Parking can be a hassle since it in a shopping plaza with a market and beauty school. The place is right on corner so inside is bright and airy, it's old decor but keeps clean. If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. When my family and I walked in, no one greeted us. One of the staff members dropped the menus on our table without even placing them properly and had an obvious attitude, like she didn't want to be there. We ordered three noodle dishes (one special and two mì vịt tiềm). For those who don't know, these dishes usually come with a side of pickled papaya. I was really disappointed when the vegetables came out it was mostly bean sprouts with only about six small pieces of pickled papaya, which wasn't even enough for two bowls of mì vịt tiềm. When I went to the cashier to politely ask for more pickled vegetables, another staff member told me it would be $3. I was honestly shocked. I've never been charged extra for additional pickled veggies at other places. For $3, you could easily buy a couple of papayas and make it yourself. On top of that, we weren't informed that there's a charge for tap water. Transparency matters. I really hope management reevaluates their pricing and customer service approach, because experiences like this drive customers away. read more

Mi Vit Tiem is solid, the braised duck is quite tasty. Broth wise, I prefer the darker version cooked with traditional herbal medicine (thuoc Bac). They are generous with the pickled vegetables which is much appreciated. The vibe here is like a restaurant you would find in Vietnam. This is such a hidden gem! It definitely feels authentic with the atmosphere (aka service... is nice but quiet - typical of places that don't speak too much English) and the actual star dish. The owners are so nice and are very helpful if you don't speak! The dry egg noodles here are so flavorful, my favorite being the OG combination. I love that the seafood is clean and perfectly cooked, never rubbery. My husband loves the crunchy pork cracklings on top but my favorite topping, although I love everything in the combination bowl, is the fish cake with the roe inside. You can ask for more sprouts if you're like me and love the fresh crunch of lightly blanches mung bean sprouts! We ordered the house special dry noodle and the noodles were extremely salty and I had to mix it with hot water to get all the sauce out. Our food gets here and I open the bag that it's in and two flys pop out and fly away. Very off putting but whatever, i thought that the food was most likely not contaminated. That was until I opened a box with food inside and there were THREE flys INSIDE of the box. I don't think this has ever happened to me when ordering food. There are two locations but I prefer this #2 location MUCH better because of the nicer service/employees and easier parking access to the store. When I get to the restaurant the food is always ready no wait and accurate order-shout out to the employees here that repeat my order over the phone as I place to it ensure accuracy. The items on the menu I always order that have never gone wrong are: Mi Dac Biet Kho (house special yellow noodles dry) and Mi Hoanh Thanh Xa Xiu (soup yellow noodles with wontons and sliced pork) it's not technically on the menu I customized it which is always great about this restaurant. It also comes with a side of yummy broth to switch up the textures a little bit. you've got your veggies, your carbs, your surf and turf and your soup. What's to complain about? Dining in, the restaurant is roomy and spacious, lots of seating. its definitely a mom and pop shop (which I love) but don't expect a 5 star dining experience here. its not bad, but its not super great, but the noodles are worth it. I used to eat here all the time but more recently I've been a homebody so I've been ordering take out. Interior is nice, clean and spacious perfect for those wanting a good hangout dining environment than the typical noodle shops (eat and go kind of idea). The seasoning of the noodles is pretty good, but a bit salty and sweet side. If you eat with the side fresh veggies (although quality may need to be reviewed), it helps a lot. The short rib broth given on the side is excellent. My friends think it's leaning towards sweet side, but I liked it as it is natural broth flavor. The condiments and side veggies are very helpful as you season the dish on how you wanted it. I didn't season much except with Sriracha sauce, which was ok. One thing I wished was more option of acid condiment like fresh lime or lemon or chili vinegar on the side, but again I was told this is the Vietnamese/Cambodian/Chinese style.
