Came here the day after thanksgiving. The place was dead, maybe 10 tables full total. Only one staff member in the entire restaurant. Our wings took over 45 minutes. Drinks weren't refilled ever, and our party's burger was served with no condiments, even after we asked for them. read more

The food is terrible bar food. Total lack of creativity and poorly made. The queso and pork is disgusting. The cheese and pork are out of bags. The sliders are terrible. The meat blend is poor quality and the preparation is terrible, over cooked the patty. The bun was grilled dry??? So it tasted like burnt toast. The breading on the onion rings is that terrible rough crunchy batter rather than a smooth beer batter. The chicken strippers were literally the worst chicken strips I've had. The buffalo sauce lacked flavor and the breading was soggy. Just awful food. read more

This is my neighborhood walk-to bar and grill - I really like the happy hour here. It runs 3 to 7 every day and drink specials all day Saturday. Early on the week days, service can be a bit slow, but extra staff starts around 3:30. I like the flat-bread appetizers and, of course, the wings. Lots of wing options! They have an appetizer and two entree special that is a nice deal. The rest of the menu is pretty standard sports grill fare with a few new ideas mixed in. The bar has many flat-screen TVs for your sports needs, and Buzztime trivia and poker to keep your brain busy. There is outdoor seating with a view of South Mountain around the bar area. For the family or little league gathering, the dining area is large and comfortable. And one thing I really think is cool...the manager walks the floor and talks with the customers. You don't find that at enough places these days. read more

Our server was not trained well, wings came out slightly warm if not cool in temperature. Our one pound boneless chicken wings where of two clearly different quantities and our server argued with me that they were the same. Drinks were left empty and the food made both of us sick to our stomachs one hour after eating. The table behind us had similar complaints. I will not be visiting again. read more

Excellent service from Laura tonight who did a great job. When you have a tough day and really want to unwind having someone provide excellent service with a friendly smile and great attitude helps turn the day around. She was the highlight of a very tough day and seeing her smile was a turning point. The three martini's that followed didn't hurt either! Ordered the stripper chicken (boneless wings basically) with two flavors followed by a burger we split with potato chips. The service was good from the server after she finally warmed up to us but the management is horrible. He was prejudice against us vs another table because of age and sports fans. Other table was an older couple upset be we wanted the sound on and were being loud when watching football in a sports bar on Sunday. Ludicrous he was never polite and nothing but irritated w us. **UPDATE**A less-than-pleasant experience superbly addressed by restaurant management--all the way up to the owner!** Summary: After over a week of restaurant management diligently pursuing contact in order to resolve my issue (see below), I was surprised to receive a call directly from the owner. After returning his call directly to his mobile phone, I am confident that restaurant management is taking this opportunity to learn from some missteps as they grow their offerings and provide outstanding services to customers. I appreciate the restaurant owner's prompt and careful attention to resolving this matter! They have far exceeded my expectations! I am confident that they are doing everything possible in order to ensure that their staff are trained to handle similar matters; that their vendors are providing services as-promised; and that, above all else, customers are treated with care and the utmost respect while being served excellent meals. After my experience with Native Grill & Wings on New Year's Day (see below), I was intent on never eating at the restaurant again. I was glad to find that a refund was processed to my account, saving me the headache of contacting my bank to submit a claim. With the refund, my husband and I had resolved to put this matter behind us. Angela, the GM, was extremely diligent. She contacted me via Yelp, Facebook, and by phone, apologizing profusely for my experience and offering to make things right. I did return her call once, only speaking with a restaurant staff member who informed me that she had left for the day. At that point, we had committed to ignoring future calls. We figured that this was neither worth our time nor a few free wings. And then I received a voice message from a person claiming to be the owner of the restaurant. He left his cell phone number to return the call. I incredulously waited until after-hours to return the call and was surprised to find that, indeed, it was the direct line to the owner. We had an open dialog and he was extremely understanding of my frustrations, at times articulating them better than I could. I appreciated his honesty in describing the company's learnings as they experience growing pains in the effort to provide additional services to customers. As a person who has experience running a small business, I could fully empathize with him. In the end, I was left with the impression that he would personally see that this never happened again, which satisfied me more than any discounts or offerings could. We will continue to support the restaurant by remaining customers! Many thanks to Angela for her diligence in rectifying this matter. ________________________________________________ Summary: They failed to arrive with my order for delivery. Refused to refund my money. And when I asked them to reprocess the order for pickup (my $104 order for my family and our guests had been sitting for over 35 min by that time), they required that I PURCHASE IT ALL OVER AGAIN. I swear--I could not possibly make this up. I am now out $104 with no food and no recourse through the restaurant. I ordered a large meal for delivery totaling in $104 on their website at http://order.nativegrillandwings.com/. The delivery was confirmed for 7:01 PM, 51 minutes from the time of order. When 7 PM came around, I clicked on the link to get the status of my order. There was an error that stated "Delivery: Oh no! Something went wrong. Please call us." with the phone number to the restaurant. I called the restaurant and was told that they outsource the delivery service to a third party and that the status they had for the order was "canceled by dispatcher". They had no additional information. By that time, the food had been sitting in the restaurant for over 35 minutes and the manager told me that it probably had been sitting too long for pickup. I asked for them to re-cook the order so that I could pick up. The manager placed me on hold to call the GM. When she returned to the call, she informed me that I would have to repurchase the order altogether in order for her to have it re-submitted and that my original order would not be refunded... a $104 order. She offered to give me a discount on some fries or wings for my trouble. I honestly am still in complete disbelief at the option I was offered. My go to, my local. I come back for the staff, great people, many have become good friends. If you want to watch the game it's a great place to go, food is good, a little salty sometimes but overall fantastic, great service. Both family and bar goers friendly. We've always enjoyed coming here especially during fight nights. However, bartenders are rude. It may have been a slight misunderstanding but there was no reason for the girl to be rude and to speak to me in a condescending manner. As I apologized and walked away, I happened to turn around to witness her rolling her eyes and shaking her head while muttering a rude remark. My family and I go there all the time! Great ambiance, great food, and great customer service! The wait staff is very friendly and having been there so many times have gotten to know the owners. Theu are very nice people. My standard is the Stripper Platter with Honey Hot Sauce. My only complaint is that there are no carrots served with the wings. Highly disappointed. I've frequented this native for over ten years and have thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Ever since they remodeled and renamed to 'native' they have gone extremely downhill. Experience 1- ordered take out and they forgot the fries. They wanted me to drive back up with all my food to prove there were no fries in the bag. I guess I should have cleared my family's plates and repack the food to 'prove' I wasn't lying. I just spent over a $100 in wings, I'm not lying about a $1 basket of fries. Experience 2- my family was in town and we decided to get wings. We ordered 40 wings as well as drinks and apps. The waiter brought a small portion of wings. I said, this isn't 40. He said we could count as we eat and they'll bring out any they had forgotten. I counted and there were 20. I promptly notified my waiter. Then the manager came out and insisted on counting the wings. They brought the wings eventually but had successfully ruined my dining experience. Experience 3- 4 adults and 2 children in my party. Wait staff advised they would combine two tables for us. After we haul the crew and kids to the back, the manager said in a very rude tone, we will not accommodate your group. I don't know if this was because we had two kids or because we had a lesbian couple with us. Either way, completely unacceptable. We would have completely understood if we couldn't be seated at that time. Due to the three experiences above, I will never dine here again. It's a shame because it used to be such a cool casual place. Now the management is absolutely atrocious and believe the customer is always wrong. I have spent large sums of money in this establishment and will be taking my patronage to a restaurant that appreciates their customers. read more

Been come to Native New Yorker (old name) since the early 80's. They were always famous for their cheap and excellent wings. With franchising cost is always more important to the business. Gruff attitudes, slow service and lousy food aren't down to the employees, they're down to lousy managers! A pet peeve: order, wait, and wait, and then, when it arrives, it's cold! We come here twice a month with friends and to every UFC event. Food is a steady C- to D +, but never great. Tonight we had a familiar friendly server and were glad she had our table. Everything was great until we placed our wing order. First words out of my mouth " ALL WINGS HAVE TO BE COOKED EXTRA CRISPY PLEASE". If not, the wings come out reheated & barely warm. So if we're going to eat precooked chicken we should be able to get them extra crispy like we ordered and hot. Not 1 of the 15 wings were extra crispy. Ordered 3 different sliders and each were dry and disgusting, maybe rewarmed in a microwave, upgraded side to onion rings for $ 1.99 for 6 rings, 2 the size of a quarter. Server didn't come back to check on us for a while so we started eating. When she came back I told her we were disappointed and she apologized but we never saw a manager. We gave her back half of the wings $ 5.00 worth but received no credit towards our check. Not sure if server missed EXTRA CRISPY or kitchen. Not the first time here but the last for us. read more

I ordered a dozen BBQ wings, when I got home there was little to no sauce on them. I drove all the way back (36 weeks pregnant) and they had an excuse that 'that's how they make them.' I've had wings there before and it's hit or miss. They either don't put any sauce or they do. Definitely never going back. If I'm paying for wings I expect sauce and not just fried chicken with a dab of sauce. read more
