I haven't been to a Texas Roadhouse since before Covid. This pandemic has really changed things, because the waiting area is no longer a barn with free peanuts in barrels while waiting for the table. And since when did we have to have every body in the party before being seated?! I ordered an herb crusted chicken. Unfortunately, it came out juicy but very salty. I wasn't the only person and the main person in my party, so I didn't want to make a scene and send the food back. Another flaw was one of the sides didn't come with the rest of the food, and the server acknowledged but forgot about it until we reminded her. Overall, it was a meal. When I come to Texas Roadhouse, my boots walk in with a swagger. They know me here. In fact, if you mention my name, there's a 10% chance you'll get 10¢ off and a 90% chance they'll throw you out. The prices at Texas Roadhouse are low compared to other steakhouses, which contribute to their popularity. Their fresh-baked dinner rolls are probably their post popular item and it's easy to stuff yourself on it before your meal even arrives. Kids were able to get us on list and we were able to get a table as we walked in. I thought it was at full capacity and was I wrong! We were just at pre prime time. I've have given up on the Roadhouse. The quality of the meat isn't what it used to be, and the Prime Rib I had tonight was horrible. It was so soaked in liquid smoke that that's all you could taste. Just a salty liquid smoke flavor on the meat, and more than 1/4 of the 16oz cut was one huge chunk of fat that should have been trimmed off . Besides the quality of the food the biggest complaint about the evening was a couple of tables with small screaming babies, and young children. I watched my 85 year old mother shake every time one of the kids let out a yell or a cry. This was her birthday, but we couldn't wait to get out of the restaurant. We didn't even wait for the free ice cream, because the 2 kids started a screaming contest yet again. I'll find a new place for prime rib, and I will stick to Longhorn for my steaks going forward. The food from Texas Roadhouse always hits the spot and its always pretty consistent. What changes, is the service you receive from its employees. We stopped by for lunch on Sunday and it was our first time at this location. It was around 2:30pm and thankfully is was not busy as there was no one waiting. We were seated right away and the host was nice. Our server came over a few minutes after we sat down and he quickly told us that he would be back in a few minutes. Those few minutes turned into about 20 minutes....... He was busy running around and he finally made it over to us. We were parched, we had eaten all our bread, and were ready to order our meals. He took our orders and off he went. The drinks came out a few minutes after that and he brought us more bread. After that, we didn't really see him anymore. Our food was brought out by another employee and that employee asked us if we needed anything else. We asked him for ranch and he never brought it to us and our server was MIA. However, after the treatment we received yesterday, that tradition has come to an end. Our party of 11 arrived before the restaurant opened to ensure we could be seated during a less busy window. We were missing one member of our group due to a personal emergency, and we were informed we could not be seated until the entire party arrived. While we respected the policy, our final guest arrived only 15 minutes later. Despite being complete, we were made to wait an additional 15 minutes before being led to our seats. The seating arrangements provided were unacceptable. We were directed to two small booths, which typically accommodate four people comfortably, and told we had to fit six people into one. When I observed several open tables that could have easily accommodated a group of our size more comfortably, I requested a move. I was told flatly that there were no other options. The situation escalated when I sought management assistance: Justin (Service Manager): Was dismissive and stern, offering no solutions and simply stating, "It is what it is." Brian Warren (District Manager/Market Partner): When I reached out to the contact provided at the front of the store, the experience worsened. Mr. Warren offered no apology and doubled down on the "zero tolerance" policy regarding incomplete parties. Most shockingly, when I informed him I would be escalating this to the corporate office, he replied that corporate would simply email him, he would call me back, and he would tell me "the exact same thing." As a loyal customer of 20 years, I expected a level of hospitality that matches the "legendary" service Texas Roadhouse claims to provide. Instead, we were met with rigidness and a complete lack of empathy from the local leadership. While I understand that one family's departure may not significantly impact your bottom line, I want it known that you have lost a long-term customer and an advocate for your brand. Man, Texas Roadhouse used to "hit" every time. The last 2-3 visits have been subpar. Our usuals are layered fries, chicken fried chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes with cream gravy and chicken critters with house salad with fries and ranch. Like top tier fried meal, not good for ya cuz it sticks to your ribs but makes you happy meal? That's what it used to be. Fast forward to giving it another try today. We get in around 2pm. They are busy, which usually is a good sign. We ordered our usual as stated above, minus the cheese fries and instead of green beans, got their Mac n cheese(completely gross. Wow. Idk what that was. Wanted to try something new, nope.) and two half cut iced teas and extra lemon. We had to ask FOUR times for lemons. Four times, I'm not even joking, 3 times to our server and one to the guy who dropped off our food and asked if we needed anything else? Yes, please, lemon. Do I need to pay extra to the lemon gods to get some? Thank god the guy asked if we needed anything else because she didnt even check on us after we got our food. Only when she noticed we weren't eating any more. It still took at least another 3-5 minutes to get the lemon that was dropped off by our server. No "sorry about that! Completely forgot." We totally get stuff happens and it's easy to forget things but she really just clearly did not care. Do better. She didn't deserve anything near a 20% tip but I also believe people have bad days. Yikes! Not sure what was going on tonight. I ordered takeout out Burger and fries. Simple enough, right? I went to pick my order up no one was at takeout window for about 10 min and I had to go inside and ask for assistance. Once, someone came to assist me she had me my bag with gloves on that had butter all over her gloves therefore on my bag. When I asked for napkins she said they didn't have any. Fine, I went home to eat my burger. It was cold, salty, the bun tasted weird. The fries were also cold. I was spoiled with Texas Roadhouse for Mother's Day dinner. I absolutely love Texas Roadhouse, especially their rolls . My partner made a reservation online, knowing it would be busy. It stated a 40-50 min wait. Upon arriving we checked in and we were notified if would be an additional 30-40 minutes. It was PACKED!!! After an additional 50 min of waiting we where sent a text letting us know we were next in line, which we were then ushered into the crowded lobby to wait another 20 minutes. If we would have had an idea it would be a few hour wait, we probably would have went else where. I will say the wait was worth it, as the food was tasty. My partner and I shared a mom margarita, as it was a huge and VERY strong! We also ordered the snakebites as an appetizer, alongside 2 steak dinners with ribs and Mac and cheese kids meal for our daughter. One thing about TRH, they know how to cook a steak to PERFECTION!! All of our food was delicious, fresh and hot, making it a perfect mamas day dinner.
