Wonderful tasty healthy food! They use good oils (avocado/olive/sesame oil) no bad seed oils. We got the berry pancakes and Wok bowl with added tofu. Beautiful dishes and great portion sizes. Great outdoor ambience and excellent service. Our food was very good and light perfect after running a 5K. However our drinks weren't good at all, very weak (in coffee or tea flavor) & watered down. I'll definitely return but will only have water next time. Oh and there was no soap in the bathroom, I told an employee when I walked out. Almost an hour later my husband went to the bathroom to change my sons diaper and still no soap in the bathroom. We do frequent breakfast meetings here and it is the perfect spot for my gluten-free co-worker. They don't even bat an eye at her diet restrictions and every answer is "yes" we can do that. Service is very friendly, albeit a bit slow at times. It seems to be the layed-back atmosphere though so they are probably more used to the relaxed locals than those needing to get to work. The food is great. You can't go wrong with the coconut french toast, and the buff burrito, but the Yin and Yang is amazing. I've also heard that their Yin and Yang bowl and Steak tacos are great. The ambiance is very casual, in the middle of a courtyard surrounded by shops. They have outdoor and indoor dining and its a relaxed atmosphere. All of the servers that I have had have been friendly. I absolutely love this place! It's nestled in an outdoor shopping plaza and there is an abundance of tables throughout the courtyard. A friend chose this place to celebrate his birthday, it was all of our first time at the cafe. Service was quick for our party of 5! For drinks we ordered a pitcher of mimosa, and a variety of coffees. I had the steak tenderloin medallions, everyone else had pancakes, avocado toast, and vegan/gluten free meals. Let's update my review, because everything has gotten so much better here, including the menu. Do you know how fun it is for me to order the "sesame ginger chicken soft tacos, with no sesame ginger chicken". It was a suggestion of my vegetarian server to go with tofu this last visit and it was so good! There's also steak tacos on corn tortillas with mango that I'm curious about. The lattes have improved- I like Oceans's Blue which is a tea latte and Blue Planet, which is the espresso version of the drink. Blue spirulina is an extract so it doesn't have the same health benefits of blue-green algae (which is a whole food), but it is a neutral taste that really works in the drink. Whole food algae tastes like straight up pond water. Service is awesome and attentive, and there's sooo many of them running around now. They don't drop the check fast anymore. Also, the al fresco dining set up is super cute! I am happy to have this place back in my rotation. read more

This location is amazing! I made the spontaneous decision to stop by and have breakfast with my mother after we drove from out of town. We had such excellent food, I'm very happy we did! I purchased the Blue Planet Coffee and my mother got the Naked Mocha, and both are so delicious! Service is prompt and friendly. The menu is huge which made it hard to decide which items to order. We ordered fresh squeezed orange juice and a hot mocha. My wife ordered an Artichoke Scramble with home fries. I ordered a cup of soup of the day Broccoli soup and a Harmony Bowl with added steak bits. Soup was clear liquid with loads of vegetables served hot. Both our entrees were excellent and so plentiful we brought some home for dinner. The big highlight was a large pumpkin pancake which we had for dessert: well actually for a side since it was recommended by the waitress. The food was excellent, the service was phenomenal, and prices are decent. It has been ages since I was able to eat pancakes away from home. Not only did they have a gluten free option, but it is also vegan which worked great for me since I cannot have dairy either. My friend had an egg scramble and said it was excellent as well. I cannot figure out why someone complained about the parking at the Carlsbad Village location - it does not have paid parking. They do have one hour and three-hour parking spots, and perhaps the person complaining parked in a one-hour spot and exceeded the time limit. I almost did not come to this location based on that complaint. There is plenty of parking for both the one and three hour spots. Also, there are fun shops in the same location. This was our first Naked Cafe to visit years and years ago, and it continues to be our favorite. Their organic, Kona pressed coffee is a favorite. Get it with almond milk. The menu is marked for GF, Vegan, etc. If you see something that's one or the other, they'll work with you to make it both GF and Vegan. My favorite is the Transcendence Wrap, as a bowl. That was suggested by an employee at the Solana Beach location and it's my go-to every time I visit. I also make it gluten free by requesting they sub out the spinach wrap for a corn tortilla. When I ordered it at the Carlsbad location, the employee who delivered it to the table, when they announced the dish said "wow, smart". Everyone's always friendly here and the service is efficient. read more

Both my kids worked at naked cafe in their Solano beach location years ago! The service was amazing in all their locations back then... we still went to the Carlsbad location on a regular basis... We hadn't been their since last year until today. The service is absolutely horrible- !!! We waited over 25 minutes for our server. When we finally ordered coffee and our food at the same time because we knew it would be a long wait if we didn't! The food came out at a decent time - but my eggs was almost raw. I looked around for our server and couldn't find her - so I asked the host/busser if he could get me a cooked egg lol. Meanwhile we are still waiting for our coffee. My son and daughter are half way through their meal when another server comes out and says "I hope this egg is what you wanted rolling her eyes ... still waiting for coffee and water. We went for a nice breakfast/lunch today at the Naked Cafe. My favorite overall thing is the puppy menu. You can have breakfast with your puppy and it's super reasonable. We really enjoyed our meals. They were hot and freshly made. The Huevos Ranchero was especially delicious. I appreciated the fact it was seasoned perfectly because I don't like super spicy food. The quesadilla plate was delicious and enough to share. They also have smoothies and Latte's so you can get lots of options to pick from. It's also super clean inside. This cafe is a gem.
