Don't trust the high rating here. Overall, a fast, unrelaxing and unsatisfactory pedicure. I came in at 9:20, left by 9:40. There was no massaging, moisturizing, or effective scrubbing. The nail tech was using a blunt set of cuticle cutters- there was a lot of tugging and pulling of skin. Like others have said before, there is no actual pedicure spa booth, just chairs with plastic bowls they carry over with lukewarm water. It is very alarming that they used a set of tools that were not autoclaved or in any sterilized packaging. The nail tech kept all of her tools in a box and put them all back in the same box with dirty files! I don't know how they passed inspection. Kind of a cesspool of germs IMO. read more

I have been coming to this salon for 3-4 years now and love them! The salon is clean and comfortable, service is always great, I always felt safe through the pandemic and Tiffany is always so easy communicate with when I need to move my appointments around. Yen does my almond shape acrylics flawlessly every few weeks and Mae has the golden touch on the shoulder massage! I came here for an acrylic fill and to fix a few broken nails from a previous salon. Kathy was very sweet and detailed, she ensured to ask me along the way if I was satisfied. There were many staff available and they charged no extra for card. My nail tech cleaned my cuticles and made sure to get any dirt out from under my nails as well. I haven't had that detail everywhere, but there was a little inconsistency with the shape of each nail. I paid $75 for a shellac French tip fill, with 4 broken nail fixes. Great nail spot if you're looking for a quick mani/pedi! Tammy did a killer job on my gel manicure. Everyone is very polite and helpful -- calling each customer by name. The only drawback is that they don't have the massage chairs. They do use foot tubs with disposable liners which is nice -- I appreciate the sanitary measures taken. read more

I had been looking for a good gel nail spa close to where I work in Century City two days before my friend's wedding and was part of her bridal party (talk about last minute nail-did's). Came in around 6:30pm, luckily they were still open till 8 on a Thursday! A lot of the ladies there were friendly and obliging, and had given me a seat a couple of minutes after I walked in. I don't recall the name of the girl who did my full set french tip gels, but she was so nice and did a good job! I wasn't fully impressed on how she shaped my nail as I asked for square and it came out a bit angled hence I gave them one less star. Also the other girl who did my french tip pedi really seemed to be in a hurry to get them done when there was no one else around. All in all, I can't complain as both mani/pedi has lasted over two and a half weeks and NO chips!!! After much usage of my hands for handiwork as I moved out last week, and of course common household chores and daily showers, I'm impressed that they've lasted this long!!! read more

Honest incompetence. If you want a plain manicure it's fine. If you want any nail art it's pretty bad. Even showing an exact photo of what I wanted, my technition couldn't do it. It looked so bad but still I had to say something. I just wanted 2 colors. I kept saying I didn't want the darker color below the lighter. 2 hours and I walked out with a color I didn't want and dry nails from redoing it. This is the next morning and my cuticles are messed up from all the alcohol to fix the manicure. Really wasted my time. This was one of the worst manicure experiences I have ever had. The manager knew what was happening but just played on her cell phone the whole time. This was Saturday at 11. I've been going here for years. I'll need to have my nails redone. read more

I initially left a five star review on Google maps disregarding a bunch of weirdness because the pedicure by one staff member was satisfactory. However, the manicure chipped within 4 days. The manicurist who came rushing out of the back of the salon having just fried up chillies (?) applied two coats of paint. I do not recall a top coat. The salon did not answer my enquiry on Yelp. When I called, the owner refused to do a free touch-up and spoke in a bitchy, condescending manner. This brings meaning to the receipt being given to the pedicurist. I heard someone, probably her, say in the background of the phone call, you *"$&-_ the review. I guess frying up chillies in the back of a nail salon was supposed to mean something as well? I cannot recommend this salon to anyone. And, yes, I paid full price for the service and I left cash tips. read more

I really hate rating a place this low because everyone's very nice and kind but the quality of the actual nail service was not great. I did call at 2:45pm and they could take at me 3:30pm on a Saturday and I appreciated that. The space is cramped but they make it work so it's fine. They don't have the full mani/pedi massage chairs so that already tells me I won't be coming for a pedi at the $$ price level here. I came just for a gel manicure and brought a clear reference picture- I wanted matte black nails with a pink accent finger and a pink-white-black triangle design on my middle fingers. The very nice woman helping me was happy to do this incredibly simple design. I arrived with my nails already filed and shaped, and told her no need to do that step because I prefer my nail length and shape as a have done it myself. She said okay, and that she just wants to even it out a bit. Fine- I'm not perfect so a figure of course you can help even anything that's slightly off. Unfortunately she then proceeded to fully file my nails into a square shape (which was NOT my original preferred slightly rounded shape) and on top of that she filed the sides of my nails down unnecessarily and made them so weirdly thin! I would have been able to let that go if the actual gel manicure had turned out nice but sadly it didn't. The nails that were pure matte black almost all ended up with air bubbles that are painfully obvious because of the matte finish. And of course the color being such a harsh contrast made it even more clear that my nail shape was not what I wanted it to be or what it had started out as. Sadly, she could not to the black-white-pink triangle layer shape on the middle fingers that I wanted.... She just couldn't figure out how to do it, so she asked if she could do just the black and pink. This was pretty disappointing considering she began the mani telling me without worry she could do this look. She also did it in the wrong order, painting the black on the end of the nail first and then trying to fit the pink within the lines. You can see from the pictures that the result is uneven, patchy, the black bleeds into the pink and the line is absolutely fuzzy.... And it's not close to even on either middle nail. She gave me $5 off for not being able to do the design... And kept insisting how great they turned out and this looks better without the white stripe..... Sorry but that doesn't make me feel better because it's not what I asked for and even the compromise didn't turn out good. I'm sorry to say that I'm really unhappy with the end result. The pictures are from immediately after the nails were done. Again, the woman was very nice and caring so I feel so bad to be writing such a negative review but ultimately this is what I paid $45 for before tip and I'm not satisfied with it at all. I wish she would have asked another tech to come do it who is better at designs and that she would have taken more time and care with making the polish smooth without air bubbles. And I really wish she she'd left my nail shape alone like I'd asked. This was my first time here and sadly I think my last. I hope everyone else has a better experience and maybe if you're coming for just a plain, single color, short-nail look then it might be fine.... read more

As I sit off in what can only be described as a waiting corner featuring a single chair, a stand with magazines and a water cooler; I write my review for Nail Paradise as my toes dry. You see Nail Paradise doesn't have an official frying station, nor do they have a typical waiting area. So if you do not have an appointment you might find yourself just sitting around or standing off to the side trying not to be in anybodies way. Nonetheless that doesn't take from the clean and comfy atmosphere. The workers are very friendly and take their work seriously. I was fortunate to really feel pampered with two esthetician's working on my gel manicure and pedicure simultaneously. Talk about personal attention! The price was moderate and for the attention I received I do not have a complaint. So why 4 stars? I took away a star for the non drying station as well as not having my loved foot bath experience. While they do provide a tub to rest, and rinse your feet there isn't the jet/bubble experience. I truly was looking forward to that after the past couple weeks I've had. But like I said still a great salon. When I come back to LA I would surely visit again. read more

I tell you this is my first time here and won't be the last! I'll be back! When we arrived, they were quite busy but was able to take both of us in. They asked me to get my color picked out. They had a variety of colors to choose from. The staffs that worked on me and my friend were super friendly! The manager there was super friendly and very accommodating! I really wanted to like this place because the reviews were great and the people were so sweet but the work just wasn't what it should be. My gel manicure chipped within a day and looked lumpy. I also usually get gel on my toes too, so when I arrive most places soak them in acetone. They didn't do that here and instead used a machine to file the nail polish off. My toenails are so flimsy now that they've also chipped and completely broken off. So disappointing. read more
