We went for a nice breakfast/lunch today at the Naked Cafe. My favorite overall thing is the puppy menu. You can have breakfast with your puppy and it's super reasonable. We really enjoyed our meals. They were hot and freshly made. The Huevos Ranchero was especially delicious. I appreciated the fact it was seasoned perfectly because I don't like super spicy food. The quesadilla plate was delicious and enough to share. They also have smoothies and Latte's so you can get lots of options to pick from. It's also super clean inside. This cafe is a gem. If you have not been there do yourself a favor and try it. You will be pleased. read more

While in the Carlsbad Village we stopped here at the Naked Cafe.  It is an indoor/outdoor restaurant with lots of patio seating. I saw a group with 4 different plates and they all looked good. While my girlfriend was in a store I skimmed through the menu and decided that this would be worth a shot for our first meal of the day. The menu is varied and has a lot of great breakfast, brunch, and lunch options. The food seems to be on the healthier and organic side but also has something for everyone.  I had the Buff Burrito with a side of rosemary potatoes and my girlfriend had the Artichoke scramble. Our food was really good and overall we liked the variety of the menu but we agreed that the wait was much longer than expected. The food was fresh and the service was good but it took a while to come out. We didn't realize that they closed at 2:30 but there seemed to be a rush before then. Our food came out, but then there was a line of people with to-go orders that were standing right next to us. There were so many people lined up to next to us that the couple at the table parallel to us moved to another table.  We enjoyed the food and service but the time that it took, although worth the wait, was kind dampered by the line of people standing next to us while we were trying to dine. I would still suggest this place for the menu and service but time of day and seating may impact your experience. read more

I had the hot chocolate and it was amazing,rich, and creamy, exceeding my standers. I also got the strawberry and chocolate chip pancakes which were so good that I couldn't finish. My family, who were also sitting at the table, also loved the meal. My mother had a chi latte and the coffee maker must have been very skilled because the honey on top was an excellent design. I had really wanted to try this place out for awhile and finally went today. I had the Yin/yang done "vegan" so without the cheese and sour cream. The idea was exactly what I had been craving so I was excited to try it. Sadly I was disappointed. It was roasted rosemary potatoes which I couldn't taste any rosemary...black beans which overpowered everything else and too much of... it had a few other veggies in it but they were chopped very big and didn't really get cooked. Lastly they put cilantro in it but didn't actually cook it with the food just put like big whole sprigs on top?!! Even if they meant for it as a garnish it needs to be chopped a bit! I love cilantro but not trying to eat whole sprigs of eat. Unfortunately they missed the mark. I wanted to try their pancakes out as well.... but not sure I want to come back. read more

Went here for our lunch break but it was more of a brunch. This was my first time here so we were on a time crunch but it was worth the wait! I got something on their specials of the week. It was the Chilaquiles! I got potatoes as my side, I got sunny side up eggs and added vegan chorizo! It was so so delish! Everything was savory. First off, you can't beat the location. It's in a nice little mall with coastal vibes, and sitting outside is just fun. Service: Our waitress was very nice and attentive, we had no issues. Drink: Our table shared the Mimosa Pitcher (available in multiple flavors). We were a little shocked at the price point compared to other Mimosa portions elsewhere, but once we had a glass we knew the Champagne to Juice ratio was worth it. Food: I ordered the Green & Red Pagoda, which I found quite enjoyable! My friend got the Transcendence Wrap, which he also enjoyed. Overall, no objections to the food. Super cute little brunch spot in a courtyard surrounded by boutiques and a fountain! The food is awesome!! We ordered the Rising Sun Burrito with bacon bits (highly recommend ordering a side of their yummy salsa with it), Rainbow Salad (beautiful and fresh), Coconut French Toast ( just omg. no words. fabulous.), and Carrot Ginger Soup (super flavorful and complex with a little kick) and loved our food. We had a few issues with our first server getting our food and sides out, but the AWESOME manager, KERRI saved the day and personally handled making sure we got everything and even comped us a latte for the inconvenience. This is my favorite brunch spot in all of north county! I come here all the time and I have never had a bad experience. The staff are almost always friendly, and the food never misses. I love that when I order to go the quality doesn't change! My favorite item is probably the French toast (coconut crusted) and the avo toast! I just can't seem to get enough. They also make a variety of speciality mimosas which are so good! I love the lavender one! I love the outdoor dining in experience so much with the larger dining area. read more

They're re-opened and have a good amount of outdoor seating available! I love that the waitresses were very helpful and made sure that the table and chairs were wiped down after every patron finished there. Got the naked mocha which was delicious! I'm not a big fan of coffee, but their mocha was sweet and paired perfectly with the whip cream. The Burrito we got was filling for breakfast, but I wish it was a bit bigger for the price we paid. The plate came with two mini burritos that were super cute. As far as the flavor goes though, I loved how the salsa paired perfectly with the chicken and egg whites. read more

We randomly came across this restaurant while looking for a brunch spot on yelp. I got a naked matcha latte and a rising sun quesadilla. The latte was okay but I thought the quesadilla was really overpriced. The taste was so mediocre and lacked flavor. Honestly, I felt that I could make a way better quesadilla than what I got. I don't know how they could mess up on such a simple dish. I was pretty disappointed and thought all the food options were pretty overpriced. I'm sure there are better brunch spots nearby. read more

Don't eat here unless you've got 2 hours to kill. I showed up here with a friend at 9:00 a.m. on a Sunday. There was only one other party there. We ordered coffee and food immediately. The waiter put in our order at 9:03 a.m. and came back with the coffee. Then we waited. And waited. And waited some more. All around us, other people got their food. Small parties, large parties - entire families who showed up after us got their food. The waiter briefly stopped by the table to say, "The food is working." Still we waited. FORTY-FIVE MINUTES after we ordered, I flagged down the server and asked where the food was. He said the manager told him our order hadn't even been processed yet. They hadn't even STARTED making our food. They completely ignored us. (Remember: This was AFTER he said "The food is working" - which is as false as it is nonsensical.) The waiter apologized and said he'd try to comp our meal. He said the manager would be out to personally apologize. Our meal finally arrived around 10:00 a.m., about an hour after we ordered it. It was...OK. The waiter arrived with the check - hey, at least they ask for money in a timely manner! - and, lo and behold, the food wasn't comped. He knocked $17 off our bill, but we still had to pay for the rest of it. As for the manager's apology? Well, the manager had told the waiter he was too busy to be bothered with us, so he never showed up. Horrible experience. Horrible manager. Food was OK, but we shouldn't have to wait an hour for it when we're the only people in the restaurant. read more

Just finished breakfast here. REALLY really good. Cute place in a little outdoor shopping area. Sat outside, which I love. I had the blueberry pancakes, and my daughter had the coconut French toast. The blueberry pancakes were VERY tasty. I think of myself as a bit of a pancake connoisseur, and these were some of the best I've had. Came out hot, with butter melting on top. That's always a good sign when the butter is melting. Nothing worse than cold or lukewarm pancakes. My daughter loved her coconut French toast. I also had fresh squeezed OJ. solid. A gem!! A freaking Gem!! Hit this place up while on a girls trip and it was so good! The coffee was spectacular ( I am a coffee snob) and the food was top notch. Great spot for a healthy lunch! Nice to sit outside on a sunny day. The tables outside were quite sticky; I asked our waitress to wipe it down twice and our menus still stuck to the table.
