This quickly became one of my favorite grab-and-go breakfast spots. It's affordable, filling, and perfect for picking up something before starting your day. I found myself coming back almost every morning. I tried a variety of their musubi and onigiri, and honestly, there wasn't a bad choice. The Black Pepper & Cheese Spam Musubi was a pleasant surprise. I had never thought to pair black pepper and cheese with Spam, but somehow it worked really well. The flavors complemented each other perfectly, and I'd definitely order it again. The Spicy Spam Musubi wasn't my favorite. It tasted more like sriracha than a balanced spicy sauce, so it didn't stand out compared to the other options. For the onigiri, the Salmon was delicious. The salmon flakes were flavorful without being overly salty, making it an easy choice if you like a more traditional filling. My favorite was the Tuna Mayo Onigiri. The tuna-to-mayo ratio was spot on, and they were generous with the filling, so every bite had plenty of flavor. The Mentaiko Onigiri was another standout. If you're a fan of mentaiko, it's hard to go wrong with this one. Sometimes simple is best, and the combination of seasoned rice and mentaiko was incredibly satisfying. One thing I appreciated across the board was how generous they were with the fillings. There's plenty of rice, making everything very filling, but they don't skimp on what's inside either. Service is about as straightforward as it gets. You grab what you want, pay, and head out. The shop itself is tiny, fitting only a couple of customers inside at a time. Every time I visited there was a line out the door. Fortunately, it moves quickly, so it's still a great option when you're in a hurry. I found myself respawning here every morning. If you're looking for a quick, affordable breakfast that actually keeps you full, this is an easy recommendation.

Small shop. Owner was very sweet. My favorites are the tempura and the egg ones. One of the best musubis I've tried! Unfortunately wasn't able to snap pics of the other food items. There were bentos and onigiri as well. Will definitely be going back.

Tucked into a building a couple of blocks off Waikiki Beach, this is a great place to grab a quick snack. I tried the salmon musubi (topped with some salmon roe), the egg and spam musubi, and a pack of shumai which the shopkeeper offered to warm up for me in her microwave. You bet! There are a wide variety of other musubi options, packed up and ready to take out as well as more Japanese/Asian snack treats and a small gift/souvenir shop. And the musubi hit the spot!

Finally tried Musubi & Bento Iyasume because of all the hype... and I don't really get it. Ordered the egg avocado eel musubi ($4.88). It's big, but it basically just feels like a chunky piece of sushi. Flavor-wise, it's nothing special, everything tastes fine, but there's no wow factor at all. For the price, I expected way more. It's not bad, just very average. Definitely overhyped in my opinion.

Best Musubi that I've ever had. The rice is soft. I got the eel Musubi. It was soooo good. Came with a huge piece of eel. They did not skimp on the ingredients. Cute little store with a big variety of different Musubi. HAPPY MUSUBIING!!

This locally owned "hole in the wall" musubi n bento place is very popular with a line down the sidewalk. The line goes fast as people handpick their musubi n pay quickly. The musubi options are numerous from avocado, bacon, egg, spam musubi to musubi with shrimp tempura. Everything was delicious and it's very convenient for a quick bite. Musubi is also great for lunch snacks later in the day. The owner was super kind and sweet. Lots of aloha spirit here! A must try for musubi lovers.

Food: Super good musubi with an awesome selection. I chose one with rice, spam, eel, tamago, and avocado, and it was perfectly assembled. Every bite was balanced, flavorful, and very satisfying. You can really taste the care and attention put into each piece. Service: Service was great. It was just one Japanese lady working, and she was very kind and welcoming. Even while handling everything herself, she was efficient and pleasant, which made the experience feel very personal. Ambiance: Small, casual, and full of character. It feels like a true local spot and makes for a fun, quick stop while walking around Waikiki.

I really enjoyed this spot. I always picked up a couple of spam musubi for the road as we traveled across the island to different beaches. Whether it was for lunch, dinner, or an early beach day, the musubi always hit the spot. I especially loved the service since they let us take our time and actually see how the spam musubi looked before choosing. This location has all the spam musubi laid out in the front, making it easy to see what's good. The ratio of toppings to rice was perfect. It never felt like there was too much rice, just a great balance overall. My favorites were the tempura spam musubi and the eel, egg, and avocado spam musubi. Both were packed with flavor, and none of the toppings overpowered each other. I'll definitely be back to pick up more for beach days in Oahu.

I think this is hands-down, the best musubi place that we tried during our visit to Oahu. The musubi's are made fresh and there are so many different elections in the morning. If you don't want musubi, they also have some bento boxes and I even saw a mentaiko spaghetti that I wish I tried. We came here almost every morning and my favorite spam musubi was the eel avocado spam musubi. I think this is the best place to get delicious musubi at an affordable price. The cashier ladies are kind and this is a very much cute place for you to just pick up the food and go on your way they also have some cute little merch as well. I will miss this place, I hope to come back again!

This was the first thing we had after our flight. Vibe is grab and go - the musubis and bentos are wrapped for you to take. They are very affordable. Each musubi was only like $2.50. They were pretty good. I liked the unagi musubi the most. Service was nice as well. I would come back if I needed a quick and convenient lunch.

We got a bunch of spam musubi from here and the quality is amazing! my favorite was the spam musubi with avocado and eel i believe! its so filling and good for an on the go snack! Service was good! they're so nice:) It's quite small on the inside, it's kind of like a grab n go place! 10/10

I have learned since moving to Honolulu that musubi are to be readily available, i.e., grab-and-go. There is this atmosphere of busyness waiting in line here. And there is a reason why the line is long for Iyasume. The food options here are amazing, and I really like their selection of musubi toppings, especially as a quick breakfast before going on a day trip. I feel like musubi is something I should be learning to make at home, but the convenience at Iyasume is really appreciated. The shrimp tempura, avocado, and egg toppings are inspired.

At the start of one of our Island bus tours, our tour guide came on the speaker to call our attention to this store while our bus passed by. I thought oh wow must really be something! But looking out the window I didn't see anything big and spectacular. Later I walked by, saw nothing but this tiny little hole in the wall and a sweet lady tending store. This is what the tour guide was talking about? Yes! It's a powerful little store with some delicious and interesting tightly wrapped little jewels and touristy stuff. The store tender lady offered me a chair, and I sat there on the street enjoying some of them. Was one of the most enjoyable meals I had on the Island. Haha. Funny that. I also bought a fridge magnet with SPAM in big words on a VW van. Hilarious.

Hi, I have egg and dairy allergies. Does your salmon onigiri have any egg/dairy and/or cross contaminant with those ingredients? Thanks!

The salmon onigiri doesn't have any egg/dairy ingredients so enjoy without any worry 😉

Wanting to have masubi's catered to my wedding. Is this a possibility? Would need about 75 masubis

Yes we can make 75 musubi. Could you call our main store…

Do they use Msg in all musubi?

I'm honestly not sure. If it helps my husband gets headaches when he has msg and didn't have any after eating here.

I highly recommend making a reservation as this place is very popular and is not very big inside. However, the service is very friendly! I had the deluxe pork loin set which includes rice, salad, soup, and curry sauce. The meat was extremely tender, but the coating was a touch oiler than I am used to. The curry sauce was really tasty and was a nice addition to the katsu!
