Came in as a walk-in around 6:15 on a Wednesday. They were able to accommodate me and did such a nice job on my gel manicure. They didn't have the color that I originally picked in gel, I think if I had chosen to go dip they would have. I ended up choosing a different more vibrant color, and it came out nice. The shape of the nails were even and the location is very clean! The staff is also very warm and happy to do your nails to your liking. They also play relaxing music in the background so it's a peaceful environment overall. Love supporting local shops.

3.5 stars. I've been here twice to get a pedicure. Since moving to Lakewood it's been a little difficult finding a nail salon I truly like the work. So I gave Nailpolish a couple of tries. The place is clean and neat. Very spacious. And can cater to kiddos too. Although the ladies are sweet and kind, I don't feel that they pay too much attention to detail. My first experience was good. "T" gave a nice massage during the scrub and lotion portion of the pedicure. My second visit was with another nail tech. Her scrub and lotion massage was very short and almost not even a massage sadly. I'm a new mom and can hardly find the time to do something for myself. So I actually look forward to that short massage portion when getting a pedicure. Both times I come home to inspect the work, my big toes shapes don't match. So I'd have to file them to correct it. This last time the lady didn't clean the polish that got on the skin. It was quite messy looking at it close up. I don't like to see pictures of feet so I only took a picture of the left side where dirt (something) was on the toe and she painted over it so it left bumps. I know had I inspected the work there, they would have fixed it, but probably not happy to do it. I really want to love this place and to make it my go-to nail shop so I'll give it one more try on my next visit. Stay tuned!

Not worth trying this place out , nails aren't consistent in size, bumpy polish smh . Very disappointed, definitely won't be going back .

I really wanted to like this place. Pros: The shop is very clean and has modern decor. The nail technicians are really nice. Pedicure is still good. Cons: The downside was I got gel on my nails and after only 1.5 days, they've already chipped. I paid $48 + $10 tip and didn't get the quality I wanted.

Trina, Kathy, and Amy are so amazing! Been coming here for years. When I tell you I feel like home I always feel like home when I walk into this nail shop. Everything is always so clean. Kathy is my girl too for my toes and she is always so sweet and humble and does the job well. Amy is my girl for nails and always does a beautiful job and just the way I like my nails to be. Trina is the best always and always greets me as if I were family. Seriously, when it comes to making an appointment they will take you on your appointment time if they are running late they will call you to give you the curiosity so you won't be waiting. That's my biggest pet peeve in a nail shop. If you want a loyal nail shop this is the place. Thank me later!

Thank you Trina and Juliane for being so sweet, accommodating, and easy to talk to, even though I was a walk in and I got lost driving to the nail salon. I love the decor! I also love my fall nail set that I found off of Pinterest that Juliane was able recreate with our own twist on it. I was in such a rush, that I forgot to ask for the massage and lotion that came with manicure. I'll definitely come back next time for the experience again.

I liked my nails. They were smooth and even. But one of my nails cracked after only 3 days!!! The other one chipped after 5 days. Surprisingly I hadn't done any kinda work with my hands either.This is so disappointing . Even if I got gel or regular mani it would stay longer! Never go to an unknown nail spa. I don't live in long beach otherwise I'd go there and get a refund or get this mess fixed. I paid 40 dollars for nothing... Unbelievable! I got my lesson.... never go to random nail salons. The lady was fast and the staff were so friendly and nice. They didn't have much variety of colors tho. I always have many choices in other nail salons, but they have limited colors for dip powder. They also don't have a massage chair for pedicure. I didn't get the pedi then... they didn't offer any champagne, although they offered me green tea or lemonade. Overall their quality is extremely poor.

Love this place ! All the ladies are very nice . It's my go to place biweekly If your gel polish peels after a few days (which is rare) they will fix it right away . Great service !

Besides the cute set up, nail job was horrible. I went in for a fill that already chipped with less than 24 hours from getting them done. And my gel pedi was so horribly painted as well. The paint was streaky. My big toe cuticles are in pain from the cuts they left and on my thumb too. They are indoors so that's the only positive thing about my experience. This was my first and last time here. Not sure what the cost was for each but for a fill and gel pedi w cuticles was a total of $70. It was cash only. I still tipped both workers.

Missed some areas during application. Pictures don't really capture it but my nails just looked aweful, thick and uneven.

Since moving to Long Beach I have been trying to find a good place to get my nails done, and I've found it! Everyone is very attentive, making sure I'm comfortable and offering me something to drink. I said I was fine and they still got me a glass of water. I got a gel pedi by Tracy! She's very sweet, even helped me pick out my color (I'm very indecisive). I got the more pricey one for callous removal at $32 plus gel removal and plus another $15 for gel removal and gel polish. Will be coming again! PSA: You can get $5 off for writing a Yelp review and you can get $10 off every tenth time when you get your card stamped :) read more

I have been coming to Nailpolish for over a year now! I love it! I come every two weeks like clock work, all the ladies are so nice and caring to your needs. I go to Jennifer and my mom goes to Michelle they are so talented at doing nails, always up on trends and always letting you know when new colors come in. For my feet I go to Tammy she gives the most amazing pedicure, all pedicure packages come with a massage, its so relaxing after a long feet on your feet. Trina is my go to for wax, always listens and is very comforting. They offer all nail services, pedicure packages, and wax services as well. They recently started doing lash extentions, which I haven't tried but I thought I mention it! My favorite thing about Nailpolish is the environment, it's so calming and relaxing! It's not loud and over crowded. It doesn't give you a sweatshop type of feel! Every time I leave my nails and toes are on point! read more

The ladies are very nice and always do a great job with my nails. Service is also excellent here, in my opinion. I am always greeted with a warm smile and they always offer a bottle of water. The color selection is great, they have a variety of different colors and you can tell they keep up with the trend by buying new shades too. I've never had any issues with the staff here. Consistently high standards and quality of service. I have been coming to this nail salon for over two years. I never feel a need to request a particular technician because the consistency and quality is always high. The owner always goes out of her way to accommodate her patrons even when faced with difficult and racist customers. They always handle even the most outlandish behavior with more patience and compassion than you or I would if faced with a similar situation. Come here for really good service. And always remember it never costs anything to be kind. read more

I have finally found my nail salon! I made an appointment, and they took me as soon as I walked in. While I picked my colors, the water and space was being prepared. The lady who worked on my manicure and pedicure was so sweet, and she did a wonderful job. Also, the girl at the front desk was very welcoming and kept checking in to see if I was doing ok. On a side note they don't have the big spa chairs, which is fine by me. The chairs available are so cozy and makes it feel very homey. Also, make sure to bring cash for a tip. You can add on to the amount, but only if it is your first visit. read more

I swung back here on a Friday afternoon. They were busy so they told me to come back in a couple hours. That wasn't a problem for me, but I would recommend calling them to set up an appointment first, since they have groupon/yelp customers luring in. I got gel acrylics which I was satisfied with..and even got offered drinks and mini cupcakes! What I really love about this place is that the nail ladies aren't chattering amongst themselves in Vietnamese and they are actually friendly and want to talk to you! I would definitely come back again for the atmosphere. read more

Came in due to my Groupon purchase and I am glad I bought it because it lead me to this place! The decor is comfy and modern and they offer you a beverage when you get seated! They get right to work and the lady I had for both mani and pedi, Sue, was very quiet. She felt no need to small chat or to pry into my life or ask me for extras like callus remover or designs, which I LOVED! And the cherry on top is that she did not speak to others out loud in Vietnamese, which we all know makes us customers very self conscious and almost assumptive that they are talking about you. Sue was very diligent and fast! She did not mess around with her work. This is the first time that I have all my nails fully painted and nothing left on my cuticles or skin. Pros -The decor is cute. Cons -The lady who did my gel manicure must have been having a rough day. Didn't say a word to me, didn't even bother to ask me how I wanted my nails shaped, didn't properly get my cuticles, ugh horrible job. -Not a huge deal but annoying nonetheless. My friend and I (who are well over 21 lol) didn't get offered mimosas. We didn't even know they offered them until some ladies who came in after us got offered some. Catching up with my friend with mimosas would have been nice :) (also, the alcohol may have helped me overlook the quality of the services) -Overpriced for such a rushed, crappy job they did. I don't mind paying more if the end result is worth it. it wasn't here. read more

It's important to stop when you tell anyone working with your body, "no." My pedicure technician legitimately dug at a hangnail on my big toe. That is serious cause for concern. Infections are not a joke and they are easily started by pulling out a stubborn hangnail. I asked the technician to stop and she kept going. I asked her again and she gave up. On top of that, this place is the kind of shop where if you get the basics with no add-ons the technicians treat you like crap. I'm sorry, but I really don't like gel and I have my own foot scrub at home that I use. I definitely won't be coming back here, ever again. read more

Been here at least (8) times techs are always pleasant and efficient, Beautiful establishment always clean and smells is aromatic, love the smell (: Samantha the owner is super sweet and attentive.. The new receptionists was not attentive at all didn't check on us nor asked if we needed refills, they give complementary wine water tea ........ Yesterday I was expecting to go to my usual place Vogue Nails but they wouldn't let me walk in although I came 2 hrs before they closed. So instead I decided to try Nailpolish since I've heard good things about this place . I called ahead to see if they had an opening & they did. I really liked that they had a wide variety of colors & different brands to choose from. The staff there was very friendly. They also give you a drink along with your service. Although I didn't want anything. The pedi was great I had two women work on me they kept switching off but it was okay cause they both did an amazing job on my toes and were both polite. I will definitely be coming back to this salon again. I also love that it's right down the street from my house. read more

Loved Tammy she did my nails so beautifully! I loved the cute way the shop is set up. I went in hoping I could look like a mermaid and I was not disappointed! I love the way my nails came out! I didn't mind paying a higher price for cleanliness and service, and I got all of that and more. Don't let the out side of the building fool you it is amazing! I can't wait to go in today! read more

The cleanliness and design of this place is what sets it apart from so many other nail salons in the area. It's modern, welcoming, open, and warm. The staff are just as nice and welcoming.Tammy, the tech, was good and did a great job. I enjoyed my experience but it wasn't anything overwhelming. I would return if I was in the area, but I will likely continue to look for a replacement. read more

Long story short. I went in for a gel mani/pedi two days before my brother's wedding. ON the day of my brother's wedding, most of my gel manicured nails were chipped or peeled off. Shocking! Gel manicures are supposed to last at least 2 weeks. I was so upset because here I was at the wedding reception in a gorgeous long red dress with ugly nails. So sad! Needless to say, I called them first thing Monday morning. They apologized and asked me to come in right away. I arrived Nailpolish after a long day at the office to a very apologetic staff. I value quality and am always willing to pay the high price tag for the best quality and impeccable service. My absolute pet peeve is when people take short cuts and think they can get away with it. The owner, Trina, herself apologized on behalf of her staff and gave me a brand new gel manicure. She was very meticulous. I ended up with the most beautiful gel manicure I had ever gotten. Thank you Trina for offering an apology instead of finding excuses and especially for redoing my nails to perfection. I appreciate your nice gesture and will only come back if you do my nails again :) read more

This is my new go to salon! Service was awesome, as soon as you walk in your greated and asked your name. I thought that was so nice compared to other nails salon that just yell "what you want today?!" Lol we've all been to one of those. The atmosphere is relaxing and modern and the chairs..... So comfy! First off, I wanted to say... this place is great!!! The customer service is excellent and I couldn't be happier with my service. While I was here, the girls explained their concerns about Yelp reviewers and I could see where they were coming from. There are always going to be people who are unhappy no matter what you do for them -- it's a lose-lose situation when dealing with customer service. What Nailpolish offers is unlike any in the area, and sure, they don't have spa chairs but I would rather have fungus free feet anyway! Take the bad reviews with a grain of salt and come in for yourself and try them out. If for any reason you're unhappy, they seem more than welcoming to address and fix any issues -- don't spend your time to sign up for an account JUST to bad mouth a business... it's not fair for anyone. read more

This is my first time on Yelp and I had to sign up just to leave a review. This place is by far, the best, most welcoming and professional pace I've ever been to in the Long Beach/Lakewood area. I made an appt a few days in advance and received a text message 2 hours before my appt as a reminder. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by your name, seated within seconds, and offered a drink and chocolate! they have WINE! They make an effort to talk to you and get to you know you, while the techs really take their time. Definitely one of the best massages I've had during a pedicure!
