When I tell you this is the best Chinese food I have had in Florida, let me tell you I've tried A LOT of places, as Chinese is a favorite. New China is leaps and bounds above the rest in flavor! Cooked perfectly, and hot. (Temperature, not spice) Fast, friendly delivery to the hotel room to boot. Had all sauces I asked for, cookies, cutlery and napkins. Every single thing we got was good. I'd like more veggies in the house fried rice-but not complaining about the loaded with meats one I got! Definitely give it a try.we were a6 miles alway and they delivered. read more

I really wanted to love this place. It was one of the highest rated in the area, and I love Chinese food. We got the beef & broccoli, chicken chow mein, general tso chicken, egg drop and wonton soup. The best item was general tso chicken, and it was alright at best. The order had no issues and was very simple to order take out, so I felt that deserved stars. Ok I feel like I'm back in NYC , the only difference is that o didn't ask her to return my dvd or pick up the NYT on the way:) Everything was perfectly prepared, and nicely packaged. Ordering on-line is a breeze and you can select the degree of spiciness and other special requests. We had deliciousness fried dumplings with authentic sauce, general tzo's chicken with white meat ($1 more) and broccoli in garlic sauce. I have been in Tampa for the last 7 years and this is by far the best Chinese food i have had! The spot was clean and welcoming. I ordered the pork fried rice (with onions) and honey wings. I really like how the woman who answered the phone asked if i wanted onions or not and didn't just not or put them in my rice. The rice was extremely flavorful, fresh, and i just melted eating it. The chicken was fried to golden brown and the honey sauce was placed on the side as i requested. Another flavorful meal. What really took the cake was the sweet tea, OMG it was delicious!!! Refreshing and the perfect amount of sugar and tea. A happy balance. I will for sure be returning back and I'am definitely taking advantage of the delivery service! read more

The Szechuan beef tastes like they cooked it in chemicals. The pepper steak had no taste at all. The teriyaki chicken had no flavor, like they put the unseasonal chicken on a grill and called it good. And the hot and sour soup was only hot and not sour. Overall 10/10 would not ever go to again. We live up the street from here so it's a go to place for us when mom and dad don't feel like cooking. The food is good. We always get the dumplings, sometimes fried and sometimes steamed. I use the dumpling sauce on the mei fun when we order that. I've also had the fried scallops, pretty good. Another go to is the sweet and sour chicken. Last night I got honey chicken. It was good but I didn't really taste the honey. The portion on those dishes good sizes. I usually spend $20 dollars for 2-4 items when here so very affordable. Staff is friendly. read more

Lunch deals are killer! We got all this food for around $6 each. So much food! Everything is delicious too. You can substitute the drink for an egg roll, egg drop soup, and there are other options. Been here 3 times so far. My regular china resturant had closed for some reason so I had to seek out a new place. For the first time I got small egg drop and hot and sour soup. Both was good. Also krab rangoons and mei fun noodles. Also both was good. But nothing that I would go crazy for. Second time I got the hot and sour soup and wasn't like last one. This one was more vinegar tasting and almost ruined it by that sour taste should be mild. This last time I love Mongolian beef and gave that a try. I had seen a picture in someone's comment and looked like they used to make it years ago. Beef and green onions with the seasonings. Was told they don't make with green onions but with vegetables. Decided to give a small order a try. Was not Mongolian beef, maybe it was hunan beef with all the vegetables. Was definitely spicy but not too spicy. But did not care for it. Also wanted to get it with fried rice instead of plain white. He said something about pork fried I said ok. But that wasn't very tasty either. Threw those out. I know it could have been just a miscommunication down the line but was money down the drain for me. Will think twice before going again and will be on the hunt again for a new Chinese place. read more

We ordered New China last night on a whim, and after being exhausted from packing up our apartment. This place does not disappoint!! We ordered a gangload of food, and including tip, walked away for less than $40. We ordered egg rolls, won tons, kung pao chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and pork fried rice, with everything being fresh, tasty, and phenomenal. It's shame we're now just discovering this place, since we'll be moving across town in just a few weeks. read more

Stopped by for quick lunch that I ate in my parked car, AC on and tunes jamming. I had the Generals Tso's chicken... it was ok. A bit mushy from the sauce, which tells me the batter did not fry up crispy like it should. Flavor was a bit sweet, and no heat at all ( I was not asked heat level, should have said something).. and General Tso would have been disappointed in it. But I have had much worse... so going 3 stars, and will give them another chance in the future. read more

During the two weeks they were closed due to the pandemic we tried several other local places and every one of them was terrible compared to New China. Quick Summary: Not a lot of thrills and frills, but the food is prepped quickly and they deliver pretty late. This is your typical convenient chinese food delivery/take-out. I've ordered delivery from here and also take out and was pleased with the value that I got. It's very convenient that they take ordering from online (I dunno why, I just prefer not to have to pick up the phone). And for my most recent take-out order, I had some comments that were remnant from my delivery, so they called me to confirm; I thought that was nice of them to double check. I especially enjoy the lo mein. Depending on how hungry you are, a quart of soup and an entree would make a good meal for two people. read more

Hard to do a review without actually having tasted the food but I had to post after my encounter today. I ordered online and thought that I was picking up at the location on Dale Mabry. However when I arrived, they hadn't received my order (I'm honestly not even sure if that location has online ordering). When I got back to my car I had a text from New China checking to make sure that I had the correct location because my home address was so far. That is pretty awesome customer service if you ask me. Beef lo mein is pretty ok, I enjoyed it. Fried chicken is like 50% actual chicken and 50% breading. So basically the chicken wings are quite small and the breding makes it look much bigger than it is, which makes no sense given how much they charge for it. They have a good selection of dishes. I'll pass on the fried rice as well. Overall, I'd go back to try more mostly because their location is so convenient to me. read more

Good food, Fast delivery. So far everything I've tried there has been very tasty. The only problem I had with it is the beef was a little bit too chewy. The people are very nice, almost always are open. It's easy to miss if you're driving to it though as it's in a small strip mall off of Himes. Spare ribs (much too sweet and five-spice overpowering the ribs) egg rolls (fine), steamed dumplings (flavorless) and a few mains that were nothing special. The food was delivered hot but since they forgot napkins and utensils (really!!) we had to scrounge for them downstairs while the food cooled. This is the best Chinese takeout I've had in Florida. Their fried rice and lo mein are fresh and you can tell they fry it to order, not like other places that have it sitting around all day.
