Never going to this smelly pit again. Why would I? Their beer is very inconsistent -- more often than not lately I get an overpriced beer that tastes like it's been at the bottom of the keg far too long. Plus the staff are generally rude. I had a guy the other day - he looked like a panhandler with a "STAFF" T-shirt - come give me crap about standing on the water side of their wall. I wasn't drinking, but he informed me that a lot of people "Play Games..." Oh. How about you play a game called getting a life, dork? With Rock N Brews, Strand, El Segundo, Smog City, etc. all in the area and all serving good, fresh product with pleasant service, why put up with Naja's? They don't even appear to have even cleaned the place in 6 months. I hope they're out of business soon. read more

Oh, Naja's. I don't care that your bar smells like a mix of biker sweat, vomit, and urine. I love you. You know why? Because I can get a whole f**kin' pitcher of Firestone's Velvet Mirkin for $14 when other bars charge me $8 for the pint. That's why. Naja's Place is the place to go if you want to get drunk on excellent beer in a hurry. I mean, I hate being drunk on Bud Light. I might as well inject myself with rubbing alcohol and call it a night. But if I want to go to a place that will serve me pitchers of my favorite craft brews without stealing all the twentys out of my wallet, then I'm going to go balls to the wall and chug my delicious American stouts at Naja's Place. And also, thank you for serving a variety of beers (while still catering to the craft brew crowd) so that my non-beernut friends can enjoy PBR without me mocking them. It's crowded, hot, loud, sweaty and AMAZING. I have spent way too many birthdays here-it's an excuse to get my higher maintenence friends away from the Yardhouse. You might see friends of your parents here, or you might face plant into the beer gut of a 7 foot tall regular. It is an excellent day drinking spot. 4 stars because I have yet to have the food here. This place has over a hundred beers on tap. I remember having the Oregon Honey Lager and it was delicious. More price efficient to get a pitcher unless you want to try different beers! Like other have said, the cover bands that play are SUPER loud so you'll pretty much be yelling to whoever you're with so they can hear you unless you sit on the other side of the bar! If you like beer, you can't go wrong with Naja's 'cause with so many beers on tap, they have something for everyone. The staff is always really helpful with any questions, and will let you sample the different brews. As far as the food is concerned, I think it's pretty damn tasty, but mind you I've usually had a few mugs by the time I decide I wanna eat something. Great place to stop by if you're cruising the bike along the strand, and wanna take a break and people watch. They also have live entertainment - cover bands. Redondo Beach is not my favorite place in LA. It's a little rough around the edges and it smells like a fish market. However, if you ever find yourself here and need some respite, come to Naja's Place. Tons of Beers to choose from and they even sell bubbly by the bottle at reasonable prices. Deep fried bar food is available too. Open air feel, pleasant music and a diverse crowd. Decent spot for day drinking. The bartenders could use a few pints of friendly lager if you ask me, but overall, not a bad spot to beat the heat in summer. read more

Dive bar in the area, and this place is divey. This place might not be the spot for some divey rock, this place is all about the beer selection, at least at 11pm or so. They got mad selection of beer which they seem to rotate, super chill, no need to dress up, get your flip flops and shorts on and grab a brew some some friends. I want to love this bar so much, and maybe some day I will. It's got that relaxed, open air, dive bar feel. Views of the boats docked in the harbor, not the ocean, but it still has that beachy feel. Unbelievable beer selection, with taps winding around two walls. Cool mural on the wall that my boyfriend and I stared at for a good fifteen minutes. My only gripe was that the bartender was a jerk; if you're going to work at a bar with 80+ taps, you have to be prepared to explain what things are and wait for your customers to make a decision. I made the wrong decision because he was pressuring me to choose. They will give samples though, which is a plus. read more

Naja's looks fun but This place is dirty. The tables are dirty as the bathrooms open up facing the main seating area so people have a good look. Food orders came out quickly which meant poor quality. Summertime Saturday afternoons at Najas are a lot of fun! Najas has an impressive number of beers on tap - probably 70 or so! They have an awesome awesome Reggae band that plays on Saturday afternoons during the summer and there is always a fun and festive crowd there enjoying the music. If I could give Naja's eight stars, I would. This place has got to be the best beer bar EVER. Something like 77+ craft beers on tap, knowledgeable staff, metal on the jukebox, a pool table, a smoking patio, a back bar, and kick ass bar food. All this with a view of Redondo harbor. I highly recommend the 'kebab' plate; I don't know what part of it is actual kebab, but imagine chopped chicken or steak sauteed on a grill with onions & mushrooms, served w/ hummus, pico de gallo, pureed jalapenos, sour cream, lettuce, and warm pita bread. It is INSANE. The place gets packed on weekends & I've noticed that some of my friends who don't do dive bars feel like it's a sketchy crowd. It's an awesome crowd & I've never seen any trouble there, unlike bars on Hermosa Pier. Naja's f*cking RULES. read more

This used to be my favorite bar. They've added a bouncer with SECURITY on his t-shirt and the staff has gotten pushy. It's summer and all but they tend to forget the people who keep that place open the rest of the year. Just move to the pier in hermosa already and give us back the cool local bar. Place has a lot of potential but comes up short. The view is great, the beer selection is pretty good. Kinda wierd that a place like this has no music. Seems like the kind of place that would be cranking out some classic rock, but instead it is dead silent. The other thing is that there is no food there until late afternoon. It's all about the beer here! Had a classic moment when my friend and I decided to try a special bottle beer and the guy behind us in line who was getting a Bud gawker incredulously and asked, "you just paid 21 dollars for a beer?" Some people just dont get it. Fun cover band on some nights, nice pier facing counters and stools. It's not really pretty, but with a massive tap and bottle selection, who cares? If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Their staff are disrespectful and unprofessional. I was having a beer here with a group of friends and several of us were standing outside and leaning against the open patio window while drinking our beers. The bartender yelled at us to stop drinking outside and we immediately did. Out of nowhere a separate employee came up to us and got in our faces, wagging his finger at us and telling us they would get a huge fine if we didn't stop although we already had. After, one of our friends was jokingly flipping off one of our friends inside the bar and the employee returned to scream at my friend, yelling "don't you dare flip off my bar staff, fuck you" again wagging his finger in her face. As a women I felt extremely disrespected by the staff, and even the manager dismissed our concerns when we spoke with him. The place is divey, but the beer selection is crazy vast! Delicious beer at decent prices right on the water. And a juke box! Enjoyable.

Again it depends on what you want from a bar. From a beer drinkers aspect, this is the place to go. They have around 100 beers on tap and about 100 beers in bottles. They have a constant changing of the beer selection so that every week you can try something new. If you talk to the bartender and explain to them what you like, it's as if they have tried everything on the menu and can recommend 6 types of beer that you like. You can sample a few before you make your decision, the bartenders are always friendly and accomodating. I love riding my bike here and having a pitcher during happy hour, 4-7pm. I have to be honest though. The food used to be so good 3 years ago. Then something happened. I don't know what it was but I don't eat here anymore. They took the polish sausage off the menu, they overload their chickenwings with Luisiana hot sauce until that's all you can taste. The fries used to be addictive but not anymore. What happened? This place had some good live music when I went there. we are talking covers that sounded really close to the originals. That provided for some good dancing. Down side, despite the crowdedness and the casual atmosphere of this bar, they watched like hawks to make sure no drinks went on their sorry excuse for a dance floor. I didn't try any food there. They have lots of beer on tap but don't serve liquor there at all.
