"Is this place worth it?" YES. Point blank, period, YES. Menu is short and small, but man was…read moreeverything good. My table ordered family style and got to try most of the menu. We started with the Baby Gem Caesar and Parm Fries. Then we moved on to the Fritto Misto, Insalata di Mare, and Roasted Octopus. All great starters! For our entrees, we went with the Prime Ribeye and Squid Ink Chitarra. The steak was cooked to perfection and the pasta tasted so fresh! Absolutely loved everything we ordered. Aside from the food, the drinks, the decor, the ambiance -- everything is just to die for. The only thing to note is that, while you're waiting for your table and its busy, there's not really anywhere to wait. We ended up standing outside in the hotel hallway for what seems like forever because the bars and tabletops were all taken up along with the waiting tables. So, just have some patience.

It is ALWAYS a good practice to ask the server for dessert recs because odds are, they're going to suggest something you'd never consider and thank goodness she did. She suggested the Pistachio Ricotta Torta and the amaretto cookie gelato, so we got both of those as well as some chocolate gelato. I am not typically an amaretto girlie, but that gelato was arguably the best I've ever had. Never had anything like it before, truly phenomenal. The chocolate was great too, really some of the better gelato I've had, but that amaretto cookie flavor with the little cookie pieces... truly DIABOLICAL!!!! The torta was also so delicious!!

What a wonderful find!!…read more I took my mom to a Rays game for Mother's Day & we decided to grab some lunch first. After a quick search on Yelp, we landed on The Library. Everything about this restaurant was 5 stars. The service, the seating, the food, the ambiance. Everything! Highly recommend if you're in the area. :)

Great experience with a twist!…read more Food 8.0 Vibe 8.9 Service 8.7 Overall 8.4 This place definitely has his own theme and vibe and it sticks to it. A straightforward menu gives a decent variety and the chef delivered on the flavor. We had the egg Benedict the Gudda grits, and the (not so) French toast. Overall, the food was delicious, but I was extremely disappointed with the "French toast" for some reason, the chef opted for not doing an egg/milk bath for their French toast, which to me is a grave mistake, who wants to dry French toast? This liberty could be excused, and tolerable for the sake of creativity and innovation, IF it was openly, shared on the menu, or by the server. However, this came to a COMPLETE surprise to me AFTER ordering and receiving it. I've never had DRY French toast, nor do I ever wish to again despite the tasty toppings and well executed cinnamon butter cream, it was still not an enjoyable experience, especially if you're expecting classic French toast. That said the eggs Benedict was phenomenal. The pork is perfectly cooked. The biscuits are light and fluffy. And the sauce was immaculate. The Gudda grits surprise me while not being creamy in the same way of grit, I've had in the past, these retained their grit structure, but it kind of melted in your mouth, providing that creamy texture and they add chopped bacon and a sweet I would guess type of reduction in just the right amount to balance the flavor of the Gudda. I do wish they had sausage and hash browns. But it's not that kind of place. My last complaint would be in the potatoes that come with the Benedict. Whatever other option, they have picked those get anything, but those ours came undercooked, and they refried them for us, and they still were just below average which for a place like this. I expected more. Overall, not a bad place. The coffee was phenomenal. I had a dirty Matcha, and it was perfectly executed. Prices aren't terrible for what you'd expect from downtown St Pete at a fancy place, so I was happy. Service was good and friendly. After I expressed my dissatisfaction with the French toast, the manager came over and offered his apologies and remove the item from my bill, even offered to bring us something else, and to have a beverage to go to make up for it. However, I was at the end of our mail and I was ready to get going with the rest of my day, so I said thank you and we departed. Overall, I will not come back for French toast but that eggs Benedict. I would definitely come back and try something else as well. Give it a shot. Just DONT get the French toast. If you like normal French toast.

It was delicious and so was the mustard it came with. My partner usually doesn't like mustard but he said this one complimented the sausage well. We started with the crispy pork belly, which looked a little on the drier side when it arrived but don't let that fool you, the brown sugar bourbon glaze it was dressed in was delicious. Really enjoyed it as a starter. The tavern burger came highly recommended as one of their best dishes, and while it was a good burger, it didn't quite blow us away. Surprisingly mild on flavor despite the toppings, and it's a BIG boy... which I know some people love, but I tend to prefer a smash burger so I'll take partial responsibility for that note! The fries, however, were excellent... textured, crispy, exactly how fries should be. The real standout of the visit was the chilaquiles (the chef's brunch special). It ran a little dry, but the flavors more than made up for it. The combination of crunchy tortilla chips, smoky sauce, pickled onions, egg, avocado, and cilantro all together was just so good... my boyfriend was equally obsessed. Would absolutely order again. Service was great and overall had a really enjoyable visit... Stillwaters continues to deliver a solid experience and I'll keep coming back!

I do remember we tried the Bad Bunny and the Paloma, but I ended up switching to regular margaritas which were well done. I docked 1 star for food simply because the menu is pretty small, but I loved the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich and my dinner date liked their salad. The menu is fairly limited, but their house-made pastas are out of this world! I had one of their specials featuring pasta and airline chicken, which was excellent. My friend ordered another pasta dish, her husband had the fish special and my husband ordered the filet, which was cooked perfectly for him. Portions are on the smaller side, but still very filling. My husband and I each started with a Caesar salad. I forgot to ask for it without anchovies, and they gave the salad a very strong, fishy flavor. If you're not a big anchovy fan like me, I'd recommend ordering it without. Service was excellent for a busy Friday night. Our server was friendly and helped guide us with wine recommendations. He was spot on, and the wines paired beautifully with the meals we chose. Definitely a great spot for a cozy dinner in the heart of Central Ave.
