Easily one of my favorite Jewish delis in LA and definitely my favorite in Beverly Hills. As you would guess they have a huge menu filled with tons of options which is one of my favorite things about delis. Inside is large with tons of different booths as well as a large bakery area where you can get all sorts of baked goods to go. They don't have a dedicated parking lot however there is an underground parking garage on the same block with first 2 hours free parking. Our server was polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. Just like most delis I would say pricing is more than it should be though. There's something ultra comforting about Nate & Al's - unchanged in Beverly Hills for decades. Tufted booths, laminate tables, friendly staff and great food. We had errands to run this AM in town so we stopped here for breakfast. I had a solid classic: scrambled eggs with pastrami, the crispiest hash brown potatoes and an onion bagel. Coffee is a little meh - but the food, the service and the atmosphere are all spot on. Hubby had a veggie omelette and he loved it too. It's not a delicatessen, it's a diner. Pretty average one at that. The old deli counter just has a few things in it, and nothing looks fresh. The sit-down diner food is nothing special, just the same old Sysco food delivery stuff you'd get at any average diner in any city. I miss the old Nate'n Al's. I have been coming to this wonderful landmark restaurant for years and yesterday. My wife and I were there for the very first time post Covid. Apparently the original owners sold and although it has been remodeled to look nicer, it's just lipstick on a pig.. Breakfast menu has been cut up considerably and when you ask for hashbrowns with cheese, which is their signature, hashbrowns and no longer is on the menu. Also, as far as service I had to keep turning my head in order for me to get a cup of coffee when I remember that there are always men going up and down the isles, making sure that we had decaf or regular served immediately. Made a nose is a staple, but right now it is just a shell of a restaurant. It's unfortunate due to Covid that so many landmarks across our great country have been taken out of business and this is one of them yesterday when I was given my breakfast, although the egg white omelette was very good, I had a thin crust of hashbrowns and one I mean thin, I mean paper thin . I have no idea what their interpretation of hashbrowns are compared to even an IHOP restaurant. I hope the restaurant tries to learn from what has made this restaurant that they purchased iconic and goes back to the norm. I will say that the ambience of the restaurant is nice, but I will tell you that all the servers that were there for decades are no longer there and there are these young children. I was in the neighborhood and recognized Nate'n Al's from the news. I have to admit I had never previously heard of the Beverly Hills staple, and was happy to see another famous spot come back from some early COVID shut down struggles. I'm a big fan of delis that still do pastrami and corned beef sandwiches like you get in New York so I was happy to try it. I ordered the Canon, which comes with Pastrami, Corned Beef, Cole slaw and cheese with Russian dressing. I don't think it was quite as good as the famous #19 from Langer's #19 but it was still really tasty and hit the spot. Also took home some solid everything bagels and cream cheese. All in all a very good experience and will definitely be back for a pastrami fix if I'm in the neighborhood. read more

Nate n Al's become one of the biggest disappointments in the neighborhood. Not only will they deliver you cold soup, half the portion size of the original pastrami sandwich they consistently will screw the order up that's what you can look forward to the new Nate n Al's. I'm sorry, but the new people who bought this place were not in the preservation business they were in the upsell business and that is all you will get higher prices and below subpar food. This is not what it used to be and it never will be. LA deli experience has diminished drastically with Label's Tables gone there really isn't anything in the area noteworthy. read more

I come here ALL the time and always have the most amazing experience. Today they sent me out the wrong turkey sandwich and I kindly asked to have it changed. My waiter said his manager said they would have to charge me for both (the one that was not correct, and the one that I wanted) I asked to speak to the manger and he was SO RUDE. Excellent food. We had a group of eight and had great service. Place had a friendly vibe. We bought bakery items to go.

I'm only here to provide a review for the food. My family and I went to look at the holiday lights and while roaming around the city my 2 yr old worked up an appetite. So we decided to try out this establishment. It wasn't busy, and they greeted us and sat us right away. Very friendly. However, the food itself was so horrible that I just wanted to get out of there. I had a burger and it was so tasteless and blah that I didn't even finish it. My husband had the brisket sandwich which was dry and when asked for bbq sauce they said they charge $1 and they didn't even end up bringing it. At that point my husband and I were over it and ready to leave. Now, my 2 yr old had butter pasta, which was just spaghetti pasta tossed with butter, that too was very flavorless and the noodles were so sticky. Needless to say it was a waste of $71 on a horrible family meal. read more

What a disappointment. I had a craving for Matzo Ball Soup and Bagel Chips. I saw that this classic establishment was on Uber Eats and got excited to give it a try since it's been on my list for awhile. Sadly, this is the absolute worst Matzo Ball Soup that I have had anywhere in the country. The broth was flavorless and tasted mostly like water - zero chicken flavor. The Matzo Ball and carrots were also bland since the broth was watery, plus the bagel chips were also mediocre. Hello! These are deli staples! How did you get it so wrong??? Finally, I ordered a piece of chocolate pie and it looked more like a ball of mush than a slice of pie. My first time ever visiting and it was a pleasant experience. Michelle was stellar with just the right bit of sass and sarcasm. They are open for indoor seating. I had the pastrami on sourdough. The pastrami was warm and juicy, but the bread was incredibly dry. I had to load up each bite with the yummy mustard in order to be able to properly swallow. The pastrami goodness outweighed the dry bread. I went with the macaroni salad as a side because I was craving that tangy mustard pasta mouth-feel. It did not disappoint! Probably now one of my favorite macaroni salads. The Turkey Club was huge! The side of fries couldn't even fit on the plate with it. Fresh ingredients, nice cool sandwich for the warmer day outside. The Cobb Salad was also good. I did have a bit of sticker shock on the pricing overall, but it's pretty standard for the luxuriousness of the area. I had wanted to try the stuffed cabbage, which was one of the family style dinner items, but priced per person at $26.95, I skipped it. Bought a burger and the Westwood sandwich. Had it delivered. The bread for the sandwich was very hard. I got steak fries with the burger and they tasted old and they were also hard. I spent about 80$ just to throw everything away. However, The burger was good. Maybe it's a place to eat your food on site rather than delivery. read more

Ordered delivery from here so I can't speak to the service or ambiance inside the restaurant. Matzo ball soup, latkes and coleslaw were bland. Even the applesauce that came with the latkes was bland - I didn't know that was possible. Honey maple turkey sandwich was good but they charge extra to include lettuce and tomatoes ($1 for each). Not sure if this is just for delivery orders but either way these items should be considered standard with any sandwich, especially one that costs $19 to start. Nate and Al's, opened in 1945 unfortunately closed permanently on Sunday Night, March 29th, 2020, a victim of slow business from the Corona Virus. But the original family bowed out of this restaurant approximately 2 years ago and it was purchased by some entertainers that loved it. But with all restaurants, to be very successful, especially in a high rent location like Beverly Hills, you need to live it and love it and be there full time. Absentee owners make for mediocre restaurants. It's a very hard working business and as Yelpers know the ones that do it great all the time are in the minority. Nate and Al's was set to close this June of 2020 anyway I was told, the new absentee owners not willing to invest more in it nor work in it, just that the Virus accelerated that closure. I will miss the Chicken in the Pot--one of their best dishes and one that helped me through many Viruses. read more

This place lost me on all accounts. Customer service - 1/10 and the food - 3/10. To start off the experience, I was ignored for quite awhile after being seated. I had to flag down the server myself after an absurdly long wait just to get my order in. Then, as once I got my food the pastrami may have been the most tender pastrami I have ever had, but it was also a one note flavor. There were no spices to it, not even a good black peppery taste. I also couldn't do anything to doctor it to make it better either. I tried both mustards available to me that were on the table, and had to flag down the server again just to get the free pickles they hand out when you sit down. Nothing helped. Even with mustard and pickle, the flavor was flat. Then, the steak fries... also no flavor. Kinda crispy, but nothing. Not even salt. Trying to salt those and drowning them in ketchup did nothing. The flavor just became salty ketchup. After finishing only 1/2 the sandwich and a handful of fries, and having the plate on the other side of the table for a good 10 mins, I had to flag the server down again to get the bill. Bummed because the place smelled AMAZING as I was walking by and that's what drew me in. Just super disappointing for an LA deli. read more

Had this one bookmarked for a while and finally tried it for the first time and hopefully there will be many more visits in the future. Parking- we were able to park in a large structure down the street for free (I believe the first 2 hrs are free) and it was maybe a 5 min walk to get there that was enjoyable due to the people watching, the atypical stores you pass, and even the cars parked or driving around were fun to look at First Impression- it has an old-school no frills decor where it looks like it has looked the same for decades; the hostess had a bubbly personality and made a positive impression; the wait staff were working hard since it is probably busy consistently and it was busy on the day we visited; we sat next to the section where we believe the waitress that has been there for something like 40 yrs but our waitress was pleasant Food- they provide you with complimentary pickles when you sit down and they were delicious and we asked for another plate (I am not even a huge fan of pickles); we got the pastrami sandwich and The Brentwood (beef brisket) and they were great; the sides of potato salad and macaroni salad were solid too (macaroni was better though) *the prices seem a bit high read more
