"From 6am to 2pm You have plenty of time" mama of the 5 angels said. I have been working in this area for 4 yrs and passing by this truck 1,000 times then finally tried it out last week. Bunch of items to order, reasonable price, good taste and very kind mama. I searched on yelp using 'mexican food truck' from my current location as a keyword for uploading the pictures of the menu I took from the truck cuz I really don't know this truck's name. "My 5 Angels" popped out. Now I know how to call it.

You might say this is the OG of food trucks on Bunker Hill. It's been here -- serving the same delicious comfort food -- since before food trucks became au courant. By lunchtime a crowd of fusion food trucks will have encroached on Grand Ave. But all morning, this truck is the only game in town, and that's quite fine by me. The variety and flexibility of the menu is astounding, especially given the space constraints of a mobile kitchen. Every permutation of burrito, burger, sandwich, taco and more is available here. Just dream up what you want, and they can make it for you. Personally, my go-to order is a burrito composed of eggs, beans, cheese, and jalapenos, with a side of salsa picante (all for $3.50).

Absolutely amazing breakfast burritos. This cart is only on Grand, infront of the Wells Fargo Center, until 2pm. You can order the breakfast burritos, and anything on the menu, at any time. Obviously, cash only

How much for an egg and cheese burrito?

Should be no more than $3. I always get the egg, potato, and avocado burrito and they charge me $3.50

This spot is amazing and may have the best street tacos…read moreI've ever tried (and that says a lot because LA has so many good Mexican food options). I ordered the carne asada tacos and the brisket tacos and both were soooo delicious! They have a self serve toppings and salsa bar, so you can customize your tacos to what you liked. I'm a big fan of spicy foods and my tolerance to spice is pretty high, but the red salsa has a kick to it--so be warned. This spot is super casual but has a very large setup. Service here is very efficient and they are open 24/7 so there's no limit as to when you can get your taco fix. There's plenty of parking which gets extra points in my book, especially because that's typically hard to find in the area. There aren't any tables to eat at, but a lot of people ate standing or by their parked cars. If I could give this spot more than 5-stars I would. If you come here, trust me, you won't be disappointed.

It is a 24 hour spot so anytime I'm enjoying a night out I need a quick snack or a meal, I stop by here. Their lines go pretty quickly if you're visiting during meal times, but they have their whole set up to be as efficient as possible. When ordering, you'll go up and order your items I always get tacos, but I've heard the other items are delicious as well. You get one free potato per person and I highly recommend grabbing one. Once you grab your potato, you'll head over to the cashier while you'll pay for your items. If you want any drinks, you can order it as well. Once you're finished paying, they have a salsa bar with onions and cilantro and limes. My usual is their Al pastor tacos! It's a tried and true method for me. Note that there isn't any seating, most people stand up and eat or head back to their car and eat on their trunks or inside their car. There's trash cans all around and I believe there are some porta potties. It's a great spot to hit up if you're hungry and need some tacos in your life. Make sure you clean up after yourself. This is a great spot!

These were truly the epitome of street tacos and absolutely nothing about the vibe, the service, and the FOOD, disappointed. Immediately upon arrival, I noticed the long line of people and said to myself, either this place is really good or really slow. It took me longer to decide what I wanted to try than what it took for the line to move and for it to be my turn to order. So yea, these folks are FAST and very courteous as well. They have real Al Pastor on the trompo (the spit) so of course I ordered pastor tacos and a pastor mulita. I also ordered a few SUADERO tacos which you don't find just anywhere. I am still raving about the amount of meat and flavor of the food here, it's insanely delicious. Once you get your food you make your way down to the end of the taco stand where you are met with an amazing array of fresh taco fixings and salsas. The pink creamy-habanero was the best and the green/red salsas followed right behind. I can't wait to go back to this place. It's mind blowing how a stand on the side of the road puts out better quality food than a brick/mortar taco shop..but these guys know exactly what they are doing and it was a pleasure to try their food. 20 out of 10 for this place.

I do like how they grill their meat though and they use the tortillas to scoop up the meat on the grill. Thought the al pastor was a bit salty and the cheese did not add much flavor to it, but that's probably a good thing considering the saltiness of the meat. Also, make sure you ask them for pineapples since they did not include it until we asked. They do have them sliced up in a container by the meats. Ambience is very casual and it's a stand while eating type of situation. Service was quick.

The beans were flavorful, the cheese was just right, and the whole thing had that simple, comforting deliciousness that makes a great bean and cheese burrito so special. Being from Yuma, Arizona, it immediately reminded me of the bean and cheese burritos from Chile Pepper and Mr. G's, which is about as high a compliment as I can give. I also tried the shredded beef folded tacos. They were good and I enjoyed them, but they didn't quite reach that extra-special level for me. I'm still searching for a folded shredded beef taco that can match or beat Tito's Tacos, and while Al & Bea's makes a solid one, Tito's still holds the crown in that category for me. The red salsa was excellent and went great with everything I ordered. It added just the right amount of flavor and made an already very good meal even better. Al & Bea's is the kind of place that does simple, comforting Mexican food really well, and that bean and cheese burrito alone is absolutely worth coming back for.

The food cart specializes in blue corn quesadillas. The food cart has been around for 20 years and is now run by Alejandra's daughter. [Parking]: Metered street parking is available or just park at LADOT Lot 643. [Atmosphere]: Takeout only and our party ended up eating the quesadilla in my car. [Ordering]: One of the ladies took my order and another lady did the grilling. Once the quesadillas are ready, customers can add various condiments like cactus, mild salsa, red salsa, and cilantro. The cart is quite popular and our party had to wait approximately 15 minutes on Sunday at 6:15 PM. All quesadillas are cooked to order and the lady manually pressed every blue corn tortilla by hand. [Menu]: The cart offers chicken, pork, chorizo, squash blossoms (flor de calabaza), chicharrón, potato, and huitlacoche (corn smut, or the "Mexican truffle"). Customers can mix and match fillings like chorizo and potato. *** Squash Blossom Quesadilla ($8): The order came with an extra piece of skirt steak. I was a big fan of the mild green salsa and it definitely enhanced the overall flavor. *** It was an unexpected street food find and I can actually see myself revisiting this food cart and try different quesadilla options whenever I am in the Echo Park area.
