This place has gone way downhill! Nate 'n Al has been a Beverly Hills institution. It claims to have a "tradition of serving delicious meals." At this point, though meals are still served, there is very little one could describe as delicious. My family ordered matzo ball soup with chicken. We got a matzo ball, broth and a collection of chopped bones, cartilage and skin. Maybe traditional Chinese street food, but not something I can feed my kids. We also got a turkey sandwich. Continuing the theme of bones, it was bone dry. Like eating sand on dry bread. They also forgot the cheese. Maybe it evaporated. The meal was gross. Based on other experiences I've had at Nate 'n Al, I've long wondered why it maintains popularity. I guess it's tradition. read more

The food is classic, I suggest the corned beef hash and eggs. The only thing that tops the food is the service and waiters. Michelle is the woman you ask for, she's the cutest and most friendly server ever. I'll be coming back just for her read more

Best deli around. Been going here for the last 15 years and have never had something I didn't like. Best rye bread, best turkey, best corner beef, best Russian dressing, and best old dill pickles. Just visited Nate and Al's at suggestion of the valet at a nearby hotel. The atmosphere was just like a New York deli, and I'm not talking about just the decor. It felt like everyone had been coming there forever. I saw hugs from the hostess to the guests, and the staff seemed to know a good portion of the customers by name. Our server was Michelle (from New York) and she was fantastic! I was curious about a dish and she asked enough about what I liked to guide me to one of their specialities, the Reuben sandwich. It was a-may-zing. I almost pulled a Meg Ryan because of it! I would absolutely go back in a New York minute! read more

A classic! I used to come here almost every weekend. Great for groups of friends or families. I usually order scrambled eggs with a side of bacon and hash browns. Their hash browns are what every other restaurant should aspire to. I also appreciate the pickles they bring out before the food. read more

Pro'ly the best deli in LA. If it were open later, I'd come here more often. Great corned beef, the best fresh OJ, and it feels like a real deli (still not comfortable calling Jerry's a deli). it's an awesome deli and as soon as we walked in the hostess greeted us with a beautiful smile, I have to say she's so pretty and she is polite. Literally made me feel like I was at home! What an oasis of comfort among pretentious surroundings. The people, the food, the décor - all wonderful. This review is to thank Denise Lea for her exceptional skill and caring for her customers. She packs full service in every step, she is aware of every customer and seems to provide what they need before they are aware they need it! There was a toddler at the next table, his Dad insisted that he loves beans and ordered chili, Denise brought a little taster of chili and of course the little guy hated it, she then suggested lentil soup and the child licked his bowl. Funny, she didn't look old enough to have the wisdom of a Grandma. We can't wait for our next trip to LA and sit in her section! read more

Don't get the burgers. Close your eyes and you could be eating anything or nothing. No flavor. Slow service, not worth 25 minutes wait.
