    Tagliere

One of my favorite spots! The Tagliere here is always incredible. All the staff are so nice, and I noticed the assistant manager came around to all the tables while I was there. All the food I ordered came out so fresh! The restaurant itself is beautiful. This place is such a hidden gem.

Just had an amazing time at N10 Jadore brunch! I honestly had no ideas what to expect, but the service alone was amazing! Everyone was so sweet and before I could even ask they were right there doting on me and sometimes even reading my mind. I took the time to learn everyone's names, the entire staff was just so on point, Elizabeth, Milo, Ace, Greg, I can't remember the rest. The food and drinks were delicious too. For drinks I had the Espresso Martini and the Fake Pasta which actually wasn't spicy and more on the refreshing basil cucumber side. For food I had the burger and fries and then later on because we ended up staying for the afternoon party, we had the Diavola and Burrata pizzas and then I had Tirimasu for dessert. My friend did say she expected more from her omelette. I didn't try it myself, but I did try some of her arugula and that was flavorful and seasoned well. All in all everything I ate and drank was delicious. I haven't been out to brunch in a while and it was such a fab time with my girls. A MUCH needed time indeed. Thank you N10!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a nice upscale Italian restaurant with a decent sized dining room that's able to accommodate large groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I came here for dinner with a group of at least 14, and we were seated at two long side-by-side tables. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The rest of the dining room was empty for almost the entire time we were there![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The wait staff was friendly and attentive throughout our dinner. I think there may have been a small language barrier while taking orders. As we waited for our food, the brought out baskets of bread and butter. I ordered the arancini as a starter, which was really good, and the saffron risotto with chicken added for my main course. The risotto was nothing special and the chicken in it was a bit bland. I was happy to try out a new restaurant, but for the price, I wasn't too wow'd by the meal I had.

The manager. She does not think certain people should be able to eat within 2 hours at a restaurant

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The venue is beautiful![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The chairs are uncomfortable BUT the aesthetic is here![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This place deserves no stars because after arriving at 2:00 at 4:20 I did not have my food! I spoke with the manager and was told that bc my order was placed less than 45 minutes ago she could not do anything for me. (The waitress came back to the table 45 minutes after we placed our order and asked if we needed anything as if we hadn't placed at order for 4 drinks and 3 entrees.) The general manager, as pictured, completely disregarded me and called us "difficult." We came to a restaurant but because we wanted food within 2 hours of ordering we were labeled as "difficult." A mistake was made and instead of helping to elevate our experience she made herself to be the victim. If you have self respect and average standards, I would avoid this place at all costs. Service was egregious.

I selected N10 for their J'Adore Brunch to celebrate a friend's birthday, expecting a refined and elevated experience consistent with the restaurant's branding and presentation. Unfortunately, what should have been a special occasion was overshadowed by a series of questionable policies, poor service, and disappointing management. From the start, the tone felt off. Upon arrival, we were required to pay the $20 valet fee in advance, which was unusual. Once seated, before our order could even be taken, our server advised that she needed both my driver's license and physical credit card. I explained that I had already secured the reservation with a card via OpenTable, but was told they needed to verify it was a "good card." While card verification is one thing, what was completely unacceptable was that the restaurant then kept possession of both my driver's license and credit card for the duration of the meal. In a time where identity theft and privacy concerns are very real, there is no reason a restaurant should retain a guest's identification and payment card throughout service. It immediately made the experience feel invasive and uncomfortable rather than upscale. The service issues continued. My friend asked for jelly for her toast and we were told there would be an additional $3 charge. What arrived was an extremely small portion that was barely enough for one serving. It was not about the $3. It was about how unnecessarily transactional and inhospitable the experience felt over something so basic. I asked to speak with the general manager, Elizabeth, and that interaction only made matters worse. After a long wait, she approached our table without introducing herself, spoke over me as I explained my concerns, and came across as dismissive and confrontational rather than polished and solution-oriented. There was no sense of professionalism or guest recovery. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Another thing that felt entirely misaligned with the restaurant's image was the visible security presence. There was a guard at the entrance in what appeared to be tactical-style gear, which felt excessive for an upscale brunch setting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At one point, he was later seen walking through the restaurant with a plate of food and eating near the entrance while guests were arriving, which only reinforced the lack of professionalism. When the bill arrived, I was also surprised to see an automatic 20% gratuity added for a party of two. If that is house policy, it should be made very clear upfront. Lastly, although I had noted in the reservation that we were celebrating my friend's birthday, nothing was done to acknowledge it until she asked. Only then were we eventually brought a slice of pie and a glass of champagne, which by that point felt more like an afterthought than hospitality. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The DJ and music created a nice first impression, but that was not enough to save the overall experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] N10 appears more focused on enforcing questionable policies and creating an atmosphere of control than on actually providing hospitality. For a restaurant that markets itself as upscale, the experience felt anything but elevated. The food was average, the service was poor, management was dismissive, and the overall experience was disappointing enough that I would never return.

I have been coming here pretty often, and to be honest, I have never had a bad experience. I came on Wednesday. Maybe it was less busy, so the service was better? I'm not sure. However, the food is always good for me! I enjoyed all their dishes, from appetizers to dessert. Please try their amatriciana, friturra, fiori, and cannolo! Also, their pizza never fails. It's thin and perfect! Their tomato sauce is just that good! I'm always happy with my friturra and amatriciana! The one thing I don't really enjoy is their carbonara. It's just too salty, and it's okay, but it doesn't blow me away. So yeah, try their amatriciana instead. Elizabeth and Gregory are always lovely. They remember me and what I like, so that's a plus. Parking is self-parking, and don't forget to validate! [[HIGHLIGHT]]About ambiance? The restaurant was pretty slow, and it's pretty cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wouldn't sit outside since it was freezing, but they have a heater too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I just wish to have a picture with Alessandro Del Piero, maybe one day! Haha.

Valentine's Day should feel like a love story. Not a 3 hour lesson in patience. What was supposed to be a magical, romantic evening turned into a disappointing Valentine's Day dinner we won't soon forget, for all the wrong reasons. We made 8:30PM reservations and were genuinely excited about the $130 per person prix fixe menu featuring 4 mystery courses. The concept sounded fun & elevated, a little culinary adventure. 25 minutes passed before we were seated. While standing at the bar, we noticed something concerning. Several nearby tables had no food and no drinks in front of them. Just empty glasses and couples trying to stay upbeat. It felt off. A small red flag, but I told myself not to overthink it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were eventually led to our table, which had a dirty tablecloth. Not a huge stain, but noticeable. I brushed it off.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Then we sat for another 25 minutes with no greeting, no water, not even a simple Happy Valentine's Day.The couple to our right, who also had an 8:30PM reservation, leaned over and quietly warned us that we would probably be waiting a long time. They mentioned they still had not received their welcome drink. Not exactly reassuring. We eventually flagged down a visibly overwhelmed server. He mentioned the kitchen was very behind. We asked if we could at least order drinks and maybe get some water. He said he would bring it right over.10 minutes later, still nothing. No water. No drinks. No bread. No acknowledgment. It was now 9:30PM. In a moment that perfectly captured the night, the table next to us actually poured water from their own pitcher into our glasses because we still had not received any. We all laughed in disbelief. We trauma bonded over being hungry, thirsty, and ignored on Valentine's Day. When the server returned, the neighboring table told him it was disrespectful that we had not even been offered water. He quickly dropped off a pitcher, complete with mystery floaties in it, and rushed away again. Still no question about drinks. Still no food order taken. After nearly 45 minutes of sitting in his section, we were finally able to place our order. Meanwhile, 2 couples who had been seated after us in a different section were already on their third course. We did eventually receive our welcome cocktails, but only after asking again. Our 1st course arrived. The server pointed to the scampi and said, "This is clams," then pointed to the beef and said, "and this is beef." It was definitely not clams. The scampi was fine but chewy and could have used more time marinating. The beef carpaccio, however, was delicious. Our dirty dishes lingered on the table far too long. The surrounding tables continued venting to us about the slow service. Everyone was still hungry. Everyone was checking the time We got our 2nd course. The gnocchi was excellent. Rich, fragrant with truffle. Easily the standout of the night. The cappelletti consisted of five ravioli, and mine unfortunately contained meat gristle. I had to spit it out. It was room temperature and felt like it had been sitting for a while before being served. More waiting. More empty glasses. More dirty dishes sitting longer than they should. At this point, we seriously discussed cutting our losses and grabbing a burger somewhere else. The table to our right eventually gave up, packed their things, and wished us good luck as they left. The table to our left joked that they would probably be getting chicken nuggets afterward. That pretty much summed up the energy in the room. My partner finally walked up to the bar himself to get a drink since our server was nowhere to be found. The bartender, to his credit, was efficient and kind. He later came to our table, apologized sincerely, and comped two margaritas. When our server eventually checked in I told him we were disappointed, still hungry, and frustrated with how slow the service had been. He offered a complimentary cocktail. We did not want more alcohol. We wanted food and to salvage what was left of our evening. The manager eventually stopped by. I explained that we had been there for 2.5 hours, most of which was spent waiting hungry. I mentioned that both neighboring tables had warned us about the delays and that we had watched multiple couples come and go while we remained stuck. She said the table next to us were regulars and should not have talked to us. She added that the other table should not have bothered us either. She blamed the slow service entirely on our server and explained that they had never done a special event like this before and were overwhelmed serving 200 tables. She also commented that one of the neighboring guests was drunk and celebrating a birthday. Why are you speaking about other customers that way, and what does that have to do with our 3 hour wait? She did not appear drunk at all. And even if she were, it was her birthday. Who cares? Valentine's Day should feel magical. This felt chaotic, disorganized, and profoundly disappointing. We will not be coming back.

Authentic, classy Italian food with chic decor and friendly service. We ordered the Calamari to start and it was delicious. We had the shredded beef pasta and pizza and both tasted fresh, flavorful and delectable.

My wife brought me here to dinner for a work related event for her. The restaurant is located in Beverly Hills, a good 45 minute drive from me. We ended up parking in a nearby parking garage. The restaurant is very upscale, serving a variety of expensive Italian dishes. The wait staff were super nice and courteous, being an upscale restaurant. For starters we shared some calamari, a caesar salad, bruschetta, and arancini. The calamari was cooked perfectly. The caesar salad was fairly standard as was the bruschetta. The arancini fried rice balls was unique, and the sauce was nice. For entrees I got a filet mignon, which came with some olive oil and mashed potatoes. The filet mignon was seasoned well, but just slightly tough for me. The mashed potatoes were solid. Dessert was a tiramisu which was quite tasty, but not too sweet. I got a decaf coffee with the tiramisu. Perfect end to the menu. For fine dining and the cost, everything was solid without particularly standing out. Just an overall solid dining experience and cuisine.

Ambiance: it's a chic Italian restaurant located in BH area, the holiday decorations and sofa setups revel cozy vibes, although the outdoor seating patio weren't equipped with enough heaters. The restroom is very clean and well decorated. Service: friendly and welcoming, refilled water and served food promptly Food & Drink: their pre-fixed holiday menu, with very limited choices, wasn't as good as their regular menu Sicilian Arancini (vegetarian) - ** breaded rice balls, mozzarella, tomato sauce dip, I liked the crispy texture outside although the insight filings weren't good Fritto Misto - *** lightly fried calamari and zucchini, crispy and tasty with dipping sauce, although the lemon wasn't fresh Tagliatelle al Ragù - **** homemade tagliatelle, braised beef in San Marzano tomato sauce, chewy noodles and tasty beef, recommend Menabrea (amber) - **** bottled beer, easy to drink, recommend Price: moderate portions and reasonable prices, expect about $35+ per person

Maccheroni Republic - Life is full of pasta-bilities!…read more So if you know anything about me, you know that I love pasta more than just about anything. While I can only officially claim about 12% Italian heritage, I'm 100% down for Italian food, especially homemade pasta, any day of the week. I'm spending this week in Little Tokyo for a conference, and while Japanese food is also absolutely my jam, when Maccheroni Republic slid into my Yelp feed, I knew that I had to hoof it over there immediately after we broke for the day. I saw the front of the building, and my heart sank because it looked closed, but then I noted the sign that indicated that the entrance is on the right side of the building through the courtyard. Thank goodness! I strutted through the courtyard, and observed about 15 people waiting for tables. Unbothered, I went up to the host stand and chatted with the stylish maitre'd - Dino - who indicated that he could have a table for me in 7-10 minutes. I proceeded to wait and I watched how he deftly sat the other waiting parties in order without difficulty or notes. To the untrained eye, it might have looked a little chaotic, but Dino absolutely knew what he was doing. About 15 minutes later, Dino sat me at a corner deuce in the inside dining room where I had a nice view of everything. Angel efficiently took my order and did a very good job of overseeing my table as well as about nine others. The dining room is so cute and homey, and the patio is a welcome respite from the bustle and business of downtown. Since I was "da sola" or on my own, I just tried the shrimp cakes and I ordered the Rigatoni all Norma which is one of of my go to pasta dishes since I don't eat much meat. Incidentally, this dish is named after Norma, the famous 19th-century opera composed by Catanese native Vincenzo Bellini. According to legend, a famous Sicilian playwright, Nino Martoglio, tried the pasta and was so overwhelmed by its perfection that he exclaimed, "Chista è 'na vera Norma!" ("This is a true Norma!"), comparing the culinary masterpiece to the musical one. So says Wikipedia anyway. The shrimp cakes were delivered quickly by a sweet food runner who kindly checked on me periodically during my dinner. The four shrimp cakes were accompanied by sauteed onions which paired really nicely with the crispy cakes that were brightened with a spritz from the fresh lemon wedge. She also brought a basket with four slices of Italian bread which I enjoyed with the EVOO and Balsamic that were on the table. My Watermelon Ciao was also so good. It was sweetly tart and such a nice treat on a Monday! Not long after I polished off the shrimp cakes, the rigatoni was delivered and dusted with a generous layer of parmigiana. The little fresh mozzarella pearls glistened on the top of the pasta and slowly melted and oozed into the sauce as I stirred it up. Yum! The rigatoni were al dente and delicious, and they were perfectly sauced. Of course, the eggplant was perfectly cooked as well, I only wish there had been a few more pieces of it - although by the time I ate the last noodle, I was so full! Alas, I had no room for dessert, but I intend to bring some of my conference colleagues back for a meal before the end of the week because it was THAT GOOD. I also loved that this place is NOT pretentious at all. There were all sorts of folks enjoying their food here from medical professionals in scrubs to college kids in shorts and t-shirts, and I was also very casually attired, but I was treated well and welcomed with graciousness and delicious food! Mille grazie Maccheroni Republic, Dino, Angel and everyone at this wonderfully lowkey yet fabulous trattoria.

The menu is inviting with plenty of great options without being overwhelming. Less is more. But let's talk art (culinary, that is). The dishes certainly deserve main features. To start "the best Caesar salad in LA" and I quote which was certainly true. Grilled octopus charred on the inside and juicy at the center. Spicy pomodoro is perfectly al dente and a well-balanced sauce. But, my favorite-- the agnolotti! Wow, melt in your mouth! The flavor profiles of corn, crème fraiche, and old bay were delicious. My only wish -- larger serving of this (smallest pasta serving on the menu). To complete it, banana pudding tiramisu -- delicious too with a firm center and oozy outside. Atala was wonderful and very sweet. Recommendation: come with a group of at least 4 to try more on the menu -- the large plates (branzino and ribeye) looked excellent! Definitely a worthwhile visit.

The prosciutto and arugula salad was without equal. The Cavatelli alla Norcina was so good I thought I died and went to heaven. We ordered one of each dessert and they were all good. California offered an immediate rush of light, space, and possibility. My memory is that when I turned my phone back on at LAX, my friend messaged to say he'd gotten us the hookup at Bestia. That dinner belongs to a chapter in which I spent considerable time in California and felt energized by the contrast with New York. My friend is highly discerning, with impeccable taste in food, design, and culture. He notices details most people miss, so when a place impresses him, I pay attention. From the moment I saw his message, I knew the reservation meant something. Even before we entered, Bestia's character was evident. Faded lettering crossed the corrugated metal facade, while brick walls and old loading doors preserved the warehouse's industrial history. Inside, enormous windows and garage doors brought light into a room shaped by glass, exposed ductwork, and warm amber pendants. When I fantasize about living in a loft, many of the attributes I picture are here, especially the incredible windows and connection to the street. Inside the restaurant, the dining room achieved a combination I rarely encounter. It had the table density and collective buzz of a great New York restaurant, but within a large, design-forward space closer in scale to something found in Chicago. New York creates energy through tight rooms, while Chicago excels at ambitious spaces with strong architectural identities. Bestia captured both advantages and made its considerable footprint feel alive and unified. We sat shoulder to shoulder at a pale stone counter facing the open kitchen. Golden era hip hop was playing, and A Tribe Called Quest still rings a very specific bell. I ordered the squid ink pasta, and it was exquisite, with enough depth and precision to command attention amid everything happening around us. We also spotted an unmistakably A-list celebrity, whom I will leave unnamed, making the night feel quintessentially Los Angeles. During that period, I often stayed at the Ace Hotel downtown, and the Arts District felt vibrant, raw, and full of possibility. The proximity to Skid Row could be deeply jarring, with severe hardship existing beside ambitious development and expensive restaurants. That contrast kept the neighborhood from feeling like a neat story of urban renewal, even as Bestia seemed to anchor its evolution. The warehouses and loading docks gave the area a character that no new development could convincingly recreate. Nearby, I also remember the American Apparel complex during its demise and the rise of impossibly cool Los Angeles designer John Elliott. His Escobar sweatpants and Villain hoodie helped define the kit of that moment; loyalists will understand. Los Angeles is a fickle city, drawn toward whatever is new and shiny, which makes Bestia's longevity especially impressive. Scene without substance is plastic, and Bestia earned its electricity through exceptional cooking, assured service, and a remarkable space; if I lived in Los Angeles, this would be one of the places I'd rely on whenever I wanted to impress someone. This is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in the world.

Loved that it had some classic dishes and some fusion ones as well. Came on a Friday night and joined the waitlist but only had to wait about 10 minutes! There was complimentary bread and a side salad that came with the entrees, and the bread was warm and delicious... We ordered the two Allegro specials on the menu-- Uni pasta and Bolognese. For appetizers we went with the server's recommendation; chicken gizzard confit. Chicken gizzard confit was mind blowing. As someone who enjoys things like gizzard, these were cooked in a way I had never had before and it was delicious. The uni pasta was sooo rich, creamy, and flavorful. 10/10 I would recommend it. The bolognese was good too it was super complex compared to the ordinary bolognese and had eggplants as well. Overall, the ambience was great and experience was amazing. Service was also very good and attentive. Super great spot for a date night or just a casual dinner with friends!

Once step inside, the decoration, the vibe totally changed. It's a dark hue with humbling yet elegant setting with a bar table and I almost felt like a dining in the cave ambiance. The menu was not complicated and only focused on pasta, but there are so many choices to my liking! The squid ink, the mentai cream, the uni sauce, and the garlic butter sauce. We ended up settling with Creamy Crab Gratin, mentai cream pasta, the Pescatore Bianca (seafood spaghetti), and Tarako Spaghetti (Cod roe and squid garlic butter sauce). -Crab Gratin is really creamy and cheesy. I just didn't quite get why there are a few pieces of penne pasta inside. But overall tasted good! -All pasta comes with bread and salad. The salad is really fresh and serve mostly lettuce and cherry tomato, which is how I like it. The dressing is not the ranch creamy kind, more cloudy vinaigrette based, also to my liking. -Seafood spaghetti came with a variety of seafood, shrimp, squid ring, mussels, clams, etc. The portion is huge. -Mentai cream pasta: delicious! I think if I order uni pasta, it'll be the same cream base sauce but with uni and $6 bucks more. I'm happy with my choice. The whole dish is consistent, creamy with a slight kick from the mentai, slices of mushrooms and shredded seaweeds on the top. Delish! -Tarako Spaghetti: I took a small bite and appreciated the strong taste of garlic butter in the sauce. -All 3 pasta are served with the thin spaghetti like angel hair. Service is ok, we asked for water refill and the response was polite. Dirty dishes were taken away timely. If I had more time, I would definitely come back for a second visit. A place like this deserves to be in a more upscale block on the street. Btw, parking inside the plaza is not free even though it's just a strip mall. Expect about $8 bucks for dinner parking. It's gated entrance. If you get lucky, you can park on the street and pay the meter.

I feel the seating was a little tight in certain areas put they did make clear walking paths. Traffic to get here was horrible but we got lucky and found a non-metered spot about a block away as soon as we arrived in the area. For apps, we ordered the garlic bread and meatballs. The garlic bread was different. It was a sourdough loaf with oozing garlic butter inside but was only toasted whole so overall ate very soft and I missed the typically toastiness I get with most garlic bread. The flavor was still very good, especially dipping it into the marinera that accompanied the meatballs. For entrees and sides, we ordered the lasagna, the eggplant tortellini, the chicken parmesan and the broccolini. I can only say they really like their parmesan here. I'm not the biggest fan so I brushed a lot of it off. The tortellini was the star of the show for me and I think it was partially because all the other dishes were marinera + parmesan so it gave a nice break in the flavor profile. Something to consider when ordering next time. The chicken parmesan was delicious. I found the lasagna to be okay and would pass on the broccolini next time (to be fair, I got rid of all the cheese so that probably change the flavor profile they were going for).

I know, crazy, right? But we did it! You'd think just having the Porterhouse would be enough -- apparently it wasn't because we started with bread. At our server's recommendation we chose the bruschetta. Wow, what a fantastic start! The crunchy charred bread topped with the creamy Burrata and house made apricot jam was beyond delicious! Then he asked for his favorite pasta from our last visit -- SPAGHETTI ALL'ARRABBIATA. We can never get tired of this one. The house made pasta coated in that spicy sauce is so satisfying. Then came the steak. Although our server warned us that it was huge, we were still surprised when it arrived. But then came the included sides of fried fingerling potatoes and Ruchetta salad -- to say 'generous portions' is an understatement. I literally laughed at the mountain of salad when it arrived. It was all just incredible. The Prime Porterhouse was at the correct temperature, seasoned well and melt in your mouth amazing. The fried potatoes were hot, crisp and tasty. The salad was so good that the husband ate it -- I couldn't believe it! I tapped out early and in order to leave room for dessert, I had to force the husband to stop. We chose the CROSTATA DI MARMELLATA because of the apricots. We were so happy to have dined while they're in season and incorporated into Mother Wolf's menu. We were then surprised with complimentary sorbet (NETTARINA) and gelato (VANIGLIA) for our birthdays. Beautifully presented, the sweetness of each dessert was perfectly balanced and a wonderful end to a fantastic dinner. And this goes without saying -- service was impeccable. Thanks to the Mother Wolf team for another great experience!
