We're northerners (Ohio) who met up with Southern (Georgia) family for lunch. Cherokee is so much more chill than Gatlinburg, which is an absolute nightmare, but that's a review of a different sort Ü We decided on Native Brews because of the positive reviews...and they weren't lyin'! Both the inside and outside seating areas were packed, but our server juggled her section with ease. She was very attentive with refills, etc. We ordered the deep fried deviled eggs to share, and the chef delivered them himself! He also brought out our lunch and chatted with us about the sauces (which are homemade in-house) and also the brewery which is still being constructed. All in all, it was an excellent experience and we will definitely stop back the next time we're down. read more

Native Brews was a disappointment after reading the good reviews. I will skip it the next time in Cherokee. The food is so so, not bad but not good either. I didn't feel well after eating it either so maybe it wasn't cooked properly. I ordered a burger and fries. Service was nonexistent. I'm not sure where my waitress disappeared but I waited and waited for the check. The manager had to go find my waitress although I am not sure why he didn't just cash me out. read more

Went on a Saturday night and it wasn't too busy. Was seated immediately but waited about 10-15 minutes before a server came to our table. Atmosphere was good, wish it had been warmer to sit outside. Now about the food!!! OMG. Best dinner I have had out in a long time. I got the stuffed chicken with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The chicken was perfect, great flavor, cooked perfectly. While we waited for a table I got a cosmo from the bar and it was $12 which shocked me, but it was a really good one. I just wish it was better priced cause I would have ordered more of them. We got the bruschetta and fried pickles as our starters. The bruschetta was not very good. I knew it was gonna be different than regular bruschetta because they make it with artichoke instead of onions and we like artichoke, but it was not good at all. The fried pickles on the other hand were very good! The sauce with them was like a chipotle ranch and it was very tasty. My fiancé got the ribeye with broccoli and the garlic mashed potatoes. He said the ribeye was good and cooked well. The broccoli and mashed potatoes were bland though. He said the broccoli just tasted like unseasoned steamed broccoli and the potatoes tasted like they were from a box also unseasoned. I had the herb and cheese stuffed chicken with the baked potato and Mac n cheese. I was forgetting to take pictures this time immediately when the food came to us, but when this got to us I was confused because the chicken was DOUSED in this cheese sauce that tasted like Tostitos queso dip. No where in the description did it say it was topped with anything just that it was stuffed with herb cheese. After I scraped that cheese sauce off the best I could the chicken was actually pretty good. The stuffing for it was amazing. The baked potatoe was good (pretty hard to mess one of those up lol). And the Mac n cheese was just cheese and noodle really not really seasoned any but it was okay. I got the brownie a la mode for dessert. The best thing all night besides my cosmopolitan. When you think of bar and grill with a love band that's definitely the vibe here. There was a live band playing sets and they were pretty good. Our cups never ran dry. I had the hamburger and crinkly fries. They have 3 different meats that make up the patty. It really was a good burger without a weird flavor. My husband had the rice, chicken and broccoli. He said it was great. They used a different seasoning on the meat. Their tea is fresh and flavorful. Thanks for making our lunch a nice one. We stop here on the tail end of a family trip taking the long way home from Gatlinburg back to Charlotte. They were busy but we were seated quickly in their outdoor dining area that was nice and open. Our service came over quickly and answered our questions. He was friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered the coconut caramel beer and my dad ordered the Swamp Water stout. We also sampled the vanilla cream and oatmeal porter. All of the beers were great. The vanilla cream tasted like cream soda! We also ordered the bruschetta appetizer which was delicious. My parents split the nachos and I ordered the bourbonzola burger. The nachos were perfectly layered with toppings. The burger was fantastic. Yelp was the way that we found this place. We wanted to eat fresh mountain caught trout. The pecan encrusted trout was absolutely amazing. We were seated with only a short wait at lunch time. We have come here specifically to have the green chilie cheeseburger. They NEVER disappoint. I'm from the southwest ( New Mexico) it is hard to get a good chilie cheese burger even if you can find them. The staff were amazing and kind and efficient. GREAT place if your ever in the area. We have coming to Cherokee, N.C since our honeymoon and seen the changes. It's nice to know there still small independent places here away from the Casino that care about their clientele and can give them another choice to eat , have good time in the back patio and serve outstanding food. We also had the brownie a la mode, which we received on the house because it was our daughter's birthday. The brownie was super yummy and gooey. The only thing this place has going for it, is its location. Some wait staff is nice but others are rude. For eg I wanted to check the gift shop out (while waiting for a table) and this worker was just in my way (blocking) fully knowing I'm trying to get in and only moved when I said excuse me. And then when my daughter wanted to join me in the gift shop to look at clothes he had the audacity to scream that kids are not allowed cuz there's beer in fridges at the gift shop. I'm giving this place a 5 stars based on the fact that it's a brewery and not a 5 star high-end restaurant. The prices are reasonable, a bit high but it's in a tourist town and everything is more expensive these days. We ate inside as it was very cold. The outside dining looks like a nice option on a good weather day. Our waitress was great and very personable. Hubby started with a beer from their brewery, coconut ale, that was just all right. He prefers a darker beer but chose to try one of their brews instead. I had a "sex in the river" which was good but light on alcohol. Food was good. Hubby had beef pot roast which was flavorful and hearty on a cold night. The green beans that were served with it were excellent, thin and cooked perfectly. I had a garden salad and homemade chips. The portion sizes are big and I could only eat half of each. Our waitress asked if I wanted ranch with the chips. Evidently, I would be charged .50 if I ordered it afterwards. It was nice of her to ask. The chips (and all sides) were $7 but very good, worth it, and easily shareable. The salad was very fresh with a nice mix of greens, large carrots, red onions, cucumbers, and a lot of shredded cheese on top. Overall, we were very pleased with our meal. Yummy local spot, that hits the spot. Super plus, it's native and woman owned. Cousins and I dropped through for lunch on our way out from hiking the Smokies. It was a popular spot as the parking lot was quite full. The staff from seating to service was so kind and attentive. Someone was always checking in on us, or just making sure we were squared away. We decided to sit outside because it was a nice day and there were plenty of picnic tables with several outdoor games (checkers, cornhole, ring game). We played the ring game, while we waited on our orders. The food came out pretty quickly and we were shocked at the portions. The colossal pretzel was a good shareable size for three people. It also came with a super smooth beer cheese and flavorful mustard. Each of us ordered our own entrees and we were stuffed after sharing the app and our own meals. My cousin also ordered the warrior pale ale, which was nice and refreshing after our hike. It was a filling meal that was also tasty. At the end we all made a stop through the gift shop, which sold merch (tshirts, beer glasses, hats, stickers, etc) and 6 packs of a few of their local brews. You can even sample a few of their flavors on tap. We were hoping to bring home some shandys, but they hadn't gotten those bottled yet. Will have to come back when they do! Was expecting more flavor but I had to dip it in ketchup and mustard to really find anything palatable. My fries seemed old, squishy and not the most warm. Our waitress was also a bit of a letdown. I would say her name but that would require her to tell us what it was. The selection of draft beers were not that great in our groups opinion. One in our party asked if they carried any sours and the waitress very rudely and quickly said "no". We were all surprised by her quick and not so kind response that we all thought about leaving if it meant that's the kind of service we'd receive. I was going to order a beer but by the time I decided, she wasn't around and our food had already come out. Overall I would personally like to come back and try it again but the rest in our group said they don't want to. read more
