This was the first restaurant we went to during my first trip to Hawaii and it definitely set the bar very high. I got a spicy been curry udon, with a fire ball on the side and lots of different tempuras. The noodle options are customizable and there is lots of different tempura to choose from such as mushroom, chicken, squid, crab, and shrimp. The chicken katsu and spam musubi were perfect and the curry from the noodles was so rich in flavor. As you walk inside, they are making fresh noodles right in front of you which is really cool to watch. The seating inside is nice and comfy. The soup is too bland for my taste. The gyoza was good though. I also might've had some kind of combo that came with chicken katsu but that's a loss from my memory... Great Japanese food. It was quick and tasty. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. I had mochiko chicken, fried rice and tako-yaki. It was all great and came out fairly quickly. The parking in this area is absolute hell, regardless what time of day. Hint. I had an early dentist appt one morning and was very hungry after but not a lot of places were open in the area. I thought "hmmm ramen for breakfast ok, I'm down with that!" I chose Nagoya Ramen restaurant to serve at my managers meeting today. I went on yesterday and placed my order for 3pm today. The large party orders are reasonably priced to the competitors. Goyza & Spring Roll party platter $22.99, Chicken F/ Noodle, Shrimp F Rice, Mochiko Chicken party platters $25.99, Spicy Chicken Wing Party Platter 29.99. They called me at 2pm to confirm my pick up time of 3. They didn't want to cook early so the food is hot. I arrive a little early so I'm waiting. I'm watching customers come in and Nagoya is known for their breads and pastries. The lady said that they make the bread fresh daily. They don't add any preservatives. Many folks call ahead and pick up in store. Pastries range in price from $2.25 & up. Favorites today... Charsiu Manapua, Custard Bun, Coconut Cream Bun, Ensemada, Pineapple Custard buns, Hot Dog bun & Snow Mountain Chocolate Bread. Bread by the loaf...Azuki, Coconut, Raisin or White Bread. When I resided in Hawaii (Oahu Island/1999-2018), one of my favorite places for good Japanese Ramen was Nagoya Ramen. They had franchise outlets in Honolulu, Waikiki, Mililani, Kapolei, and Kaneohe so I was never too far from my fav Ramen Shop. It's kind of funny because when they first opened their doors in 2013, we kept getting calls from people ordering food as though they thought we were the Ramen Store. It turns out that the Hawaiian Tel Phone Company accidentally double assigned our phone to Nagoya Ramen. Their Charsiu ramen is probably their most popular, but I really like their Mochiko Chicken and Chicken Katsu Ramen. In addition, they had ono kine Udon, curry and fried rice entrees, and Yakisoba (fried noodles). I also liked their Mabu Tofu Ramen but it was quite hot and spicy, so you had to be in the mood to eat da kine hot foods! What made their ramen dishes so good was the broth! It is made with chicken and pork bones and is totemo Oishii! (Very delicious/Japanese). If you are planning on visiting Hawaii anytime in the near future, I highly recommend patronizing one of the Nagoya Ramen Franchises on Oahu or any of the other islands should you want to visit them as well! read more

If my boyfriend and I are looking to indulge in curry, this is the place! We've had no issues with placing take out orders over the phone and almost no issues when picking up and paying for our orders. The one time I walk in by myself to pick up our order the young girl at the cash register just had such a big "I hate being here" attitude. No friendliness or welcoming attitude and we went straight to payment. She takes my card and slide hits it onto the counter aggressively (if that makes any sense and you can maybe somehow picture it). My card is already in some damaged shape with peeling so yes lets go and damage the card some more, right? Someone needs to give her a reality check and understand what "customer service" standards are. Service has and will be ok because I choose sit down and they usually do to go's but the last 3-4 times in the last few months I've gotten extremely sick and have gotten food poisoning multiple times. I was wondering how I kept getting sick but never thought it was Nagoya until my most recent visit when I came and sat down I ate a big meal because I didn't have Anything to eat earlier in the day my brother got sick almost immediately after eating the food had to go outside multiple times. This place definitely comes to mind whenever it's raining/storming in Mililani. Nothing like some warm soup/broth/curry to warm you up on a cold day/night. For sure others in Mililani have the same thought, because it's crowded every time we go there to order to go on rainy days! They have a lot of choices, and one of the best things about the menu is that there are pictures. Their to-go menu is colored with pictures, so it really helps you decide what to get and narrow down what you're really craving. I called them and they gave me a new one, BUT I found a roach leg and it's skin between the noodles. I was disgusted! The cashier and the woman in the back came and tried to tell me it wasn't a roach and that it was part of the sauce. The Boyfriend has been coming to Nagoya Ramen for the last year since it's conveniently located in Mililani near many businesses he utilizes. They are not open for dine-in at the moment, so we ordered to go. I love the fact that they package the ramen noodles and the soup separately. This is so important, especially when it may take a while to get to your destination. When the noodles and soup are combined, the noodles soak up the soup prematurely. I got a side order of the chicken katsu and a scoop of rice. The Boyfriend got a side order of mochiko chicken with his spicy ramen, which I ended up liking more than the katsu I ordered. As far as ramen goes, Nagoya Ramen is a Genki Ramen and Ramen Ya but there is more variety to their shio. Their variety is their strength, as they do offer pastries and have a few more flavors to their ramen than Genki or Ramen Ya. I have frequented them for their ramen and curry, but may revisit soon, as upon closing, I was given a pastry for free (they needed to get rid of it), and their raisin twist (or bun) was really good. I'll check to see if they have a curry bun next time. Gyoza is good stuff, and they do have a generous gyoza happy hour. Get there at 5 p.m. and you'll be all good. read more

The company I work with always caters through Nagoya and we haven't had any complaints or problems with them their pastries are always a go-to my personal favorite is the spam&cheese or the custard roll (snow cap or the other is good ) for the most part they're always friendly. I sat down and a lady gave me a menu, and dropped a glass of while I was looking through the menu. They have a bunch options to choose from, so I decided to a a combo meal. I ordered the mochiko chicken set with gyoza and fried rice. It also came with a small ramen which was really good. Gyoza was ok, but had a funky texture I'm not usually use too. First time ordering a meal here; I usually only buy their loaf of white bread ($3.50 loaf), which is great, baked fresh daily. This time we ordered their Nagoya Ramen ($9.75, incl. bean sprouts, egg, fish cake, char siu, & chicken katsu); and their Mochiko Chicken Curry combo ($11.50), which came with a mini ramen, mini mochiko chicken curry, and an order of gyoza. We got a free (4 piece) order of gyoza for ordering between 1:30pm and 5pm (none for the combo, since it comes with gyoza anyway). Both were good; I liked the sweetness of the curry (Japan style), gyoza was fine, the chicken katsu was crisp. The mini ramen came with (I believe) some kind of pork broth, which was okay. They didn't allow any substitutions in the combo, so I couldn't try either their shoyu or miso ramen. All in all, a good place for ramen and curry rice. In addition they have a mini bakery case upfront with pastries and bread. Their prices might be a little high (photos of their latest menu 4 mo ago in Yelp on page 211-213 is already outdated); but in comparisson to the prices at the ramen shops in the Shirokiya Japan Village Walk, (which I went two days ago), it's much less and more filling. We got the Tonkotsu Ramen, Chicken Katsu Curry Combo, and a side of Gyoza. The service was fairly good, we had to ask for our curry katsu after about twenty minutes after we got our Ramen and Gyoza. Very clean inside. Everything came out fresh so all in all I'd give this place 4 stars. I'd like to update that I changed my 4 star to 2 stars for the fact that I sat here for five minutes while three ladies talked story and clearly saw me waiting for her after they all looked at us a couple times. It's not authentic Japanese.(run by Chinese) so you won't get the authentic Japanese ramen that have their tonkotsu/shoyu ramen with the real chashu and soft centered egg. Its a great cheap place to sit down and eat with family. It's the cheapest place I've seen so far cheaper than daiichi, ramen bones, sumo ramen. Combos include a meat with rice/curry, mini ramen which feel likes a normal size and 5 piece gyoza! For the low price of less than $11 you get all 3 items. Service and food is fast.
