This new tea place just opened in the Silver Creek Plaza! I absolutely love the decor and the cement/unfinished look on the walls. I have to say though, it is so hard to look at the menu and it doesn't seem there are smaller menus either for customers to look at. There are bars lined up the two sides of the place and a few couches/seats located in the middle and corners. I feel like the placement of the couch and bars on top of the line (especially if it is long), the place seems too crowded. Once the line forms, there is really no way to sit on seats lined up on one side of wall. I ended up trying the Assam Black Milk Tea. The Assam tea is either infused with nitro or brewed with nitro. I'm not exactly sure. The drink was okay. I did adjusted the sugar level to 75% since that what the cashier recommended. Honestly, I hated how the iced was blended/too small or maybe it was the nitro that made the drink like that? It was very bothersome because I really just wanted to taste the milk tea but I just kept tasting the ice or foam. It was not as strong as 7leaves' assam milk tea. I did get to try my friend's drink which is the Watermelon Freeze. From the one sip I got, it was really refreshing and you can definitely taste the Jasmine Tea. First few sips of the house milk tea (assam tea with brown sugar crema) and I could taste the light frothy creamy texture of the nitro infused tea & milk crema that sets this tea place apart from the rest. By reading through some reviews it looks like many prefer the fruit infused teas but I had to order my go-to black milk tea at 25% sugar. Unfortunately, I didn't taste anything but milk. I honestly thought they forgot to put tea in it. I probably would have made better milk tea at home /: My sister ordered the same but with boba and 80% sweet. She also noticed that had more milk than tea in it. She admired the frothy stuff (idk what it is, cheese?) But said this place isn't worth driving to. Unfortunately this place is forgettable. I was amazed how good it taste because I never realized that mango and matcha would go so good together. It must have been the initial shock of tasting something so different yet so good. They also have the strawberry matcha, but I prefer the mango matcha. I really like their house specials here: Jasmine cheese crema (4/5) nitro jasmine tea with cheese crema Black cheese creme (5/5) made with nitro Assam tea Personally, I like the cheese crema from here so I stick with their specialty. They also have classic milk teas here, which I believe are similar to the house specialties without the cheese crema. If you want to stay up to do that last minute studying, I suggest getting their N7 Coffees. It's not for the weak, it will have you staying up late in the night lol. They also have fruit teas such as Strawberry hussle (made with fresh strawberry), watermelon freeze (fresh watermelon) and so on. They have a variety of drinks from smoothies, nitro iced teas, fresh fruit teas, coffee and classic milk teas. Ordered the Grape Gatsby and wanted to see what this nitro tea was about. Delicious grape flavor, that wasn't artificial or sickenly sweet. Refreshing and good tea flavor. Did not notice too much of a difference except that the mouthfeel was a bit different, as Nitrogen tends to do that to foods when applied. Yakult Freeze and Acai Freeze are where it's at and was much better than anticipated! Everything I tried was good and liked that nothing was too sweet. Price point is typical. Pretty good tea shop with unique offerings. I had never heard of nitro tea before, and decided to give N7 a try since I was in the area. I came on a weekday afternoon and it was pretty empty inside. It took about 5 minutes from ordering to get my drink. I decided to go for the strawberry hussle with boba, and was genuinely impressed with the tea flavor and how strong the jasmine came through. Usually when I get fruit teas, I feel like the tea is generally muted and the fruit comes through more due to it being syrup or etc., but this had fresh strawberries blended in it and it was really well balanced with the tea. When I first came here and ordered the house milk tea with boba the sweetness level was 100% with regular ice, but it didn't taste super sweet, powdery, and everything mixed together was just perfect. The second time I ordered the same drink, but think time I ordered 75% sweetness and holy! It was so sweet that it gave me an instant headache. While I ordered the same drink my fiancé ordered the strawberry smoothie and says it's not the best he had. Something he wouldn't order again. The third time I came here I ordered the black crema to try something different and I wasn't a fan of their cheese. Tasted a bit off to my fiancé and I. The wait is less than 7 minutes for each time that I've come here. There's seating on the side and in the middle. The bathroom is located in the back, so shimmy down there if you gotta use the restroom. Friendly workers and parking can be a pain since it is in a busy plaza. Since I'm late to the game, don't mind me folks I'm just grieving for Cool Tea Bar going away as they had killer egg pudding and their large is like a damn XXL. But yes N7 is where Cool Tea Bar used to be, in a hustling and bustling plaza of Vietnamese restaurants, Happy Lemon, and in close proximity to a Kickin Crab, Target, Qpot, and TeaSociety. Being in such a crowded plaza, yes y'all parking will suck! Moving on, I have to admit N7 looks a lot better than the old Cool Tea Bar did and it doesn't smell like cleaner either, but stepping into it was like "sorry Dorothy looks like we ain't in SJ anymore, more like SF." Although the painted cameo walls in shades of gray make the place seem simple and elegant, it also made me think the owner wanted to revamp the place in the quickest, cheapest, most minimalist way possible alas welcome to cameo town! Based off on pics, it looks better and more illuminated in the day than at night. They have such a huge space that there's so much emptiness left on the walls, and a huge missed opportunity to have a large menu on one of those walls instead of tucked behind the counter to the side. Having read that the house milk tea was a popular drink, I ordered that along with an original mochi egg puff. Staff was efficient and nice, but not going out of their way to be welcoming or anything. House milk tea - 3/5 as it wasn't anything special. I love the N7 at the Mitsuwa Marketplace plaza. Naturally, I got pulled into N7 again after figuring out there's another location. I got two of their drinks from the fruit tea line - the strawberry and the orange. Both drinks exceeded my expectations - incredibly tasty with the right amount of sweetness and pulp. My only complaint (and it's a small one) is that the straws are too short. My straw barely sticks out of the cup when fully inserted into the drink. I understand there are a lot of orders to fulfill and it gets busy, but cleanliness should never be compromised. Please be more careful. I went to N7 during its soft opening, and went again several times since then. They've definitely changed their look a lot as they experimented with furniture. I'm glad those tree stumps are gone! Now, it has wooden accents and a rustic, industrial-type look with some fancy marble (exposed ceiling, cement texture, etc). For my first visit during soft opening, I got the nitro house milk tea creama drink. Really basic, but it sounded delicious. To my dismay, I' felt I've already had this drink before at another shop... After letting my friend taste it, he recognized it immediately because it's his favorite drink from a different shop. The black tea tastes EXACTLY like the Foxy Brown from Tisane/Pekoe. I wish I had known because I really wanted something new. However, since then, I've come back, and N7 has had these unique hits: My favorite drinks: - strawberry fresh tea - I've never had anything like this, so when I first tried it, it was sooo addicting. I was instantly in love! It is very strong is jasmine tea flavor, yet it was balanced with fresh strawberry bits and juice--great for summertime! It was great as a drink after a heavy meal as the word "refreshing" perfectly describes this drink. - watermelon fresh tea - In this drink, you can definitely tell they use fresh watermelon. While watermelon usually comes as watermelon "flavor," just as a real strawberry tastes different from strawberry candy, there is nothing artificial about this watermelon drink! It feels like they just cut and crushed a watermelon from the store. Just like the strawberry drink, this one is lighter and I'd say less sweet, but great for an after-meal refreshment or a drink during hot weather. - grape fresh tea - Can you tell I like their jasmine fresh tea series? I don't like grape "flavor" but this tastes like pure grape juice and fresh grapes. Not wine, not manufactured grape jelly or grape candy, but a bunch of grapes that you put through a juicer. And it's not sour, it's sweet! This was an interesting way to consume grapes and I love how it works so well with the jasmine tea. - matcha frappe - Move over, Starbucks! The matcha frappe here, unlike the aforementioned drinks, is pretty heavy. It can make me full on its own. It is perfectly creamy, not icy at all, and when it melts, it just becomes matcha milk tea. Although a bit on the sweet side, I treat it like a lone-standing desert. The service here fluctuates but I haven't had big problems. I have yet to try their coffees, but I've heard great things about them too! Gotta go back and try. read more
