this is the wu-tang of pizza. the food quality reigns supreme over your taste buds and probably your ass too. after eating a slice sasquatch was quoted as saying, "tupac spits that raw heat....and so does this pizza co.". it's rough like marcy projects too. you walk in there jivin out all hard makin them boys check you out they'll think you sketch and ya get ya ass smoked. if you be bringing that noise your probably better off going to pizza hut or some other joint where it's a bit more like the village over there and they're much more accepting of your non-thuggin ways. i recommend this spot to straight gangsters that walk with a pimp lean (and also like good food and also don't whine like 6 yr old bitches with a skinned knees). read more

I honestly don't get the raves about this pizza. I tried it when they first opened. NOT impressed. I also am trying to see where anyone thought it to be friendly. It was clearly not. Supposedly, the owner Marco is supposed to be a huge local supporter. I can tell you otherwise. I actually tried to approach him regarding some local advertising support which would have cost him $0000. Yep ZERO and he wouldn't give the time of day. Not only do I not care for the pizza but will never and I mean never recommend this place to anyone. I only decided to approach NJP because of his personal statements (on the website) made about being an avid local business supporter. Well we now know that is not true. Not sure how he even can make the statement that he uses ALL locally grown/supplied ingredients. FLAGSTAFF CAN NOT EVEN GROW MOST OF WHAT HE USES IN THE SHORT GROWING SEASON THERE IS. I HAVE LIVED HERE 18 YEARS AND QUITE HONESTLY I FOUND THIS PLACE AND ESPECIALLY MARCO TO BE RUDE. Save your money. Go where the pizza is truly great as well as the service. Fratelli's!!! I would rate it higher if it was truly NJ or real east coast pizza, and it's kind of close - but like many other reviewers, the wait time is FAR too long - for dining in or carrying out. It's pretty good pizza - but it is NOT at all worth a one hour + wait. read more

That was by far the worst pizza that I have ever had. There was no mozzarella little sauce and very skimpy ingredients. I ordered pepperoni, sausage, ricotta cheese, and basil. They forgot the basil and the other ingredients were almost non existent. Never again. read more

New Jersey Pizza Co offers the best pizza in Flagstaff. It is the only pizza place that i would order from because the fresh, organic ingredients feel amazing in my body. There is absolutely no reason to complain about the wait when you are getting delicious, hand crafted, healthy pizza in large portions that fill you up for a reasonable price. The staff is friendly and helps customers. The only thing they could do to improve their business is include gluten free pizza in their menu. As a vegetarian who takes joy in natural yet rich flavors, I am very pleased to have found a restaurant where it's ok for my pizza to be delivered up to 90 minutes from the time I placed the order because its the BEST PIZZA IN TOWN. Thought I would try something new boy did I make the wrong choice this pizza is super greasy, paper thin, couldn't identify the meat from the cheese it was just plain disguising got me wondering if we're talking about the same restaurant in these reviews, and over priced but sure their staff was friendly that was the only good thing about this joint. I really wanted to love this place! They claim to use local organic produce and meat suppliers! Yeah, right? It was expensive and it was over an hour wait. We had it delivered to our motel. The crust was completely burnt on the edges, but the middle was a big gloppy mess. After opening the box, boyfriend called the store immediately to complain. The "manager" said he looked at our order when it came out of the oven and it was fine. He also said everyone likes it but us. No offer to remake the order. No offer for a refund and certainly no apology! SOOO we posted pictures of this crap food on their Facebook page. We could not and did not eat it! For some reason, they didn't want anyone to see it and deleted the pictures and blocked us on FB. We ended up ordering another pizza from Pizza Hut. We even joked with the P Hut delivery driver who said he likes NJ Pizza! Until we showed him our pizza. He then said he had never received one that looked like that. All in all we spent over $70 that night to have a stupid pizza delivered. I am not a Pizza Hut fan, but it was 1000x better than the crap they tried to serve us that night. read more

Ok, the thing about pizza joints is, there's one pizza that they do best, and the others vary. What you need to know here is: 1) The basic margherita is the big winner here. Actual Italian flour (not that monsanto wheat crap that gives everyone gas and upset stomachs), in-house made cheese, sauce made from organic AZ San Marzano tomatoes. It is simple and done right. 2) Other places in town may make a good "white" pizza (I'm talkin' bout you, Fratellis), or do fusion cooking on a flatbread (Kale & Artichoke hearts @ Pizzicletta), but here's where you get the real deal. 3) They ain't fast, but they are friendly, and make high quality pies. 4) IF they have it, the chocolate tart is fantastic. 5) If you go for salads, those are fine here as well.They use the freshest and best ingredients in their EVERYTHING they do. 6) My favorite pizza place is John's (Bleeker Street Location, NYC). This is damned close. 7) IF you are a hungry indiscriminate glutton who wants cheese and sauce and perhaps pepperoni on dough for the smallest amount of coin, Little Caesers is just down the street. read more

We hadn't been to New Jersey in a long time, since their customer service suffered from bad attitude (ie, we don't like customers, just your money) although we always liked their pizza. But since our favorite pizza place was closed for a holiday, we tried it. They didn't open til 5pm which was a bit inconvenient. When my husband went to pick up our order, he heard another customer complaining that he had been waiting 20 minutes past his scheduled pick up time. Although the crust, sauce and cheese were good, the veggies seemed to be missing off our vegetarian pizza. (We had been over zealous carnivores all weekend and were trying to make a healthier choice - bad move.) There were a few kalamata olives, a few onion slices, a tomato bit here and there. You needed a magnifiying glass to find them. Guess I had pictured a pie piled high with veggies like most places. And the "extra large" ($22+ including tax) only had 8 medium-size slices on a pie that would be only a large at the most at other pizza places. Don't think we will be revisiting NJ Pizza soon. read more

We have tried this place a few times as we like to buy their homemade mozzarella at the local farmers market. The first time was a bit off so we gave them another shot. Here it goes: they don't answer the phone the first 2 times I call, then I sit on hold to place the order, then again to find out my total and wait time. Was told 30 minutes, showed up after 40 minutes and still had to wait another 15 minutes there. Worst part was, I was the only one there and saw mine was the only pizza being made. Now to the pizza, had I not seen them put it in the box I would have been compelled to check it as it did not seem any heavier than an empty box. I like thin crust, but the problem here is there is virtually no sauce, very little cheese (which I paid extra for) and a smattering of mushrooms (only topping). Finally, the crust was very chewy. Very unsatisfied with this place, there are better pizzas in town for sure. read more

Ingredients, preparation, and taste are good, but the pizzas are pretty lean for the price. Best for a special meal, not for a lot of food for a group or game. Sure, it ranks high for pizza in Flagstaff, but this isn't the Bronx (or New Jersey). Delivery is slow. Quoted times are often 50 minutes, an hour, or over an hour -- making it very hard to plan and count on for any "peak" hour (which pretty much means most of their opening hours). And, it isn't unusual for pizzas to come 20, 30, or 40 minutes after those quoted times. Sometimes you'll get a couple of free sodas for an especially long delay. I've been patient, courteous, and a generous tipper to the drivers, but I'm done. My doorbell was broken (I didn't know), and the deliverer apparently couldn't figure out a way to get my attention in broad daylight while I was sitting in a ground floor front living room with a TV on, all the windows -- including next to the front door -- open, and a clear view from and to the street. Duh? Used to the delays, I waited until half an hour after the quoted time to call the place, and the response, blaming me for a failed delivery, wasn't what a (former) regular customer should get. Maybe something has changed, the website has been down for awhile. Goodbye New Jersey Pizza. read more
