Loved everything, and amazed by the authentic flavor and big portion! We definitely over ordered and two dishes would be enough to share between two people My favorite was the Wo Sun and pork liver stir fry. I didn't like the blueberry yam as it was overly sweet and puréed like a potato. All other dishes were amazing and flavorful Will definitely keep coming back! They gave free ice cream at the end of the meal too. Friendly staff

Myth is an upscale restaurant located in Richmond BC as their prices reflect. Ordered the cold jelly fish in black vinegar which was my favorite of all the dishes that were ordered. The wanton in chili oil were good but nothing that stood out. The Mapo Tofu with Angus beef was just ok. I found the beef to be very small pieces and very fatty as well. I am a big Mapo Tofu fan and did not really this this offering. I think Myth would be better enjoyed with a group as I was looking at the tables several of their dishes were large. The atmosphere was nice and borderline trendy. The service was slow and a couple of times I had to get service staffs attention. There are plenty of other options in the area and would try others before going back.

It's such a flavorful restaurant. Huge portions great for sharing. Some of the dishes are spicy, but it's in the Sichuan spicy style, so has great flavours and depth. The fried rice is enough for ten people I feel like. We had left over for days after. The stir fried pea tip is my favorite, so tender and so flavourful, simple and healthy. Huge portion of beef stirs as well, very spicy but tasty.

Terriff new Szechuan place! Fairly new, just opened in the Fall of 2024. We came up to Richmond from Seattle, for a shopping and eating trip. Assumed we would have Cantonese seafood, given being in Richmond, but we heard about this hot new Szechuan place, so went here instead. Arrived at 7:30, and snagged the last open 2 top. After that, the waiting line got fairly long, and out the door. We ordered the "boiled fish with pickeled cabbage" and the "pepper frog legs". For the fish we chose the live tilapia. The portion sizes were huge, meant for 4 people! The fish very fresh and melt in your mouth tender. They use the mix of red chilies, green chilies, green peppercorns, and red peppercorns. Tons of fish, lots of pickled cabbage, sliced lotus Roots, and even some wide yam noodles on the bottom. Very delicious. The broth also have a nice smoky flavor. The frog legs were super good too. They were cut up in tiny pieces, mixed with green chilies, red peppercorns, celery and wood ears.

Humongous portions and taste that delivers the spice. Upon entering the space was inviting and clean and was able to get seated quickly. We had probably the largest stir fry noodle I ever and thought big it also was flavorful. The beef in spicy broth was super tasty with right amount of numbing and heat. The pork belly cold dish was nice and cooling. Wish it was closer to me so I can go more often.

My favorite restaurant in Richmond always! The dish is bigger than expected, I know it is Spicey, but it is super delicious! Definitely worth to try this unique flavor. The vibe of this restaurant is morden and cozy. You can have cocktail as well.

We had the frog, the fried chicken, the bacon fried rice, the stinky tofu, the dan dan noodles, and the cabbage, and all of the dishes were very good and quite flavorful with the exception being the dan dan noodles which were a bit disappointing compared to others we've had in the past. The portions were also much larger than we expected so we had a lot of leftovers, but that's fine. We were quite happy with our experience.

Price/quality (4/4): This is one of the relatively few Chinese restaurants in the Metro Vancouver area which serve frog. While it's not unusual in Szechuan cuisine, many Szechuan restaurants don't have this. And thankfully it's done quite well at Myth, at a reasonable price. Service (1/1): Service was friendly and effective. Would I come here again: Yes

******Updated****** After my initial 1-star review over the "chicken" that was 90% bones (which I choked on and couldn't eat), I got my money back. I have added another star because I got a refund. Also, to be fair I only tried one dish and cannot assume their other dishes are as poor in quality as the deep fried chicken with red chili. I cannot recommend the chicken until they make some changes. It is a safety issue since chicken bones can splinter and cause lacerations to the esophagus as well as choking. I see a lot of people enjoy Myth Szechuan, so hopefully, my experience was the exception. The classic, spicy Szechuan flavors I love were all there, if only the meat was edible!

My first time in MYTH Szechuan Cuisine in Richmond, BC. This is a new restaurant opened in late 2024. If you like big portions of spicy food, this is the place to dine. Friendly service. Will be back to dine here again Note: check your receipt. They seems to add container price when you don't finish your food even though I for one always bring my own containers. Food connects us all.

Food is tasty. Environment is clean. Service is also very good. Can't really say anything negative. If I have to be picky, I would say the dessert is too sweet and overpowered.

Wow, this place is a GEM, I am so in love with the Rolls, I visited 2 days in a row, had to get…read moresome more rolls in before we leave BC, which was so sad! Hei Hei Rice Roll is legit good, totally recommend, even my daughter too, I thought of her ( since she LOVES rice roll and couldn't make it on this trip with me) while enjoying these roll but when I shared with her the photos and mention that we will go back here with her- she already visited. She said it was so good! Hei Hei Rice Roll is located at the Richmond Public Market, oh wow - this place is really popular, on the 2nd visit I was the first in line then the line wasn't so long but while waiting for our order, the line got super long. I was lucky I didn't wait long in line. Best to arrive early. I am not sure what the secret to the rice roll but Wow, it's so thin, silky, smooth texture with the toppings, so great together. The last 2 times we had rice roll with my daughter at Portland and Seattle- followed per Instagram reels- those did not even compare to these rolls. My first visit I got the combo which is the best deals, starts at $15.50 but depends on what you select for the selection for rice rolls and congee. I got the pork & preserved egg congee, shrimp, mushroom, pork rice roll. The 2nd visit I got the combo again, with liver & preserved egg congee, scallop and shrimp rice rolls, but I got my order wrong for the roll- they missed the shrimp. fyi-I found out that bean sprout, corn, toppings are free! Both combo came out to $17. super cheap! Cash only, they take USD but its the same dollar $ value. I wish they take credit cards, hehe. & the Verdict: Yummy, the congee hits the spot for comfort food, loved how it is cooked and they add peanuts too. Love the packet of sauce for the rice rolls, the umami-ness, so good. Best to eat it hot and fresh! Don't forget to ask for chili sauce, to add that extra spicy kick! For now, I am not sure I'll ever find a spot that is closest to Hei Hei for my congee and rice roll fix until I get to visit Richmond, BC again.

What we ordered: Limited Gigantic snow crab 3lb with salted egg yolk sauce - highly recommended by staff Seafood fried rice Baked large beach oyster with four unique flavors. Highlight was definitely snow crab! Salted egg yolk sauce was great as usual, crab meat was so tender and sweet! I am glad to follow staff's advice. Presentation was good, too. Rice cake was chewy, soft and paired with sauce so well and so addictive. Seafood fried rice was also great! Clam was so juicy and delicious! prawn was nicely firm and very good. Ingredients were outstanding. And Baked beach oyster was also great item. Oyster paired with each unique different flavor(Forgot to ask what kinds of each flavor..), Oyster itself was very large and creamy. Highly recommend this item, too. Overall, our revisit to Fishman was another great experience. Restaurant was packed, No doubt this restaurant is very popular for long time.

This is the place to come to have northern Chinese style seafood, especially fish. You choose from hotpot, soup, or steamed fish and get tons of fresh choices. You can choose for the hotpot the soup, weight of fish, veggies, spiciness level, and other adjustments. It is HUGE! We chose the nonspicy soup, with package of tofu skin, lotus root, seaweed knots. The fish is pretty good. Good flavour - though I have to admit I'm not one to try the spicy, but don't worry the soy no spicy flavour is still pretty flavourful. I got some rice to go with it and I definitely recommend something to go otherwise it's pretty soupy. The other dishes were reflective of a very high quality place. - cucumber salad was excellent. I loved the peanuts in there to contrast. - I LOVED the Morel mushroom and tofu. It was amazing. The morel... wow. So succulent. Brown sauce has great balance too. - I really liked the fried rice. It's spam I think and really hits the spot. Not salty, seems just light enough. The service was excellent too. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

What's appealing here is that their Instagram advertises daily specials so you can get some dishes for a great discount (like 40% off). We tried the braised combo (pork ear, pork intestines, fish cake), Taiwanese egg wrap, braised pork sauce rice with deep fried pork chop, and yam taro mochi balls. The braised combo is pretty solid - I didn't really like the funkiness to the intestines (I generally enjoyed it in barbecue settings) but the fish cake was fantastic. I also liked the texture of the pork ears. The Taiwanese egg wrap was a bit tasteless, so I wouldn't recommend. Braised pork sauce rice is the lu ruo fan which is a large portion with seaweed, bean sprouts, and soup on the side. Pork chop was flavorful and juicy but not crispy batter, which is okay. Yam taro mochi balls were sweet and chewy. I don't like taro but I loved this dessert! Service is okay. They give a water jug for self pour but the water jug was of questionable cleanliness. The specials were not discounted so we called it out and we weren't told that we had to put the order with a server, not the QR code, so it was a strange interaction. They ended up honoring the discount. Also, they shut down ordering 1 min before 10:30pm - guess they didn't want more money as we wanted to order 1 more dish and they preemptively told the kitchen to close. Sure it's fine no big deal, it was a lot of food.
