My partner and I were exploring the Lakeshore area. He was getting hungry and we happened to see this restaurant, so he suggested we go there to have a light meal. Our visit was on a hot Saturday afternoon around 3p.m. When we entered, we were greeted promptly by a friendly staff who took us to a nice seating area by the windows. Our waitress was a young friendly lady who brought us water and the menu. We orderered a Kung Pao Chicken Bowl, Greek Fries and Passion Fruit Spritz. All the items were delicious- the drink was cold and refreshing, the fries were hot and crispy, and the bowl was fresh and the portion size was a sufficient amount in comparison to the price. Our waitress came by to check-in on us around the middle of our meal. We were happy to be in a place that was nice and quiet. We look forward to coming here in the future- look forward to seeing what this place is like during the evening. Good food and good service, you can't go wrong.

Awesome NBA-themed restaurant and bar! I love the atmosphere here and it's not crowded during happy hour, so a great spot to grab a drink and hang! They don't play any loud music either. Drinks and food are all pretty solid and a pretty good price. The service is pretty quick, especially during happy hour! They are actually quite well staffed to be able to service the amount of customers present. Granted, we've only visited during happy hour so I can't say how crowded it'll get late night or weekends. However, all our visits have been fantastic!

Heard about Toronto having the first NBA restaurant and had to give it a try! Price $15-$40 per person Items ordered: -Mushroom Pizza -Courtside Burger -Blackened Chicken Sandwich Food Quality (Menu, Taste, Portion size) - 4/5 The menu was pretty simple, and had all the classics you would want at a chain restaurant. The portion size was pretty big, none of us could finish our meals and we were all pretty hungry. Price was pretty fair too, comparable to Real Sports and Jack Astors. Usually when i go to a place like this I'm not expecting much and mostly going for the vibe but the taste was better than I expected. The drinks were very pretty looking and will look to order those next time. The menu items have basketball puns/nba references so it was pretty cool! Atmosphere - 5/5 This was the best part of the place and the main reason why we went. They have some really cool NBA memorabilia items. It's very similar to Real Sports vibe but more specifically for the NBA. Service - 3/5 The staff was nice and helpful but was pretty slow for some basic things like water and taking our order and checking in. The restaurant wasn't crowded, but maybe they were short staffed. Will I go again? On a night where we're just looking to watch a game or chill with a larger group, absolutely Lash's Recommendations -Courtside Burger (Friend's Recommendation)

October 31/2024: Dinner with Jimmy before Leafs Game. This was SO mediocre! The location itself was cool, right in the Toronto waterfront. The ambiance was excellent for a sports bar. Lots of screens in different sizes with multiple different sports. The food...just ok. I have the blackened chicken sandwich w fries. The chicken piece in the sandwich was small. Too small to cover the sandwich itself. The garlic aioli was tasty & the fries were almost cooked right. With SO many restaurants in the area, this does not warrant a do-over.

Such a great experience, from the food to the exceptional service, 4.5/5. If you are coming to Toronto, you definitely need to check this place out!!

I really enjoyed my experience here! We came for the Kings vs Warriors game 6 playoffs and the atmosphere was so lively! We came about 30 minutes before the game started and were able to get a table for five without a reservation. The best part was that they didn't rush us out at all and we were able to stay and watch the whole game without a time limit. The food here was definitely better than regular bar food. I had garlic truffle parm fries, wings to share, Memphis crispy chicken sandwich and raspberry Greek yogurt cheesecake. The sandwich was so flavourful and the cheesecake was prefectly tart and sweet. Definitely take a walk around to see the shoe wall, all the murals and the little touches!

The vibes are immaculate for any basketball fan! The restaurant was surprisingly easy to get a table on a Friday night with the Raptors game on as its in a pretty remote area downtown. The restaurant itself was playing every NBA game on tonight so there is always something to watch! The crowd was really fun and lively and great to watch the game with! The place also had really cool basketball references and artifacts around. The food itself was pretty subpar, we only ordered the pizza and various cocktails. The other food that was coming out of the kitchen looked good but pretty standard American food offered in other restaurants around. Will definitely come back again for another Raptors night!

I came here for my husbands birthday since he is a huge basketball fanatic. The ambiance of the place was really nice & the food was good! We came from Milton, so it would have been nice if they gave free parking but I get it - it's Toronto. The staff were also super friendly, & answered any questions I had about the menu. I wish there was more of a Toronto Raptors presence, but I understand it's an NBA focused restaurant.. but if I went to any city in the USA & they had this restaurant, I'm sure that home city would be plastered everywhere. Still, I liked the food & the vibe! I would come back

Stopped in for dinner while in town and had an amazing time. Chantel was our waitress, and she was a gem. Gave us fun facts, recommendations, and top-tier service. We had Boston fish and chips with sangria. Everything was great. There's not a bad seat on the house so you can't go wrong. I'd love to come back when the patios are open. The only thing we missed was the gift shop but that's ok. I highly recommend checking out this restaurant especially if your team is playing.

Was cool. Nice interior even though I'm not a fan of basket ball ..lol (Food was just average.. not that special)

The place SEEMED quiet but shortly thereafter the place got JAMMED! Initially it was slow service but it picked up shortly. We had several different servers so no single server is tagged here. I will say that it's a hip, nicely equipped restaurant. We decided to do an appie meal. We ordered Sichuan Chicken lettuce wraps ($25.50)..this was the best of the appies. The next was the Crab Dip ($20.75), it was hot but not overly tasty. 3rd was the Hot Chicken Bites with pickles ($16.00). They were ok but not hot in temp enough. The final was the Chili Citrus Calamari ($21.25). This was the worse of the dishes. Simply put, it was cold. The server removed this from our bill. In summary...I wouldn't go out of my way again to go here but given all things being equal, the servers were very good. As a final note...the bathroom was very clean & well maintained.

Either the menu is a mediocre version of the actual menu, and/or the service is dismissive once they learn you're there for the 'licious set. Black + Blue had a $65 dinner menu which is pretty good for the options available. The portions were generous but the service was where things really stood out. We were treated so incredibly well by all the staff. Dawn was our server and she was so lovely! We really felt taken care of. I've never had a restaurant server look at the type of pant I was wearing and change my table napkin to a black one to match my dark pants. Nor do I remember a restaurant heating up the mug a cappuccino comes in to ensure it stays nice and warm. As for food, we were allowed to have some partake in Summerlicious and some not. I had the Summerlicious menu and picked the Wagyu Tartare, Surf and Turf, and Buttercake. Great portions, delicious food. My favourite was the Buttercake. We also had happy hour drinks, oysters, a prime rib, and caesar salad. If I were to recommend something, get the $78 prime rib which is 14 oz, perfectly seasoned, and comes with glazed carrots and the most amazing mashed potatoes I've ever had.

The food was incredible- one our tastebuds won't forget! Our group of 5 started with fresh sushi and sashimi, table side Caesar salad and the softest brioche served with sun-dried tomato butter that was perfect in every way. Main course: Australian wagyu ribeye that we didn't even have to chew plus a strip loin and beef Wellington (which was maybe the only thing I don't need to order again, but still delicious). All the sides were amazing and finally sticky toffee pudding and butter cake to put us in a complete food coma. Wouldn't change a thing about this meal. We cannot thank you enough Tyler (and Toronto!!)!

I found myself wanting to try most of the cocktails, which is a rarity. We got the Strawberry Tetsu to start (inspired by Uncle Tetsu's Japanese cheesecake), along with the Cloudy Oolong (tea-based cocktail with a salted caramel cheese foam). The Strawberry Tetsu tasted like a dessert and was delicious, with a graham cracker crumble rim. The Cloudy Oolong had a strong tea taste which I loved, as sometimes the tea can get lost in a cocktail. The foam on top was addicting and paired nicely with it, similar to a bubble tea. Next, I had the Burnt Yuzu which was light and refreshing from the citrus. The bar is hidden behind Misfit Ice Cream, with a speakeasy vibe to the interior. Large windows line one wall with a view to the exterior, but are tinted enough that people walking by cannot see in. We walked up to an unassuming entrance that is part of the experience, and once inside, the atmosphere shifts completely. The space is intimate and cozy with dim lighting, comfortable seating, and a relaxed speakeasy vibe that makes it easy to settle in for a couple of drinks. The transition from the street to the interior feels deliberate, and the low-key energy of the room encourages lingering. The cocktail menu leans heavily into Asian-inspired flavors, and that is what makes it stand out. Every drink feels thoughtfully developed rather than relying on presentation alone. We tried the Cloudy Oolong, which was especially memorable with its rich tea flavor and creamy cheese foam that added a savory depth to the cocktail. The Strawberry Tetsu offered a dessert-like profile without becoming overly sweet, balancing fruit and tea notes in a way that felt refined and well composed. Each cocktail arrived beautifully presented and balanced, making it easy to appreciate the amount of care that goes into every glass. The menu is creative without being gimmicky, and the flavors are well integrated, with each drink offering something distinct. The staff were welcoming and happy to explain the menu or offer recommendations if you are unsure what to order. They guided us through the flavor profiles and offered thoughtful suggestions based on our preferences. Service felt attentive without being overbearing, and the overall pace made it a great place to relax rather than rush through a drink. The team checked in at the right moments and kept the experience feeling personal and unhurried. If you are looking for a cocktail bar that offers something different from the usual classics, After Seven delivers a memorable experience. Between the hidden entrance, intimate setting, and creative drinks, it is the kind of place that is easy to recommend whether you are celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for one of Toronto's more unique bars. The balance of atmosphere, craftsmanship, and service makes it a standout in the city's cocktail scene.

Located on the 31st floor of the St. Regis Hotel, the restaurant has an incredible atmosphere. The dining room is absolutely stunning with a classy and luxurious feel, but it still feels comfortable and inviting rather than too formal. We started the evening with cocktails before moving into the Summerlicious menu. I ordered the "I Only Drink When I Smoke," which was a great way to start the night. It had a subtle smoky flavour with a touch of sweetness, and the alcohol was not overpowering at all. It was smooth, easy to sip on, and the perfect drink to enjoy while having conversations. For my Summerlicious menu, I started with the Tartare de Boeuf and Caviar. The filet mignon tartare was fresh and really smooth, with a nice balance of rich and savoury flavours. The toasted bread also gave it a nice crunch and paired really well with the tartare. For the main course, I had the Roasted Chateaubriand Filet. When the plate was served, the meat looked really rare as I saw nothing but red on the meat, but it was incredibly tender, making it easy to cut through. It was full of flavour, and the sauce complemented the steak without being too heavy or salty. The vegetables added a nice balance to the dish, and the creamy mashed potatoes were smooth, and definitely one of my favourite parts of the meal. To finish, I had the Mango Passionfruit Cheesecake. It was creamy without feeling too heavy. Though the fruity flavours from the mango passionfruit were a bit tart and sweet for my palate, it still gave an overall refreshing touch. The crust added a nice texture, and it was the perfect ending to the meal. Beyond the food, what really stood out was the service and pacing of the evening. Each course arrived at the right time, allowing us to enjoy every dish without feeling rushed. The price point is definitely on the higher end, so it is not somewhere I would personally visit for a casual dinner on a regular basis. However, for a special occasion, celebration, or a night where you want to enjoy a beautiful dining experience, I think Louix Louis would be a great choice... and for $75/ person for Summerlicious/ Winterlicious, definitely a great value to sample the chefs' artistry. Overall, it was a memorable evening with an elegant atmosphere, thoughtfully prepared dishes, and great service. I can definitely understand why this spot has become such a popular destination, and I would love to come back again for Winterlicious!

Perched high above the bustle of downtown Toronto, LOUIX LOUIS makes a compelling first impression…read more The dining room is genuinely handsome -- a study in polished Art Deco glamour softened by sweeping city views that lend every table a sense of occasion. On a Valentine's Day brunch visit, the atmosphere alone was enough to justify the reservation. The kitchen demonstrates genuine competence: dishes arrive with care, the pacing is unhurried, and the mise en scène -- from tableside presentation to that now-famous thirteen-layer chocolate cake -- reveals an establishment that understands the theatre of fine dining. That towering slice of chocolate cake, in particular, is a masterstroke of marketing and pastry craft in equal measure; it draws the eye, earns its reputation, and very nearly steals the show. Where LOUIX LOUIS gives one pause is in the cuisine's ability to fully match its surroundings. The cooking is accomplished and reliably pleasant, yet seldom rises to the level of genuine distinction one might hope for at this price point. Dishes satisfy without surprising; technique is evident but inspiration, at moments, feels held in reserve. For the corporate traveller or the visitor seeking a polished, geographically convenient showcase of the city's skyline, this represents an entirely sound choice. For those seeking an experience whose flavours linger as long as the view, the kitchen has room yet to grow into its magnificent stage. Service is attentive and well-intentioned, though it can occasionally want for the depth of knowledge that elevates a good meal into a memorable one. LOUIX LOUIS is, in sum, a very good restaurant striving -- not quite yet arriving -- at greatness. The bones are exceptional; one hopes the culinary vision will, in time, catch up with them.
