE. They were so kind! The sushi chef and the kind lady of took my order were so cheery and kind and talked to my fiancee and I with such warmth and love. The sushi chef also gave us a free dish of his own creation and WOW! It was the best thing I had. So flavorful and packed with flavor. Overall, come to this place! Its a hidden gem in Corona and as someone who went to SHS and been here all my life, I wish Musashi's was here sooner. Fellow Corona people, support this place!
