Great place to eat and do some shopping. I stopped by unplanned to check it out and ended up buying Gabby's seasonings. Didn't try the food but did buy some delicious chocolate chip cookies. The concept here is great cause you have a few things to choose from to eat. Also lots of ready packaged foods to go, salads and more. You will find snacks , drinks etc ... also great selection of gift items for all foodies in your life. Customer service was ok, the location and the ambiance is great. I'm a big fan of Neighborly! My most recent visit, I ordered the Chinese Chicken Salad, the portion was generous, and everything tasted super fresh and delicious. I really appreciate how consistently great their service is. I usually order ahead and pick up since it's close to my job, and my food is always ready on time. Very fresh food and a lot of variety to fit every craving in a very nice atmosphere with multiple options to sit outside. Food came out quick and was greeted very well at that time and at the end. Very friendly people working and that good energy translates into great food. Ordered chicken avocado wrap and the Thai basil chicken. The wrap tastes very fresh and clean and Thai basil chicken had great flavor and felt like I was at a Thai restaurant. It's very easy to order off the screens and love all the options. This is cute little space with 5 different menus to choose from. I tried Social Monk which is Asian inspired. The space inside was smaller than the patio but still had a good amount of seating options. Patio is dog friendly. Great natural lighting & very clean. You can place your order with a touch screen or a person whatever you prefer. You can grab your drinks from the little self serve market, including caned alcoholic beverages, or water cups are available. -Beef Chow Mein- Good sized portion & well balanced with all the ingredients. The noodles were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of chew to them without feeling like it was over/under cooked. The vegetables were crisp & added a great texture. The sauce had a good consistency & was mildly spicy, that did not overtake take the meal, which added a great flavor to the dish. The beef was cooked perfectly. Soft, tender, & lean so there were no chewy bits of fat to try to avoid. -Service was top notch! Staff was there upon entry to explain what they are about & helped guide us through the ordering process. Not only is Neighborly the best lunch spot in the neighborhood, it is also the most delicious and amazing spot for catering! First and foremost, Andrea Uyeda, the Director of Catering, is truly something special. She is kind, communicative, attentive, and cares so much about the happiness and full tummies of others! She goes above and beyond to make sure you are getting exactly what you want and need from the menu. The catering menu is extensive, yet offers simple package options to feed a group. And when I say, EVERYTHING is to die, for I mean it! I regularly feed a group of 30-40 "foodie" adults and they raved about this catered lunch. Pricing is very reasonable, serving sizes are generous, and the spread created by Andrea and the catering team was simply beautiful. I will definitely be using Neighborly in the future and cannot recommend this enough! One thing to note, review notes the location is in Thousand Oaks but there is a beautiful new location in Brentwood off San Vicente that must be visited! Popular and lively spot! The recent reopening of this location has all of the buzz. I'm happy that the Social Monk menu was kept! We went back today to check out the new menu. You can choose from FIVE different menu options: Gaby's (Sami's & Salads), Joan's on Third (Family Style Meals), The Cheese Store Pizza, Social Monk (Asian), and Mini Kabob. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a team member that guides you through the process. There are three kiosks to order food from on the right-hand side as you enter. Those kiosks are for food and non-alcoholic beverages. Feeling a little bubbly? Proceed to the counter area and their is another kiosk for ordering beer and wine. Gaby's is one of the food stalls in the Neighborly food hall located in Westlake Village. This stall caters to fresh made sandwiches, wraps and salad/bowls. My friend and I were perusing the menu and decided that Gaby's looked like the best choice for something healthier, but still really delicious. Essentially it is modern California cuisine and on their website they call themselves "everyday California fare" which is the perfect description. We decided to eat inside and ordered from their electronic menu screens located to the right side in the neighborly food hall center. One of the gals there was very lovely and helped us navigate their electronic menu system and once she showed us, it really was a breeze. We decided to put both of our orders together that way the food would likely come out together, which was smart so keep that in mind if you're coming with a group that if you pay separately, your orders might be staggered a little bit, especially if someone is ordering from a different group at a different screen alongside you. So pro tip, we ordered our food on one screen and got our food brought to our table together, which was ideal. Once you find your table, you put your receipt code in on the QR code on the table, and that helps the staff find where you decided to sit down in order to bring in your food. After we had sat down, the staff brought us waters and utensils which was appreciated. From Gaby's, I ordered the special which is Gabby's Chicken Cesar Salad wrap with avocado and I added bacon plus an extra side of their Caesar dressing. Trust me, this is the elite combo! This wrap was to die for, and I honestly can't stop thinking about it because it was perfect. The chicken inside it was crispy and the bacon was also well done which I loved. Like a salad wrap should be there was plenty of crunchy and fresh lettuce and the Caesar dressing is ultra creamy and tasty. I would definitely come back for this again because it was filling, but also felt healthy. My friend got the Thomas crispy chicken sandwich and she also said it was delicious. The chibata like bread looked fresh and like the chicken in my wrap, hers was also crispy and had a good crunch. Hers was topped with this thick slaw and came with some honey mustard dressing, which she liked, but felt like the sandwich didn't need because I had such great toppings already. She said this was a dish she would also get again and honestly, it looks so good, I would try it. If you walk into neighborly and are unsure what to try, I would definitely recommend Gaby's because the food was all very delicious and I also feel like reasonably priced for how big the portions were. It felt like a healthier lunch, but also filling that I couldn't have eaten another bite. I highly recommend you try their chicken and bacon Caesar wrap because I am definitely going to be coming back for that again soon. read more

Fun if you have family who all wants something different! We ordered from "mixtape" and got the chicken sandwich and chicken tenders. All seed oil free, refined sugar free and gluten free! They also have a very cute little store inside with a lot of different options of things. I love that this place has so many options for everyone!! While we were sitting down waiting for our food (we ordered Togo) we had 3 different employees come ask if we wanted water or if they could help us with anything which was so great!! This is my new favorite lunch spot in Thousand Oaks, and I'm so disappointed I haven't been here sooner. We ordered the pesto chicken sandwich and Caesar avocado wrap from the Gaby's menu. Both were incredible. I really struggled to pick which one I liked more. They both were so fresh and light, but still filling. The pesto chicken sandwich had fresh mozzarella, arugula, roasted tomato, pesto, chicken, and a lemon aioli that was just killer. The ciabatta is deceptively soft despite being toasted. The caesar wrap was essentially a Caesar salad wrapped in a soft tortilla, but it was executed perfectly. Everyone working at Neighborly was super friendly and helpful. This is a great casual spot and is perfect for an outdoor lunch. I will be back to make up for lost time, and I look forward to checking out some of the many other food items. read more

Love that we have a new food hall since we have nothing like this nearby! You order through a digital kiosk and find a table to sit at where you scan a QR code that is linked to your order. The line was kind of long to order, but it went quickly. There are so many food choices since there are 4 different menus to order from. There are sandwiches, salads, pizza, bowls, Mediterranean food, and Asian dishes. There is also a marketplace of items that are grab-n-go. I decided to try Gaby's cowboy caviar taco salad and the kid's pizza from The Cheese Store. The kid's pizza was huge and such a great deal for $12.50. It came with 6 square slices on a Detroit style crust. It was delicious! Gaby's cowboy caviar taco salad was amazing! It was loaded with ingredients and flavor. The chipotle chicken was flavorful and tender. The green goddess ranch paired nicely with the salad. I would definitely get this again! Every employee that I interacted with was friendly and attentive. The outdoor seating was very comfortable with a lot of umbrellas for shade. I enjoyed my experience here and loved the food! I cannot say enough good things about Neighborly. I'm so glad they opened up down the street. My go tos are the Gaby's chopped salad and the mini kebab Alva's plate with chicken thigh. The pizzas are great too if you're looking for something a little more filling. I remember thinking the first time I went here "it's so expensive for takeout!" But honestly, it is not just takeout. The service is INCREDIBLE. Even if you're just waiting for a to go order, the staff if happy to grab you a water or give a cookie sample to your crying toddler. Everyone is genuinely happy to be there - employees and customers alike. The outdoor patio is great and it's located in the promenade so there's lots to do before and after you eat. I can count on one hand the number of times I've had an issue with my meal, and that's after getting food at least weekly over the last year. We've always loved Social Monk but having 3 other restaurants is a game changer for my family. We struggle to get something for everyone, but I think the menu lets everyone get something to love. I'm a little sad that some of my favorites from Social Monk are gone, like the satay, but I see they're streamlining the menu for quality. We have a picky eater, and they loved the Classic Cheeseburger Wrap ($15.50) I personally think it's something that can easily be made at home, but having the option is so important when we want to eat out together. The MK Mezze bowl ($14.50) was also delicious, the portions are great to have a balanced bite for the entire plate. The Teriyaki bowl was tasty. I especially loved the mushrooms. A general trend is the food is pleasantly seasoned and aromatic. Finally, the pizza was huge! In comparison with the rest of the menu, I feel like this is the best bang for your buck. The slices were thick, I could barely go through 2 in a sitting but the leftovers were happily devoured later in the day. Also it's nice to have something light in the kale salad to match the grease. There's also local business groceries/cute gift trinkets at the front, grab and go meals, etc. Their cookies are also pretty tasty. Overall a great place to pop-in with the family or yourself for a quick feel good meal! We'll definitely be back to try more. Took a sneak peek tonight . This place is definitely going to be popping especially as we head back to the warmer seasons. A lot of options that are reasonably priced and portion sizes are pretty sizable. I decided to try this pepperoni pizza with pepperoni ranch (you can choose which side sauce you want) They have kiosks you order from that give you access to a few different menu options. I'll have to come back to try stuff from social monk and mini kabob. I couldn't pass up the pizza though. It was really filling and the pepperonis were crispy and the crust was quite crunchy. A nice Sicilian style pizza with plenty of toppings. I actually really enjoyed the arugula and lemon vinaigrette that comes with it. I ate it as a salad to help cut down on the grease but I think you can also put it on top of the pizza and it comes with some Parm as well. Been here a few times now and love this place. The line to order at the kiosk can get long during peak mealtimes. You order and you get a code. Once you find your table, you scan the QR code on the table and enter your order's code. That way the server will know where you're seated. Tried the tuna sandwich which is really tasty but the ciabatta can be a tad hard. The salmon bowl is great too and today I tried the Gaby's Caesar avocado wrap and loved it! That's my favorite so far. It's nice that you get food choices from different kitchens all in one spot. My not so young kid ordered the kid's pizza and it was actually quite big! Delicious food! Neighborly is such a fun concept. There are a handful of different restaurants within of different types of food. I had the Mediterranean "mezze" bowl and it was delicious! My uncle had the taco salad (Mexican restaurant) and it was delicious as well. Attached are a few photos of other foods we've tried there. The flavors and variety at neighborly are great. They have a unique lineup of drinks as well. The service is friendly and plenty of outdoor seating with limited indoor seating. Mixtape sundaes are INSANE. Way better than Erewhon wow I am so impressed and will be coming back to try the other flavors. The chocolate brownie flavor is a must try. Service here is also impeccable. The staff has been great and so attentive. Really a stand out. I came one night and the ice cream machine was broken. They offered so many alternatives and solutions and I was back the next day for lunch and dessert. They also were great about a food allergy we had. From the moment we're greeted, to getting help with ordering, to the attentive check-ins while we eat, Neighborly really takes care of their customers. Most of the seating is outdoors, and they have heating lamps for cooler days and nights. The food is top-notch.
