I noticed tacos on their menu and was intrigued since I'd never tried tacos with Thai flavors before. They turned out to be absolutely delicious -- the perfect size and price point to enjoy while still leaving room to try other spots in the area. I'm honestly surprised their prices aren't higher given how close they are to both the Giants and Warriors venues. This is definitely a great stop to make before any game. read more

You call this a food truck? This is a good food truck! Spark Social is *the* place to be before a Giants game or a Valkyries (or a Warriors!) game! Much more reasonably-priced and better bang for your buck than stadium food. My friend and I both enjoyed our Crab Fried Rice Bowls (they tasted fresh and warm. Quite a bit of lettuce which made us feel better about ourselves because, hey, healthy! They also gave us more crab than I expected! Decent crab portion). We also shared Vietnamese Sticky Wings. The meal: I wanted something simple and relatively healthy, so I ordered the fire grilled chicken bowl here from the friendly crew. In about five minutes, I had before me a perfectly prepared good sized portion of char-grilled dark meat chicken chopped into several slices placed over a heaping bed of white rice, with a green salad on the side. The chicken was hot, moist and juicy but to me, it needs a bit more seasoning or kick to it. I was also hoping for some salad dressing to bring a bit of zing to the fresh salad, but there wasn't any on it. to be fair, I'll ask for dressing if I try this again. In short, it was a well prepared, but a bit bland. Maybe they just forgot to put on the vinaigrette dressing on mine.. Stumbled on Spark Beer Garden and found Wicked Star as 1 of the variety of food trucks available. We tried the Vietnamese Sticky Wings and the Thai Chicken Salad. I have been coming to spark social food truck area for the past year and I always seem to come back to wicked star. I love their lotus bowl (with oyster mushrooms) and I also love their pork belly and lime bowl but apparently you have to order it without veggies or else it's extremely hot for me but I am a wussy when it comes to hot food. The first two times I had it it was fine but the third time lit me up. Love the Thai chicken salad, it's juicy clean refreshing. But oh boy, do not ever order through DoorDash. I've placed 4 different DoorDash orders in the past year for pick up, and they never check DoorDash orders until you ask about it when pick up is due. No point in ordering ahead of time - they only pay attention to the onsite kiosk orders. Once they retrain staff I will consider increasing the rating, their Thai chicken salad is just too good. I like their white Lotus and order it a lot. The experience of ordering through their Snackpass app leaves a lot to be desired, however. The app said they opened at 11 -- they opened 15 minutes late. We only ordered the crab fried rice. It was a huge disappointment. It's worth probably a 1 "wicked" star but you always give the benefit of the doubt. The fried rice lacks flavor, not fried well enough, a bit soggy but could be the mistake of putting salad on top of the rice. Lettuce got moisture so part of the rice is wet and cold. The fried rice also lacks "wok air". If you had good fried rice before, you know what I meant. The heated smell of "frying" the rice, the aroma of the flavor of the rice steaming out from the rice. Now given some like well fried fried rice (some Chinese style are like that)and some like the moist fried rice (like the Thai fried rice), you still can smell and taste that steaming flavor in the air. This one just looked and tasted like a "dead" fried rice. The only thing they did was interesting is they added some really spicy chili. It sure gave a kick. read more

The lime that was mixed throughout the rice was not fresh and had already become bitter. The rice was also cooked on the dry side. Later that night around 9:30pm I had a crazy stomach ache/nausea and 30min later I was throwing up. I picked-up takeout from Wicked Star this weekend. Surprising to me, It is a trailer located inside Spark Social Street Food Park. Their menu features a number of Thai and Vietnamese bowls, salads, and drinks. But because of the cold weather, I had to go with the Jurassic pho. The warm broth definitely did it's job in warming me up and the flavor was definitely up to par with others I've had in the past. The thing that made this "Jurassic Pho" is that it came with a huge beef rib which was a flavorful treat to add my bowl of soup. Overall, I enjoyed my takeout experience. The food was tasty. The portions were solid. There was contactless payment and room to socially distance. I honestly wouldn't have expected to get this type of food from a trailer. Pork Belly and Lime Bowl consisted of crispy roasted pork belly, cilantro, sliced lime, Thai chili with Thai-Vietnamese fish sauce over rice and it came with a green salad in oil and vinegar. The pork belly was moist with each piece having some crispy skin on it. Good flavor especially the citrusy taste from the lime pulp mixed in. How can this place be anything less than four stars??? The portions they give you are huge! The fire grilled chicken bowl was enough for two meals, and the chicken was tender and delicious. I also love the white lotus, which is crisp, tender, and vegan without sacrificing on flavor. Their sauces are so tasty! All bowls come with a small amount of salad, which makes me feel a little less guilty about all the rice and meat and helps balance the meal. Maybe other reviewers expect less rice or something, but this is the perfect ratio for me. Service is always pretty fast, which isn't true of all the Spark Social vendors.
