The Mystic Market catering menu is outstanding. We went to the Foxwoods location and ordered chicken parm and beef lasagna for our Christmas buffet along with turkey and green beans. Our family and friends raved over everything. The chicken parm and the lasagna were big crowd pleasers. The roasted turkey was both moist and flavorful. And the pistachio ricotta cake was incredible- delicious and elegant! The manager at the Foxwoods location is always pleasant and helpful. Came here looking for a birthday cake for my mom. Didn't know how hard it was to find a cake around this area. We drove to Dunkin but found out it closed and has now become an Enterprise car rental place. Driving down the road some more and stumbled onto this market. The place was pretty clean and there looks to be a lot of selection of baked goods and hot food. The reason for my 3 star review is from the service. I asked what was inside the cake and the lady behind the counter seemed offended that I would ask such a thing. With a bit of attitude she says the white is vanilla and the other is chocolate. I said ok, ill take the vanilla and asked if they had candles. She tells me they don't carry candles and then her co worker walks by and hands her a box and stated it's going to be $1. She has the baker in the back write happy birthday which was great. When it's time to ring me up she tells me to go to the front counter but then realizes the candles were left in the back counter and tells a co worker to grab it for her. Meanwhile she also couldn't figure out the size of the box to use for the cake. I don't think it's a reason not to come here, just that maybe they should work on how they treat customers and work on being more organized. Btw, the cake was actually really good. read more

They have lots of yummy options: sandwiches, muffins, bagels, pies, breads, sauces, jams, cookies, cakes, brownies, cheeses, salads, drinks, nuts, snacks, specialty crackers, etc. It's a fun and cute and cozy place to browse around for items to fill your belly, along with some cute little gifts as well. You'll find some unique items like sesame honey brittle and buffalo chicken pretzels pieces. Everything we tried here was delicious and we can't wait to head back. I am rating only Mystic Market West on Noank Road. There are two Mystic Markets, one on the east side of Mystic heading towards Masons Island and the other on the west side of Mystic heading toward Noank. We live nearby so we go to both often. Their food is above the average price but worth it. We have never walked away dissatisfied. I'm hooked on their potato salad ($6.99 a pound) which they only offer during summer. It's some of the best I've had. They also have a delicious Thai calamari salad ($13.99 a pound) and delicious desserts. There are many delicious varieties of foods including hot or cold sandwiches and grinders plus soup. Both places also have a small grocery store section where you can get wonderful imported foods. There are only two tables at Mystic Market West so prepare to get your order to GO. Take-out is easily available. Avoid Mystic Market East at all costs. The staff are highly rude, appear to be miserable working there, and avoid eye contact with you at all costs. They just totally ignore you. Parking is very limited so be prepared for that. We would recommend Mystic Market West but not Mystic Market East. read more

Frustrating waiting an hour for my order when they hadn't even put my name in. I could have bought it from the cooler. I really really don't like waiting inside with people taking their masks off to itch their noses, to ask the manager who's a friend if they can skip the line, or as the manager did, just to talk. I didn't feel safe in there at all yet couldn't wait outside for my order to be called. Im glad they've got so much business amd I think their food is great. I love this little place! I first came in here because they were the only Place near southeastern CT that could do a cold chicken breast sandwich, I didn't know that outside of California, that wasn't really a thing! So I was elated to find this place. They make their own bread, their own basil mayo and a few other sauces. They have a large array of meats, spreads, breads, and produce for their grinders. I love their chicken breast grinder and their prosciutto and mozzarella was life changing. They have a ton of take home and bake options of deli sides that change daily and always look so appetizing and delicious (I'll update when I try one)! I've had many of their desserts too: chocolate chip cookies are great favorite, their chocolate flourless torte is moist and decadent, the pistachio cream roll was lacking some flavor pallets but still good, and their tiramisu could have used a few more textures and less whipped topping, but it was still delicious. The staff is always nice, helpful, and attentive, I always leave a tip for the great team there! Their store front also has a bunch of different chips, sauces, etc that you would find at Whole Foods, which is really great because the closet one is about an hour away! My four star rating leads to the fact that I ordered a mozzarella, tomato, and spinach flatbread to go and the lady steamed it and put it in the panini maker and then wrapped it up and it basically melted in the wrapping and the whole panini was ruined due to the sogginess. Let me just say that I am extremely impressed with the customer service, quality of food, and speediness of service from the workers behind the counter. What a great stop on our way to Groton Long Point for the day. We wanted to pack a lunch and bring it to the beach with me. Everyone was so nice that worked here, the place was cute with a beachy/country store feel. In the back I ordered an iItalian grinder, a pint of sesame noodles and a few cookies for the road! The grinder had the making of something great. Its fresh and made with care, however a bit of salt and pepper or a burst of Italian dressing or vinegar is definitely lacking. The sesame noodles are a cold dish, and just didn't live up to others i have had. It was very one note. A good friend of mine loves this place, and so I stopped in for a sandwich while in the neighborhood. They have a beautiful variety of foodstuffs here, and the Hosmer Mountain Birch Beer was pretty great, but a daily special Gyro wrap sandwich was not. I would say its probably safer to stick to the standard sandwich offerings on the menu. Iceberg lettuce and a couple of slices of ground meat do not a Gyro make. read more

I'm really starting to think that the people of the Mystic community have zero tastebuds and I surmised this from a trip to Mystic Market having acted on advice from a few mystic friends!! Now my daughter and I were on the lookout for some of our favorite prepared meals! As we greedily picked out our treasures and brought them to the register we spotted the bakery items and added these to our treasure trove. Our host on the register was Jack who happily chatted us up regaling us with tales of how wonderful the food is and many people come here like 3 times weekly!!! This is one of my favorite lunch spots in Mystic. I frequent Mystic Market West the most, so my review focuses on this location. The staff is friendly and the service is fast, even during the lunch hour rush. They have an extensive list of sandwich options and fresh salads too. They have a full case of other take-out food (pasta salads, a la cart options, the special of the day) and another large bakery case with pastries, cookies and breads. In addition to take-out food, they offer specialty food items in their market area. Everything I've tried from here has been great! The prices are a bit higher than a generic sandwich shop, but I think the quality of the food is worth the cost. read more

I have been a customer at Mystic Market for many years. It has really gone down hill. The food is decent but sometimes bland and often overpriced. Sandwiches are there specialty. Same menu for years. The last three or four times I've been there, the service was just plain terrible. "Chickens with heads cut off" pretty much describes the place. No real management or clear leadership. Frustrated customers everywhere. They do have a parking lot, so that makes a visit much easier than places in downtown Mystic. I wouldn't go out of my way for Mystic Market. read more

I had a Mediterranean wrap and some fruit salad from Mystic Market for dinner today, it was boxed catering for a Mystic Seaport event. Full disclosure: I just had an iced coffee but they let me charge my phone while I hung out at one of their tables (indoor and outdoor).
