The food tasted VERY good! It reminded me of food in Tehran and Vanak! The best part was the bread, freshly baked bread and veggies brought to your table before you order! Right out of the oven!!! This is the best, most authentic place to get kabob in or around town and all of LA county. It blows other kabob restaurants out of the water. This humble location in a small strip shopping area is the newest location of a family owned establishment of over 40 years and you can taste the pride and tradition in every meal they serve. I usually pick up my food to go but have dined in before as well. My favorite is their luleh kabob plate which comes with the fluffiest white rice, charred tomato and pepper and fresh baked bread from a hearth. NO ONE serves a better luleh kabob - they're hands down the best. I've also really enjoyed their ghorme sabzi and liken it to a homemade version. All the starters I've ordered have been delicious too. So far, I have found that everything they serve is outstanding. The owner is usually there and he's very nice and accommodating as are the others that work there. We always enjoy Nersses and can only say that if you haven't been here, you won't understand how good it actually is until you try it. PS. For fellow foodies... the late & great J. I stumbled upon this establishment by accident and I'm very happy I did. I had guest coming in from out of town and this place is an authentic Persian cuisine. If I could give them more stars I would! Service was outstanding and the food was amazing! We had the lamb chops and the dizi (soup). The lamb chops were tender and flavorful, the soup was extremely delicious and I had 3 bowls of it! I have been to many Persian restaurants but never like this, so yourself a favor and try this place out! read more

Worst service I have ever experience in my 48 years. We had to constantly ask for things that we saw other tables get automatically. My wife and I went, thinking to have a nice quiet meal together. The waiter had no sense of customer service and was so rude, a less patient person would have probably taken a swing at him. First, the plate of veggies (radish, onion, etc.) when placed on the table, the radishes slipped off the plate and flew into my lap and on the table. Why? Because the moron of a waiter couldn't keep the small plate level when he was putting it down. We had to ask for menu's twice, then placed our order. At the time we asked to have some butter for the bread and water. That took 10 minutes to get and only came after asking for that twice too. About 5 minutes after we ordered, the waiter brought some food to our table. He handed me one plate and then the manager came and said that it belonged to the table behind us. I had already touched the plate and my thumb had touched the rice. The waiter pulled the plate from me and served it to the other table. Not sure of health department rules, but I wouldn't want a meal served to me that someone else's thumb touched the food of. Then another party of 2 that came 10 minutes after us, was served before we were. After more than 30 minutes of waiting and us complaining about the other table getting served before us, the waiter said that they were here before we were. Total lie. My wife was within earshot and heard them telling the waiter their order just after we gave our order. Finally the food arrived and it came wrong. My wife asked for salad instead of the rice and that's when we had enough and I told them that I'm refusing the food and we were leaving. Then the jackass of a waiter was telling me that I have to accept the food. I told them that it wasn't what we ordered and we were tired of the disrespect we were getting from him. I also told him he needed to work on his customer service skills. The manager came by and then the waiter said to me that I was ignorant. Not even using the word correctly in the message he was trying to convey. Hey buddy, you're the ignorant one when you don't understand the meaning of the word. That's when the manager put his arm in front of the waiter to get him to stop. As we walked out, the idiot waiter then yelled at us to "get an education". I have no idea where that came from, but I am educated with a college degree, I wish I can ask Mr. Waiter what education he has, because I know some high school drop outs that understand better customer service then he demonstrated. One other thing, the price is the same as Raffi's on Broadway in Glendale. You're better off getting the professional waiter there, getting exactly what your ordered, food not getting thrown into your lap AND most likely better tasting. read more

the rudest waiter i have ever seen, we got there at noon the place was empty. every time i wanted to order the waiter walked away from me finally the third time i asked him not to walk away so i could finish ordering. the two appetizers we ordered they were out of, i asked him for bread he grabbed it with his dirty hand and set it on the table. The food was average, the appetizer portions are small for to the prices they charge. Overall, I would skip this place and go to Raffis there is only like a 10% price difference but you get so much more and better service. I had the chicken pieces plate, to go. Chicken was tender and flavorful, rice was moist and on point.
