I just want someone to cut my toe nails super short and my nails to be short and round. The other thing I care about is getting my eyebrows wax. So from that perspective I really like how Kim rounds my finger nails. I don't think it's that common to do I think square is more popular but I do so much work with my hands I want my nails out of my way. You'd be surprised how many people don't do round nails well, and again I've been happy each time. I also appreciate the salon is only run by the husband and wife, so kudos to them working so hard and providing great service. And the last thing is I love getting my eyebrows done here. We did ask the lady who set us up to add some cold water in. When she began doing my toes, I took a before picture. Just for the simple fact that my toes rough and I wanted to see the before and after that the shop could do. I don't know if that freaked her out or made her nervous but once I took the photo, she began redoing the details of my toes and cuticles. So much so that my sister that I came in with was done with her pedicure and I was still on filing. Now, while she was filing the file was scratching the side so now I had lifted skin on the actual toe. Also, when she was doing the cuticle snipping, I let her know that my side of the big toe was sensitive. And she just looked at me a little weird and Said I always do it gently. If it was gentle, I would not have had to warn her away from that area. So this experience did not relax me. It actually made me more anxious and nervous to be there. So with that in mind, I was looking at the work she was doing as she was doing it. When asked to even out the top nails, so it could be more square she kept Rebuttling me or negating when I was asking for . No mind you I haven't been to a nail salon in almost 5 years and I do have my own nail tech. But for this, I had an event in a couple days and my nail tech is out of town. So we thought a simple manicure pedicure would get us through the next week or two. So finally, after having to correct a number of different things, she was doing to my toes she must've gotten fed up with me. And said " I will just be doing the toes with clear and you can wait for your nail tech to come back in town." Yes that was what was said. I responded with that's fine because I was already getting irritated and more anxious and more nervous and more tight . I paid $35 for my botched pedicure. I would not recommend this nail salon. They are receiving a one star for the service provided. This is the first place that I would give a zero rating to, but as this is yelp, that is not possible.

The owner said it wouldn't be a problem and made a comment about how I wanted something basic and tried to talk me into another color. I mentioned this was for my graduation and that I wanted to match a a specific theme. He still argued that I should change it! I got firm and told him no and asked again if he could give me a soft pink like I referenced in the photo. I picked a color from the sample books and continued my pedicure. Upon finishing he started to paint my toes the color on the right (purple!) I told him this was the wrong color! He said I was wrong. I asked to see the bottle and pointed out that it was indeed the wrong color. He then said he was out!! I picked another three times and he said he was out of all the soft pink and continued to tell me the color I was given was PINK!! He refused to help and kept telling me these were less basic.... There are two employees I've grown to like and one was even nice enough to offer me water when I was pregnant sitting down getting my nails done. That being said, I have to agree with most of the reviews: - service is always rushed - making a reservation doesn't matter - my last time I caught them reusing tools - sometimes they don't clean your cuticles - they file down your nails so deep when removing gel - they have huge limitations on designs (can't do more than half the designs I've brought them) - service price has gone up and up in the past 8 months (pedi used to be $35 now the basic is like $45 and $55 with gel, extra for the cheese grater) - basic acrylic nails with one color and shape is like $85 They do offer free water but I think moving forward, after all the price increases, the inconsistent services, reusing old tools, limited design knowledge, I'll be looking for other places. Here is a pic from last year on the basic nails I got versus the reference. I do have to say that they even have trouble with color matching. This time, they actually got it.

I came in for a manicure and pedicure, and unfortunately both technicians were extremely rough on my hands and feet throughout the service. The simple polish application turned out very uneven and messy. Another technician had to step in to try to fix it, but the final result still looks poorly done. My acrylic fill is also unacceptable, there was little to no blending near the nail beds, so the acrylic appears bulky and unnatural. I'm now having to spend additional time and money getting everything corrected the day before I leave town for an event. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and a complete waste of time.
