The shop was pretty small with some counter seats at the front, and a couple of tables outside. I ordered their standard double NADC burger, and honestly it was a little underwhelming, it was pretty greasy and just not my favorite smash burger or burger in general. Get here early cause this place gets busy. Right after I ordered, I heard the chef tell the cashier to stop taking orders for a bit. I got there like 45 minutes after it opened, and they were already sold out of the French fries. Other than that, the burger was great. A little pricey, a bit. Finally got to check those place out! Just stopped in at around 12 sat at the bar. It's really small and I could see how it could get really busy but the day we went it wasn't. Heard about NADC from a friend and I just happened to be in the area and stumbled upon it. I was excited! The burgers were pretty darn good, definitely one of the top burgers I've had. And the fries? It's up there as well. If the prices weren't so steep, I think I would've ordered more for myself initially since I was starving. However, my review is mainly to point out the lack of ettiquette from the cashier. At the end of my order, I mentioned that I wanted 1 burger as plain and dry (no onions, no pickles aka no toppings). The cashier claimed that he couldn't do that because he already sent my order to the kitchen and I should've told him at the beginning. But why would he do that if I didn't even pay for the order yet? I clarified that I hadn't paid yet, and he huffed and just restarted my entire order. After receiving our order, I ate my meal first as my girlfriend was catching up with a friend. She bit into her burger after about 5 minutes and was caught off guard. She opened her burger and to her surprise, found pickles and onions. I waited in line and notified the cashier that our order was wrong. He just shrugged and apologized. I understand the restaurant was busy, especially during SXSW weekend, but I felt that he could've accomodated for the mistake? I ended up paying for the new burger for my girlfriend. Again, the food itself was delicious and I wish I had a better overall experience at the restaurant. Maybe I'll give it another try one day on a not so busy night. read more

Would have liked a bit more char to the smash of the burger but overall a super tasty patty, onions, pickles with a signature sauce - it all worked well together. I hate to be that girl but I think NADC was a little overhyped. YES it is really good, just a little overhyped. After seeing it on at least a dozen must try lists I thought it may be the best burger I've ever had and I can't confidently say that it was. It was also overpriced but everything in austin is nowadays. The meat is great quality. I strangely like that you can't make any modifications to your burger, you just get what you get.. makes it easy & fast! The ketchup has a unique flavor that I enjoyed. Service was really quick. This review will say what all the others seem to say. This is an excellent greasy smash burger, but seems to be a little expensive for what it is. The flavors are spot on and if you want a juicy burger - this is your place. I do really like lettuce and tomatoes on my burger, so I missed that. I also felt like it was pretty salty, but I didn't get a drink. I'd imagine if you were eating it with a beer, the saltiness would be perfect. I was really happy with the fries. They were crispy while still being thick. The restaurant is small and there is very little seating. It definitely lends itself better to ordering to go. The service was good. The employees seemed happy and chill. So overall, I'm glad I tried it and, if you live nearby, it's certainly worth a try. But I won't be a regular. read more

Burger is a 7...mid bun+fries and living off the wagyu patty...but can still hit the spot...however my issue is they are not dog friendly...they refused service for a bomb sniffing service dog: I'll clarify refusing service: walked in with my cute german short hair pointer...they asked I leave. I clarified, "oh I'm taking the food to go" and they doubled down that they "prefer" I don't. I clarified that she is a service dog, aka retired bomb sniffing dog. Yep, they tripled down on "preferring" not to. Prefferring from the food industry is the same as spitting on your food so its a no go. When I walked out, folks whom were sitting outside offered food for the doggo and apologized, that's how bad it was.
