rice, cucumber, and broccoli in a styrofoam container

Not the best I've had, but not the worst either. Definitely pricier for the portion compared to all the other Hainan chicken rice spots around here. It came with a small dry pieces of chicken, but I did appreciate the sauce and flavorful broth. The rice tasted more flavorful than the chicken. Service was quick and friendly, but I dont think I'd come back again when there are better options like Gai Chicken Rice What the Cluck, Rooster Rice, Hawker Fare, Good Gai's, and Stick & Steam in the area.

New favorite chicken and rice shop. I'm obsessed with the Half Naked Combo. I'm partial to the crispy half but I couldn't believe how soft and juicy the naked chicken breast was. I've never had chicken breast with that kind of texture before. Only minor complain I have is I wish they'd add soy sauce to the choice of sauces they carry. I'm not a fan of various fancy sauces (they have 4 or 5 choices) but all my coworkers seem to like them.

Thai Chicken Nuggets with rice $8

Seriously it's all about the rice! So came here in a Sunday at 2:30pm for a snack and a beer at Soma Streats. There were only 3 trucks open and they had more of what I'd rather have at that time. The nuggets were good but didn't have that much Thai basil flavor. But the rice!!! It was sooo good. Not sure what they do, but after the nuggets were gone, I kept eating the rice. Not sure what they do to the jasmine rice but it had that slightly sticky sweet flavor to it along with something else I can't identify. The lady was also so sweet and gave the rice for free with the nugget appetizer cause I asked for a side of rice. I would definitely get this again! The dipping sauce was also so good. Hope to see them at Spark Social too!

I gotta be honest the pictures drew me in and to my delight the food came out just as appealing as the photos showed. My indecisive self got the Half Naked Combo even though it was an extra dollar more, I was craving fried chicken but also really wanted to try its namesake. Let me tell you right off the bat go with the namesake, the naked chicken. The fried chicken was extremely dry and lacked taste and felt like more breading than chicken. The naked chicken was soft tender and flavorful. The jasmine rice underneath was a bit bland so highly recommend using their sauces to liven the dish up. Overall the dish was really filling and service was quick. There are also a ton of sauces to choose from.

Every bite and sip was delicious. We ordered family style and shared everything. The service was also fantastic, even though we got there late and didn't realize until the food was beginning to come out that it was last call, our server and all the other workers that came by were all so friendly and made us feel welcome. We ate quickly and boxed the rest so they could get home. What we ordered: Tom Kha soup - coconutty, creamy, a lil sour and a lil spice. Delicious. Fresh rolls - crisp and springy with lots of greens and tofu and a good peanut sauce to dip. Crispy pork belly sweet basil - the CRISP and flavor of this pork belly was to die for. Chicken larb - this was my favorite dish of the night. Heavy basil/herbs, just a little kick from the chilies, full on flavor explosion. I will be thinking of this dish for a long time haha. Beef Pad See Ew - chewy in the most delicious and favor packed way. Love pad see ew and this one was great! Pad cha scallop - Came out sizzling on a cast iron! This dish was fun and the scallops while small, were fresh and had lots of flavor. And finally, for dessert we ordered the black rice durian. It was all three of us' first time trying Durian and we loved it! Creamy and a little funky but the black rice and sauce emphasized its natural sweetness. Thank you to everyone at Saap Ver for adding to my besties birthday happiness! Can't wait to come back.

The inside of the restaurant was quite lively, even though it was pretty early in the evening. The decorations were very colorful, and the atmosphere felt lively. Service was fine, but the food did take awhile to get to us. We ended up ordering crispy pork, duck curry, pad thai, and fried rice (sorry don't remember which fried rice in particular). I think the pad thai and fried rice were a bit light in flavor, but the curry and crispy pork were really yummy! The duck curry kinda took me by surprise because of the lychee haha I wish the portions were bigger, but great taste.

We decided to share a mimosa flight, spring rolls, and ahi scoops. Even though it wasn't brunch, they still allowed us to order a brunch flight, and they were so polite and helpful throughout 4.8/5. The inside is tiny, but quite stunning, clean, and gives a lot of opportunities for insta-worthy pics 4.9/5, I only wish there had been an actual photo wall. Now to the food. The crispy spring rolls were cooked perfectly, and seasoned well. The clear noodles and veggies were so yummy. I asked for soy sauce because that's what I prefer over sweet sauce, but honestly they needed nothing 4.8/5. The ahi scoops had the best seaweed salad on it that I have EVER had, the wasabi cream on top was the show stopper, and I don't even like wasabi 5/5. We shared the flight and was more than tipsy from two drinks each, flavors on point champagne delicious 5/5. Overall

The interior is well decorated with Thai culture and with the darker tones of the design, it makes the restaurant feel quite fancy. 4.5/5 - Crispy Pork (Moo Krop) Fried Rice - Very savory fried rice dish. Spiced well and very filling. We didn't expect the pork to be cut so large and mixed into the rice, but it was very tender and easy to still eat. We would've expected the pork to be sliced maybe in half or fourths to make the dish feel like a "pork fried rice" than a fried rice + pork mix, but it still worked well and if you love pork, this will definitely be your fix! 5/5 - Pad Thai - We thought the restaurant nailed this classic noodle dish. Filling portions and did not overcook their noodles. You can taste each component of the dish, which speaks to everything not being under or overcooked. We ordered nuts on the side but you would be quite satisfied ordering this if you like pad thai! 4.5/5 - Pad Gra Prow - Appropriate veggie to beef proportion and very flavorful. Minced well and great to complement with your carb dishes (noodle or rice). We thought the dish was slightly oily but it feels well absorbed when eaten with our pad thai. If you have tried the dish before and would like it, this will be satisfactory!

#3 chicken set with Coconut dessert. $26.01 not including tip…read more There is an art to living life where the order of experiences impact each other synergistically. When it comes to food, we all already know that dessert comes last as to cleanse the palette, but what about when it comes to an arrangement like this? I was on a quest to discover the cosmic order that transcended preference. I am not a scientist, but I know when a couple meets, 1+1=4. Peanut butter + jelly are way better together instead of by themselves. There was more than to these 6 dishes served individually as they were served together to create a far greater experience. Chicken & rice is a classic combo that really transcends cultures. I ended up pouring my "Thai Massaman Peanut curry with chicken" on the rice. The rice really soaked up the juices, it was so good. Next, my mouth experienced contrast therapy. It experienced a nice sauna from the hot chicken curry and took a cold plunge from the "Central Thai-style green papaya salad". The one thing that I could not understand was the "Thai coconut mushroom soup". It was sour and really interrupted my contrast therapy. Next time, I'll figure that out. The "Sautéed Butternut Squash" you could really eat in between everything. It complimented the chicken as something savory. When I wanted a break from the chicken, I took a stab at the squash. The "Homemade Pudding" was ate at the end and it was OK. I got the Coconut, but the sugar tasted off. I am very picky with sugar, I cannot have any processed sugar, I cut that stuff out 5 years ago and life could never be better. Overall, the mystery really turned this into a 5/5 experience. The "Homemade pudding" despite being ok, still did its job of cleansing the palette. With regards to the "Thai coconut mushroom soup", I just didn't understand the art. Whoever does understand the art or who has written a book about it, please please refer it to me.
