I've been to New China almost every weekend since moving in to the Dadeland area. As a takeout place, this food is phenomenal. Some dishes are better than others, but it's high quality overall. Not to mention how fast they cook. The reason I take off a star is that they never Greet you. Even if you're a regular customer, the first thing you'll hear is "Ready to Order?" and it's not the most polite thing in the world, but there are more friendly people behind the counter at times. Another good local spot. I've had the sesame chicken dinner meal, lo mein, and dumplings. All were good. Chicken is a bit over breaded but no where near as bad as other spots. I sincerely like this place and will be my Chinese take out destination in the future. Something this place needs to start making is scallion pancakes. It's a huge appetizer seller up north and since moving down here I've noticed no places sell it. Usually a 2-4$ appetizer, simple with a soy vinegar side. I don't understand why this place has such few stars because I have eaten here for years and it has always been really good! Portions are large, food is tasty, prices are reasonable. They always have fast service, whether you do pick up or delivery. This is not a good place for sit-down dining - they have about 3 chairs at a slim counter in the corner of the restaurant. I can't imagine it's very comfortable, especially with people waiting around for orders. I really appreciate that they don't charge me extra for switching out certain items [like the pork fried rice] for vegetarian options because other Chinese restaurants tend to do this. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a typical Americanized Chinese meal - it's so good! read more

They're fast, polite, and the food cheap. Not the best Chinese food, but you get what you pay for. They're located near downtown Dadeland, and anyone who lives around here knows that food is pretty pricey. The place was also blocks from my apartment, so I figured I couldn't really go wrong. Yuck! I ordered a couple things and everything, not just one thing, EVERYTHING was disgusting. I used to live right down the street from this place, & would order frequently. Never ever a problem, and the delivery was beyond fast. It seemed just as I hung up the phone placing my order they were ihthere. It's a family favorite because my while family only orders from here. I used to work at Bed Bath and Beyond and the staff would frequently order from here as well, and the food was never a disappointment, & delivery quick as well. The delivery man, which I always forget to ask his name is always super kind and happy. I mentioned this place to try for one of our catered lunches, & it was a hit! Everyone loved it. When I called the day before to confirm they knew exactly who I was :-) they delivered on time and helped bring it all In and set it up for us. We even got free donuts! The rice tasted microwaved, the meat had no flavor, the shrimp platter I got was filled with vegetables and 6 shrimps and yes no flavor as well. It was mortifying, the worst part is i called in and some young sounding girl literally told me that's not their fault accusing me of lying like people live to order food and create false narratives on a saturday night. I've ordered from this business before and in the past they've been a great choice for Chinese food, however my latest purchase from them has forced me to rethink this. 2 different meals from their Dinner Combination menu was ordered over the weekend, one for myself and one for a guest. I do not know if it was their pork fried rice or the meats used in their main entrees, but we both became victims of food poisoning with symptoms that included (but not limited to) sharp stomach pains/cramps, and nausea. Because of this I cannot wholeheartedly trust nor recommend the food from this establishment to anyone from this day forth. read more
