There's no age limit so yes your 15 year old can go in.

No outdoor seating but they have those giant windows that can open up facing the ocean.

Yes!!! All ages! It gets a little crazy on the weekends with louder music but that happens usually Saturday and Sunday after about 1/2pm! Looking forward to hosting you and the fam!

Hi Taylore! Trivia starts at 8pm on Wednesdays. We take only a certain number of reservations starting Monday each week via phone! Call us at 949-675-1556!

Despite this, they promptly acknowledged our presence and exhibited exceptional friendliness and assistance. During the order taking process, they continued to provide helpful guidance. Although the tables were packed I think the ambiance was acceptable. The noise level remained low and the service was swift and quiet. The menu had everything we would want. We had the chicken-friend steak and eggs and briskets and gravy. Eggs were cooked excellently, biscuits were also excellent. Here are my suggestions. Chicken-fried steak - this item tastes and feels like frozen steak pre-breaded and fried - tossed in the microwave and covered with white cream gravy. This item needs to be raised to the level of freshly fried and not in seed oil but in avocado or coconut oil (both are high temp and non-toxic) The gravy is white cream and flavorless - it needs to receive the "drippings" from the fried steak, sausages, or bacon to produce brown gravy with some flavor. This establishment does not have espresso - every other breakfast place in OC does - Breakfast Republic, Poached Kitchen, Cracked Egg, etc. Servers can make good espresso if the espresso machine is automatic like a Jura with two bean trays and a milk reservoir. This is a profit center and most places have a dedicated person who continuously make espresso drinks.

We got there a little before the game and had plenty of choices for seats. It definitely filled up as kickoff got closer, but with TVs everywhere, this place is pretty much built for watching sports. The food was surprisingly good, plenty of choices, good beer selection, and the service was excellent. Our waitresses were friendly and attentive even as the place got busier. The whole crowd had a fun energy, which made watching the World Cup even better. I've heard Wild Goose really cranks up at night with a younger crowd, but I haven't experienced that side of it yet. For a big sporting event, though, I'd absolutely come back. Great atmosphere, good food, cold beer, lots of TVs, and friendly service. Hard to ask for much more.

I ordered all my favorite straight away; escargot, steak tartare with frites (you must add the egg yolk!), lyonnaise salad (on the menu it's listed as Salade Frisée aux lardon, lyonnaise is a regional name but I know the ingredients), a bottle of Sancerre, soufflé and two espresso. The meal was fantastic, so elegant, refined but made with simple ingredients you can taste. The service was leisurely and impeccable, the waitress was so knowledgeable and welcoming. Most people in the OC are more familiar with the chain bakery Moulin which serves French quick fair but the star of the show is certainly bouillon. They have a fabulous menu for those that missing truly authentic or for folks interested to try new French meals . Great selection of wines from different French regions that are affordable (in France is not about the price tag but more on the region it grew from). Stop by for a quick bite or stay for the long French lunch / dinner. Bon appétit, et vive la gastronomie!

Kindness. I often end my posts with the words: "Be kind to yourself and everyone around you. Kindness is free." Lately, though, I've wondered if kindness is becoming harder to find. We see broken-down cars on busy roads and people drive past. We see others struggling and often look away. Yet every now and then, we witness a random act of kindness that reminds us who we can be. A few months ago in Newport Beach, traffic was heavy when an elderly Asian woman found herself stranded in the middle of the road. Her car had stopped, traffic was backing up, and she looked frightened and overwhelmed. Then I saw Abel, a bouncer and barback from Mutts, step out of his vehicle without hesitation. While someone moved his car, he walked over to help her. Soon his nephew joined him, and together they pushed that car for two blocks until it was safely out of traffic. They didn't wait for applause. They didn't stay for a thank you. They simply got back into their vehicle and drove away. I recognized Abel because I've seen him working at Mutts, where I occasionally have breakfast. That day, however, I didn't see a bouncer or a barback. I saw a man whose character was every bit as strong as he appeared. His simple act of kindness made my day. It reminded me that kindness isn't free--it is priceless. It costs time, effort, compassion, and the willingness to help a stranger when no one is watching. Abel, if you ever read this, thank you. The woman you helped was looking for you afterward, but you didn't do it for gratitude. You did it because you saw someone who needed help. Your parents raised a good man, and your nephew is learning from a good example. In a world that often feels divided, moments like these remind us what humanity is truly about: caring for one another, being selfless, and choosing kindness when it's easier to keep driving. Thank you, Abel. We need more people like you. Be kind to yourself and everyone around you. Kindness is priceless. Went here for fourth of July this past weekend and the guy managing the line was extremely RUDE & RACIST. He was a white skinny male - maybe look at who you're hiring to manage the line. We got in line and we are already halfway through. Bunch of people behind us. Im just talking to my friends and BF waiting to get in when this guy comes up and tells my bf that he "left the line, came back & is now not allowed in" mind u, me & my group were there the ENTIRE time. & funny we were the only asians in line at the time & my bf is half hispanic. AND whats even more funny? The girl group behind us all spoke up and told that racist male that we've been here this whole time. We dont even know them and they stood up for us. We left the line to not cause problems but i went back to say my piece bc i wasn't gonna let my bf get disrespected like that & that racist white man had nothin to say because he knows he's in the wrong lmao. Funny they had an incident last year on the fourth too where they were being racist & calling people beaners. Maybe double check who you're hiring to manage the line. Mutts is a staple in Newport. We all know they have humongoloid schooners that are so cold that they leave your beer with a frosties floating at the top (good thing,) but what seems to go unnoticed is the subtle radnesses of this bar. A/C? nah, they've got sweet windows that are open all the time and facing the beach. Bros and Bro-hos? Yep, but it's cool, because there's also a plethora of old surf dudes, baseball cap wearing frat types, and the almost homeless. And everyone gets along just peachy in harmony. That just doesn't seem to happen elsewhere... The marquee? Always adorned with a witty nugget of hilarity. Food? What o you expect, its bar food! It's salty and tasty, and you can hit it with some Gringo Bandito Hot Sauce, which I've mentioned before, I love seeing in OC. Check it out if you haven't before, but have a few extra bucks for the cab ride home, or a few extra hours for a pierside nap before you get behind a wheel. GREAT PLACE TO DAY DRINK! read more

Had breakfast here over the weekend! It was a good thing we went early, as it got crowded. It was funny to see some of the tables with "reserved" signs for locals. Its a bit loud inside, but bright and airy. two of us had breakfast burritos which were very good. The eggs benedict was good, but the hollandaise sauce was a little bland. Muffin & eggs cooked perfectly and was tasty. If you feel like a treat, try to cinnamon roll pancakes. I had a bit and it was sooo good. Schooners of ice cold beer hit the spot, and my friend loved his bloody marys! Our other friend had mimosa most of the morning, which he said were good as well. Our server, Amy, was very good, & on top of everything-even with it so busy. She juggled multiple tables on a demanding morning with a big smile. Wow! This place is unbelievably disgusting. After enjoying a few hours on a Duffey, we came over to Mutt Lynch's to grab a drink. I walked into the bar thinking my friends were behind me. After ordering a drink for me and another, I could here commotion at the front. I walk down and hear this douchebag bouncer yelling at my friends, calling them stupid fat b**ches, cows, any degrading name he could think of. He denied one of our friends from going in cause she was "drunk" which was total BS. All that was asked of him was to come tell me so we could leave. He did nothing and than turned into a psycho becoming a degrading POS. I can't believe this place allows someone to work here and treat customers like that. But do they really care? We came here to watch the sunset as we had a few cocktails. It was about 60% full, but took almost 10 minutes to get served at our table. It would have been faster to order at the bar. The beer menu brought out was out dated and many selections were not available, the waitress informed us they were in the process of making new ones. We ordered the garlic fries. They were delicious at first, but eventually you could see a puddle of oil in the bottom of the plate that made it not very appetizing. I wish they had drained them before plating them. Our schooner of beer was tasty, but we decided to move on from here. This is great location & worth checking out, but you may want to order from the bar if it looks busy. read more

Seriously fuck this place and the people who work there , long story short only people in the bathroom with me were white or should I say Caucasian not only were they racially profiling me but they seen me drop my wallet and took all my shit including my id which really wouldn't do anything for them ... once I asked the workers to speak to a manager they immediately covered one another and they told me to speak to a bartender who didn't even know what's going on in the establishment but is in charge let alone barely even spoke when I talked to him, with this happening good luck to the owners. You guys clearly care more about selling alcohol GOOD LUCK. Clearly this place is ran by a bunch of privilege people. read more

Great Food, Generous Portions & Amazing Service! We had such a great experience dining here! We ordered the combo platter, and we were honestly impressed by how much food you get--definitely great value for the price. Everything was flavorful, well-prepared, and perfect for sharing. What really made our visit stand out was our server, Heavenly. She truly lived up to her name--friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The young security guard with the tattoos that looks like he is on steroids belongs in jail and not in a bar as a security guard. He threatened to drag us out of the bar after one of my friends had her head down on the table. After asking why we were being kicked out he responded "you don't want to go there bitch" and said if we didn't leave immediately he would force us out. After speaking with the manager who was less than helpful he responded "maybe she shouldn't have had her head down." It's sad that a security guard can call a group of young girls bitches and threaten to "drags them out for no reason and even more sad that it is not taken seriously from he management. read more

What more could you ask?....in Newport. ..just about as close to the Beach&water as you can get for food and Drinks. This place is pure Beach fun with EXCELLENT View. Mutts is one of the very best places to go on the penninsula period. BIG Schooners of Beer...Pool tables and Jukebox, and a veiw of the beach and boardwalkers...People watching in here is Amazing. A must go for every tourist. The Food: PiZZa is AWESOME ...lots of cheese and very tasty. my choice is : the Pterodactyl wings......they serve the Big full wings and the sauce goes up the charts to Nuclear... I am from Arizona visiting Newport for the summer and found Mutt Lynch's on the boardwalk! Their menu is amazing with soo many different options and it's all extremely good food! Their drinks are amazing they come in giant goblets that all you need is one and your good to go! ;) They have an amazing beer selection as well as their house brewed vodka and tequila is very good as well. The atmosphere is very beachy and fun! Everyone is having a good time and they play great music! The service is fantastic too! I've been coming to Mutts for over a decade, and I can confidently say it's one of the best spots on the peninsula. The food is consistently top-notch, whether you're there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and the beer (get the schooner )selection never disappoints. The staff is always friendly, and the atmosphere is second to none, with its open layout and stunning ocean views that make every visit feel special. Had an awesome time at Mutt Lynch's! The vibe here is always laid-back and fun, but what really made our visit stand out was our server, McKayla. She was amazing, super friendly, upbeat, and just genuinely fun to talk to. You could tell she loved being there, and her energy was contagious. Don't even waste your time with these disrespectful ass bouncers. All we wanted to do was get inside the bar on a Thursday night. They didn't even want to give me the name of the "security" who was "guarding" the line. Asked every single one of the bouncers for the manager. Dumbass men who have a brain the size of a hamsters couldn't even give me a name. I love coming here for breakfast. Every time I go in I always sit at the bar because the bartender knows my order. She knows I like coffee with creamer and that I always get french toast. I have been coming here for breakfast for a while and Courtney has always been a personification of customer service. The bar top is nice and quiet in the morning which makes it great to talk to the bartenders and to other people as well. I'm glad I have a place where I can go and be treated like I'm at home and get hugs on the way out. read more

We were really disappointed with our experience at this bar in Newport Beach. My two friends and I were denied entry despite having valid Nevada IDs. The bouncer claimed they were fake after comparing them to another guest's, even though ours were clearly valid vertical formats. They even asked us to show personal info on our phones to confirm our birthdates, which felt completely invasive. After being super rude, the staff just dismissed us and told us to 'enjoy' somewhere else. We won't be coming back. read more
