Went with a group, I got their famous "Lox bagel with cream cheese". The bagel was perfectly toasted and the amount of cream cheese was to die for. The lox was creamy. One of the top 5 delis in Los Angeles. Nate 'n Al has the BEST rye bread and deli meats out of all the good delis in LA. Best pastrami, corned beef and turkey in town. Their side dishes are also amazing! Their bagels and cream cheese are not great, and their restaurant food (burgers, salads, pastas, etc.) are also not the best. The latkes are also not as good as I've had from other local delis. Get the pastrami or corned beef sandwich... maybe some chicken noodle soup and a side of potato salad (my favorite). Also they have a stuffed cabbage appetizer that is incredible! They also have surprisingly fresh fruit juices. When I order a grapefruit or orange juice, the guy goes to the back and makes it FRESH and it is really delicious. In other words, GREAT NOSH! read more

Solid deli fare. We got breakfast so bagel, eggs and corned beef scramble for my man and whitefish and egg white scramble for me. I lived in Manhattan for 9 years so I know good whitefish! Flaky and delicious, eggs not over cooked. Corned beef not overly salty. It's a deli so wait of 20 mins was standard. We walked around and came back and were seated quickly. The staff was friendly and fast. Food was hot and good. Nothing overly salty. They did not rush us out, even though there are plenty of people eyeing your seats once you finish eating. I would give them 4 stars but they get 5 stars because of their service. When I was putting cream cheese on my bagel, it flew out of my hand and onto the floor. I was sad but didn't say anything and just held on tighter to the other half of my bagel when I schmeared it with cream cheese. Five minutes later, our waiter came with a new piping hot, toasted bagel. He must have seen it from a distance! What incredible service! read more

Went here for Breakfast on Saturday, the wait was 5min, The food was good, I ordered for a black coffee with milk, when I got got the milk I requested for Hot Milk and the waitress gave me a very bad look, and after getting the cold milk I had to wait 10min for the waitress to come back again so I could ask for the Hot Milk. When I was seated the check and cash of previous group seated was still there and it took them 20min after me being seated to clear it. So though the food was good, the service was ok, and I did not like the fact that you have to pay at the cash register and not at your table. read more
