It was my first time here today. My friends took me here. I didn't know what to expect but I got the pink flamingo. It was around $5 for a 16oz. drink. That is kind of expensive. Make sure to ask for student discount!! Yaay for CSULB!! Well I'm only giving it a two stars because I just don't like the drink... And how it's expensive. Maybe that's just me because my friends liked the drinks. But not me. Oh wells, sorry guys. I gave the drink to my friend to finish it. Didn't want to waste money. They make the drink with coconut water and I'm not a big fan of coconut. Should of realized that it wasn't going to be so great. So sorry! Now I know!! But it's worth a try I guess.. read more

Still going strong as far as I'm concerned. They fresh make their juices and smoothies. The acai bowls are TO DIE FOR. Still my absolute favorite because they emulsify the spinach and kale into and it's TASTELESS. (Some of us need to not taste our veggies when we eat them.) I love their protein drinks because they use nut milk. YUM. Hopefully some day they can add coconut MILK to their menu since THAT would be the icing on the cake, in this instance, the milk in the smoothie. read more

Watermelon smoothie was RIDICULOUS! SOOOO good. Tastes like a tall glass of summer! Staff was super friendly, fast and made great suggestions (thanks for pointing out that smoothie!). They also looked like they were happy and having fun, which is usually a good sign. I got a couple bites of my companions's bowl, which was delicious. Smooth and tasty. The fruit on top was super fresh and yum - it looked beautiful, too. Like the stuff people insist on Insta sharing. I'll be back, for sure. I have been hearing a lot about Nekter for a while now. I'm glad I made the trip to see what all the hype is about. It's located in a shopping center near Trader Joe's. It's a very nice area. There's an outdoor patio and walking path to take a stroll on while you enjoy your drink. Nekter is simply not your average juice bar like Jamba or Juice It Up. The drinks here are very fresh and natural which really sets this bar well above others. The service here is pretty quick and efficient and the staff is pretty friendly. However, the line does get a little long. The wait for our smoothies wasn't long at all. I ordered their tropical cooler. It was amazing. You could taste every ingredient in the smoothie. I felt very refreshed and revived after drinking it. I give it 2 thumbs up! I will definitely be back for more. read more

Nekter is a nationwide chain offering a concise menu of made to order juices, smoothies, and açaí bowls. This location adjacent to Trader Joe's in Long Beach was packed on a Saturday morning, despite being small and easy to miss. The interior is clean and cookie cutter corporate, with only a small amount of seating. The line moved quickly, and the employees were sweet and helpful. I got The Greenie, their signature green juice, which was very good. For some reason I did not realize how huge a 24oz juice is, which is only the medium size here-it was a LOT of juice for $8! I enjoyed the fresh cucumber and apple flavors, which masked the bitterness of the kale. The celery, parsley, and lemon were apparent without being overpowering. I also got a Ginger Shot (free with Yelp check in) which was intensely concentrated and instantly cleared my sinuses. Nekter recently began carrying their own brand of vegan ice cream, which is made with cashew milk, coconut sugar, and other natural ingredients. I sampled the Peanut Butter Brownie flavor and was blown away by the rich, creamy texture. The fudgey dark chocolate base is packed with salty peanut butter flavor. I will come back just to eat this ice cream. Highly recommended. read more

So I always get the Acai peanut butter bowl. At this location it's consistently amazing. They don't add any processed sugars and only use dates to sweeten it with a drizzle of agave on top. The acai itself is always thick and creamy, not liquidity at all. At other Nekter locations the bowl turns out soupy, like I'm eating up a smoothie. read more

Staff were friendly and service was prompt, which is the reason they received 2 stars. I gave the cashier a $20 bill. My total for a SMALL was $7.25. She needed to use a calculator to figure out what she owed me. Ok, that's really not my problem. My real and only problem is that I paid SO much money for a TOTALLY TASTELESS DRINK! REALLY? Nothing angries more than paying a lot for a subpar product. I ordered the Berry Burst (or something like that) so the flavors should have literally been bursting through. They either need to use better produce or come up with a new and improved recipe. Totally ridiculous! Totally disgusting! Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. read more

Don't order the Greenie Açaí Bowl. It was not very good. I've had a lot of açaí bowls in Hawaii and I really wanted to like Nekter Juice Bar's version because I really miss these bowls, but it just wasn't up to par. I'm so disappointed! The açaí blend had a thick smoothie-like consistency, but no taste at all. No fruity flavor. Bleh. I couldn't even finish the bowl. Hempseed granola was good, though. I suggest adding honey on top to counter the cardboard-tasting açaí blend. Cost per bowl: about $7 (average). Açaí bowls not recommended. read more

This place serves fresh pressed juices, smoothies, and acai bowls. I've tried all of their juices and liked 4 out of 6. Toxin Flush is my favorite, followed by The Buzz, The Cure, and The Sublime. I didn't care for The Greenie or The Glow. The latter two were way too bitter. I'm sure they are very healthy, bitter stuff usually is, but I wish they added more fruits to make them more palatable. Toxin Flush is a great mix of bitter and sweet so you get the detox effect and great taste. Fresh pressed juices are available in various sizes ranging from 16 oz. to 32 oz. and price ranges from $4.75 to $8.50. 16 oz. is enough. You can also make your own blend of juices ranging from kids size to 32 oz, with price ranging from $3.00 to $8.50. You just choose a base of either carrot, celery, orange, or apple and choose from kale, spinach, parsley, ginger, lemon, cucumber, beets, broccoli, and grapes. My main complaint with their juices is they are served at room temperature. I'm not sure why they don't keep the vegetables and fruits refrigerated before pressing them. I almost wanted to ask for some ice but I don't like getting fresh juices diluted by ice. The service is lacking. These are some of the most apathetic employees I've ever seen. You'd think a place that serves healthy juices and smoothies would have some friendly, vivacious workers but it's quite the opposite. These workers never smile and show no sense of urgency even though the place is usually packed with people. I usually had to wait about 20 to 25 minutes to get my drinks. I was thinking about coming back to try their "cleanse" drinks but I changed my mind. They are way too expensive and don't want to deal with the brooding employees. read more

Finally a fresh juice bar that isn't about just blending fruit and yogurt. They use raw, fresh ingredients, and are vegan friendly. Perfect place to get your daily dose of veggies and fruit. From ginger shots, wheat grass shots, fresh veggie items as kale and spinach, non dairy options like vanilla bean cashew nut milk, and more. I was a little apprehensive as I ordered the smallest size Popeye Acai with items like spinach and nut milk. Though the color wasn't so appetizing, I wish I ordered a larger size because I downed it by the time I reached my car. Perfect snack or meal after a work out. Go here if you want to drink to good health - literally. This was my first time visiting Nekter and I had no idea what to expect. There was a selection of juices, smoothies, and acai bowls to choose from. I remember the "Greenie" juice catching my eye, and it was exactly that... GREEN. It was like drinking a salad with a hint of lemon. I felt healthier from each sip. I also had a few bites of the Acai Tropical Bowl ($6.50), which was good. I loved the fresh banana and coconut flakes on top. The smallest cup size they had was a 16 oz and that costed $4.75. It costs another $2 for the 24 oz and $8.50 for the 32 oz. A lot pricier than I expected, but I guess that's what you pay for the healthy stuff. Even so, I would much rather go grocery shopping and make my own juices at home for that price. You'll definitely get more bang for your buck that way. I would probably come back again for their acai bowls if anything. read more

I'm a juice-a-holic. Nekter was the worse juice I ever tasted. How can they sell organic juices when it's not certified. I see no USDA organic stamp.. The people in the store do not know much about their own products and juices.. Why do their juices last for 2 weeks...hummmm most non pasturized, cold pressed juices only last for 3 days.. suspicious. . Lastly there is no nutrient label on the back indicating the serving of each item placed in the bottle, the calories, the sugar content.. what am I drinking? This is my home away from Jujubar. Everything is fresh and refreshing here. The service is great and the employees are very helpful in offering suggestions. It's small but very clean. I've ordered the tropical acai bowl and I really enjoy it! It's fresh and very fulfilling. The pitaya bowl is just as tasty and leans on the sweet side. The PB bowl is good as well but not my favorite in terms of flavors. I recently tried the greenie and it is very refreshing but I did have to wait 10 minutes on their juice.... The serving size is a bit smaller than where I normally get my acai bowl but it is still enough to fill you up and get you going! I am a fan of this place and s0 glad they are not far from me! Went to the farmer's market in Long Beach, and had a craving for an acai bowl. I remember that there was a place nearby that had them, and thus I went to Nekter! It's located next to Trader Joe's, Veggie Grill, and Coffee Bean. The interior is small, but I didn't mind, because I wasn't going to eat it there anyway. I had ordered an acai berry bowl, and it was $7.95. It's pretty big, and my boyfriend and I shared it, even though I know I could have probably finished it on my own, lol. It had hemp granola, blueberries, strawberries, bananas, and honey. I wish it had more honey though, but all in all, it was very tasty. If you're ever in the area, and want a good acai bowl, definitely come to Nekter and buy one. They have three different ones to choose from! read more

This is my kind of drink! I'm not a fan of this boba craze that has everyone chewing themselves loco. I will be back! 1. I only had the Date-Nut shake, it's more a smoothie than milkshake. They use cashew milk which I think is the reason for its smoothness/creaminess. My aunt recommended extra dates, good move! The bananas and nutmeg go really well in this wonder-concoction. This location made me miss my Nektar location that is close to home. :( I went and the initial service was ok but when my drink was ready the guy serving me just put it on the counter without calling out. I was waiting and the only way I knew my drink was done was to walk over and I even had to ask what drink it was in the counter ??? If I hadn't of looked over I wouldn't of known my drink was ready. When I asked the guy who made my drink about why the drink was just sitting there he was sort of "blasé " about the whole thing. I heard him call out everyone else's order and didn't bother calling mine out. I frequent the area so I may stop in and try it out again but nothing beats the warmth of my home store. It's just something about kind and genuinely friendly service that makes it for me. I guess I just wanted to feel the same way when I went here. We'll see for next time. Other than that my drink was ok. Not bad but not the greatest either. All in all maybe it was not the best day. Next time. read more

Years later, this is still my favorite Nekter locations. Parking can get tricky in this lot as there are a variety of healthier food options in the plaza. Next to a "my fit foods" and Trader Joes, Nekter is a easily accessible from the freeway. it is also next to a Coffee Bean, so I am able to stop in before work and get all my morning essentials in the same shopping center. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and quick. I go for the Toxin Flush or the Little Beet. I recently tried the overnight oats with chia seeds and they were awesome. I was disappointed to find that a different location did not carry these, and they are just carried at the high volume stores. read more

Terrible. Food was fine. Sitting in line, man walks up behind me with a puppy in his hands. Kids behind counter get all gooey with dog and owner, and no one acts like they serve food here. Second lady walks in with dog, they know her by name, so assume dog is also there frequently. Again, they serve food here. Man with puppy puts puppy on table to take pictures with his food order. When that puppy pees on table, who is going to make that surface clean enough to eat on again? Staff said NOTHING. Unacceptable. Is this acceptable for Nekter Corporate?? Make this dog-haven make sense to me, and I'll politely take my business elsewhere. UPDATE: The Nekter team have fully engaged the issue, retrained staff up through regional mgmt, and provided absolute assurance this was a one-off issue, and the Nekter stance on pets in store is clear. Thank you for the rapid responses and immediate attention to this in rectifying the situation. Gladly returned to see a clean, fresh feeling bar and no dog hair in sight. read more

Rather than write a 3 star review, I will write a 4 star review, but note that I prefer my other place 2 miles away for acai bowls and ginger shots. Though Nekter has smoother acai, more consistent service, and a great shared waterfront patio, my other place lets me choose the flavor and amount of granola, and they give an apple slice chaser with the ginger shot. read more

I've been to this Nekter several times and while I'm never blown away by the flavor of the drinks, I nevertheless like that they're healthy, there are lots of options, and that I always get friendly and helpful customer service. I love coming here! The atmosphere here is zen and calm along with fresh. The service is great! I would reccomend the Acaí peanut butter bowl. Its definitely a place to go relax and have a healthy snack. read more

Their superfood lattes are incredibly unique and filled with natural ingredients that will activate your brain. Bonus: he's an unapologetic cat dad! They have a great-looking interior designed by the cool local architectural firm Design Camp. Their only seating, however, are the Vietnamese-style plastic stools out front so I've only ever gotten drinks to go. It's great that they're next door to San and Wolves, too--the two businesses feel like they were meant to be neighbors. I wish them continued success!

My biggest concern, however, is the impact the business has had on our neighborhood. Since Zuzu's Petals opened, we've noticed a significant increase in litter, much of it appearing to be food and drink packaging from the restaurant. Weekend traffic on the sidewalks has become overwhelming, customers often park in alleyways or in unsafe locations, and it has made our neighborhood much more difficult to navigate. We brought these concerns to an employee, but were told there wasn't much they could do. If this business truly wants to be part of the community, I hope they take more responsibility for the impact they're having on the surrounding neighborhood. Encouraging customers to park responsibly, helping keep the area clean, and offering more reasonably priced menu options would go a long way toward building goodwill with the people who actually live here. I always want local businesses to succeed, but right now I can't recommend Zuzu's Petals based on both my experience and the ongoing issues it's created for nearby residents. Also beach cleaning isn't cleaning our neighborhood. That's no support to our neighborhood. Maybe have a neighborhood clean up day instead.

Update: After sending a letter to their corporate offices, they responded that they were sorry, that sometimes it gets busy, and that they had shown my letter to the staff and addressed the concerns I had with specific employees. They then offered me a $25 gift card that I could pick up from the store. All I had to do to receive this gift card was to show said email to anyone working at the front. I have never been so shocked? I dont even know that that is the right word. I am not a complete idiot and dont wish to have my juice be the target of a retaliatory attack. It was an empty gesture as am I CERTAIN that I don't wish to identify myself as the person who wrote a negative letter and got their sour-faced staff in trouble. I haven't gone in since nor will I again. I have continued going to this place despite the fact that it seems to take them longer to blend a smoothie than most restaurants take to put out a steak, the absolutely horrendous customer service, and the fact that their smoothies and juices are not made with organic fruit and veggies. I had continued going because for the most part their juices and smoothies are pretty good. There are definitely some inconsistencies from juice to juice but I expect that to an extent. My real problem is that I went today and spent 30 minutes waiting for my date nut smoothie. As I waited I watched two or three employees leave (I assume it was the end of their shift) while 10 or more people waited in line all without being acknowledged by the staff working. I have worked in tons of restaurants and customer service based establishments and I have never seen such a consistent lack of enthusiasm from a staff as a whole. They can't be bothered to say hello as people come in or even let people waiting know that they will be helped in a moment. Overall the customer service here has made me feel like I am doing them a favor for coming in. I can stay home and ask my significant other to make me a smoothie if I wanted someone to begrudgingly make me breakfast. So the experience sucked but how was the smoothie? Well if my smoothie was supposed to be warm and have no ice then they did a fantastic job. I have had the date nut smoothie before and it is one of my favorites, I know what it is SUPPOSED to taste like. It is not supposed to have the runniness of tap water. After the aggravation of standing in line for ten minutes and waiting another 20 for my smoothie, only to get to my car and realize that it was practically luke warm, I decided that I will not be coming back to this place ever. (To be fair had I driven back over they probably would have fixed it, but it just didn't seem worth the trouble at that point) I think that it is really sad that this is a business that is flourishing despite having such a surly staff and inconsistent product. There are so many small local businesses that would kill to have the kind of business that Nektar has, I just hope they can re-evaluate what they are doing and fix all of the obvious problems. People at some point will wise up and stop paying $5 for a SMALL juice. It doesn't seem like they have anyone that is really managing the place. The Nekter Product is really good if you are ok with it not being organic. So I have gone there for a while and overlooked the customer service. Some of the employees have been wonderful. At other times, I have gotten a bit of a cold shoulder- just in general... for about 2 years. For about 1/3 of the employees, you'd think its an incredible pain to make a juice and to come in and order something is irritating to them. One of the things that I see is that I put a tip on my credit card and it is extremely rare that anyone EVER says thank you. Oh, and they could have a stack of coupons sitting on the counter, but they won't encourage you to use them. So there is the background. I race to get to this place from my previous activity, which ends with just barely enough time for me to get to Nekter before they close on Saturdays. So I race to get there and I arrived just as the clock was changing 6:00Pm... oh... but wait... I called while I was driving there and mentioned that I was racing to get there, and offered to put in a phone order, which they declined due to their policy that they do not take phone orders. So I got there right as they SHOULD have been about to close and they were long closed, with doors locked and the cash register was disassembled and they refused to help me. They said that they go by their clock- which, in this day in age should be standardized to match everyone's since they are all synced to networks. Then after a couple minutes of an attempt, the shift-leader asked another employee what time it was, and the other responded 6:02. So now they should be closed. So, I was treated very poorly and, as a regular customer, they denied me service when I even called ahead of time... trying to make it easy... and made it in the last minute. I complained to the company via the app... but its been a week and nobody seems to care. So, I would recommend other Nekter's, again, if you are ok that it is not organic for a $6-10 drink... But I don't recommend this location unless you want to risk a certain level of disdain for coming in and ordering. read more

This Nékter is the best! The staff is always super prompt and very friendly. Everything I've had on the menu is delicious. I do always end up ordering the acai energy bowl but you're good with whatever you choose. If you're into juicing/smoothies/bowls etc you will love this place. I never take advantage of online ordering, but never felt the need to because even when they're crazy busy they still seem to pump out orders quickly. I live right by a different location but will still make the longer drive to this location because of the staff alone. read more

get the date nut smoothie, it's delicious! This is the best juice bar in Orange County. What I like about this place is you can come here everyday and its affordable, much like going to starbucks. There are so many juice bars that charge $8-$14 for a juice and I can't go everyday. I can get a juice for the price of a latte and its healthier. If you get a chance try their cleanse. They make this great 1-day cleanse made with just fruits and vegetables. It tastes really good and definitely a good energy boost. read more

if u want organic go to Whole Foods across the street and prepare to pay over $7 for a 16-ounce drink. i, on the other hand, will happily pay $4.25 (yep, i have nekter cup that gets ya fiddy-cent off) plus $1.00 tip for my Greenie or Sublime 4x a week. its my crack!! it can be pretty busy on the weekends but hey, thats what your smart phone is for! I love the toxin flush and the smoothies are thick and delicious. Great service and lots of options for juice / smoothie fasting. The workers here are kind and typically are very helpful and informed on the health benefits of each drink. Great to come here before grocery shopping at trader joes or after a work out. read more

Had an experience with a really rude cashier. When I asked about the student deal she made a remark about me trying too hard to save sixty cents. Turns out I would have saved over a dollar. I'm a college kid and everything adds up. Was really unimpressed. A terrible first impression of the business. read more

The first time I walked in here I ordered the 3 day juice cleanse. They offer 6 bottle of juice a day and if you're hungry, you should eat raw while cleansing. They taste better than I thought and I've enjoyed this healthy way of life! read more

This is the second time I came here and got the sublime and acai bowl and loved it! Waited about 15 mins and going during a lunch break is not recommended. I would come here everyday if it wasn't for the wait but definitely be back! read more

I really am addicted to Nekter, I recently did a three day cleanse and feel so much more energy and my skin has really cleared up. I really like the date nut smoothie at Nekter juice bar with added cinnamon. Highly recommend! read more

The store was clean inside and fortunately I came at a time when there was no line. We ordered the key lime pie cookie (chilled), Andes mint chocolate chip Brownie, and the St. Patrick's day cake batter cookie. The key lime pie cookie had a light citrus frosting and the base was very similar to a pie crust. The St. Patrick's cake batter cookie was consistent with a true Crumbl style cookie with a thick, sweet layer of frosting and a moist, almost melt-in-your-mouth cookie base. The Andes mint chocolate chip brownie seemed to have come straight out of the freezer and was impossible to cut. We had to wait until we were home to eat this so that we could cut it with a knife. Fortunately, the brownie was worth the wait! It had a thick layer of mint and chocolate frosting on top of a decadent brownie. Although this isn't a great spot if you're trying to get together with friends or meet for a date due to the absence of seating and take out bakery model, it's a great spot to visit for a quick sugar fix that won't disappoint.

Before leaving, I specifically asked the employee to confirm that everything was included in the order. She assured me there were three bags and that everything was there. When I arrived at my meeting, I discovered that three custom bowls were missing. For an order of this size and value, this level of carelessness is unacceptable. I reached out to Blue Bowl and gave them the opportunity to make this right, but they refused to rectify the mistake. Poor customer service is one thing, but failing to take responsibility after being given the chance to resolve the issue is even more disappointing. I expected much better from a business that charges premium prices. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I can't recommend Blue Bowl.
