finally got to try here, since Vietnamese cuisine is hard to come by. Ordered the garlic butter rice and special beef pho. waited 15 minutes for it, which is quick considering Pho takes time to make. the women behind the counter were very nice and pleasant taking my order and made sure with me my order was correct which is nice since they get Alot orders, and I can tell anytime I go there to pick up grub hub orders they are understaffed, hope they get relief, since they looked stressed. The rice was very fluffy and so flavorful, I mean it's just garlic and butter infused rice, but really, it's something else. Special beef Pho, beef was sliced very thin and a good portion size for the soup, broth was very flavorful and warming, I drunk the broth, savoring all the flavor. Noodles were tender and very generous in portion as well. fresh veggies were all alright, and added a lot of depth to the broth they floated in. would like to visit again and try drinks and other apps. read more

Classic Banh Mi sandwich was on the small side for the price but made up for it with the taste! Crisp carrots and cilantro complimented the pork and traditional pate, and possibly most important was the excellent baguette that packaged it all. Great variety of dishes for vegetarians and non vegetarians alike. Cozy seating and we were seated right away. I ordered the Com Ga Nuong Mat Ong, which was ordered to perfection. The chicken was tender and flavorful, cooked to the right texture. It also came with a salad, though it wasn't much. All together, the plate was under $10, which is still a steal! Friendly staff and quick service.They also serve Bubble Tea! My only complaint was that they ran out of desert(didn't know that was a thing). Highly recommend this place if you're in the area, especially if you're looking for fresh Asian food. Let me begin by saying it took nearly an hour for everyone to get a God damn water!!! We had to ask 3 or 4 times before we finally got them. It was also about an hour before our orders were taken... I ordered the special beef like the waitress recommended to us and I'm pretty sure there was some testicles in my soup. Good, authentic Vietnamese food at fair prices but slow, inaccurate service. I recommend waiting a few weeks to try this new business for the kinks to be worked out or come with patience. I came at 5pm on a Saturday, during the grand opening week. The parking lot accommodates plenty of cars but looked full from the main road. Inside is a large casual dining room with bear wooden tables, each with the traditional Pho condiments: chile sauce, sriracha, hoisin, fish sauce, soy sauce. Half of the tables were already full. Savory humid air greats you as you walk in from the cold air. Generic electronic piano ambient music was on repeat. The menus have the Saigon Pho Wappingers Falls address, its apparent origin. The food was very good. Summer rolls were fresh and the peanut dipping sauce was savory. A solid appetizer. I didn't actually try their namesake Pho but instead had the Bun Chao Tom ($8.99) which is fried shrimp paste over cold vermicelli noodles with a side of fresh quick pickled vegetable and a sweet vinegar sauce on the side. It was excellent. The shrimp paste is basically like a fish cake but with shrimp that is sliced thin and deep fried. It was salty, savory, and had a nice snap texture. Served hot over the cold noodles was a good contrast. The servers were friendly but you could tell this was a new restaurant with new staff. The main problem was food going to wrong tables and at different times. My wife got her entree and then 15 minutes later they recognized I still didn't have my entree and found it had gone to a different table and was eaten. Once they realized, a fresh dish came out of the kitchen in a few minutes but my wife was already long finished eating. We also had some food we didn't order arrive at our table but we turned it away. I saw similar situations going on at other tables of confused looking patrons saying "I didn't order that". I came early to dinner expecting these kinks with a new restaurant so I wasn't upset. Our dinner took an hour and a half so I wouldn't come if you're in a rush. This place was a very calm and welcoming. Lots of things to capture your attention. Soft subtle music playing to calm you. We had the dumplings and they were delicious with some sort of crunchy noodle on top and scallions. We also each had the seafood pho. The shrimp was delicious but the imitation crab meat had no flavor. My daughter loved her bubble tea, and would have it again! Although this is a no frills restaurant, if you want pho then I would suggest this place. It's perfect for a rainy/snowy, cool day. The kitchen isn't consistent. The first time we ate here, we were happy with our meals. In particular we found the pho to be flavorful and generously portioned with the included meats. The second and third times we ate here were less impressive, but still passable and not bad to fulfill a Vietnamese food craving. The fourth time though- just absolutely horrible! The cha gio was limp and smelled off. In fact, the entire restaurant had an unclean smell about. Our mains took forever, and during our wait we witnessed another table GAGonizing over their food. When ours came, the soup smelled and tasted burnt, and was sour in a way that it absolutely should not have been (e.g. expired, turned ingredients - NOT lime). As we ate (and no we didn't finish our meals), we became increasingly worried about the possibility of food poisoning. We won't be coming back here. read more

Not only is it beautiful on the plate but it is so delicious too! Seriously, the best steamed dumplings around. The pho is just super huge and so flavorful. You can't go wrong with the pho. My new favorite is the chicken in honey sauce. It's sweet and savory deliciousness and is the perfect portion size. And the Thai iced tea... omgoodness. Don't forget to order that and get one to go! This place is always a winner. Their vegetarian pho became something of a go-to comfort food for me when I worked in the area; we were never disappointed! They were take out only for a while (I'm unsure if they still are) and they package the pho broth separately from everything in the soup so it doesn't get soggy, and gives you lots of lime wedges, bean sprouts, soy sauce, sriracha, anything you would want to add to your soup! We ordered two plates of dumplings and only got 1. They were microwaved and lukewarm. The service was so slow. Not once did she check on us or refill our waters. After finishing our meal, we watched the waitress drop an entire container of silverware on the floor and pick them all up and put them back in the container to serve to customers. We waited 10 minutes for our waitress to come bring us the check. Finally we politely asked her for it, and after waiting another 20 minutes, we walked up to the register because she never brought it to us. The bathroom was absolutely filthy. Every surface was sticky. There were dead flies on the windowsill next to our table and dust collecting all over the curtains and fake plants. The waitress would barely look at us or acknowledge us. This place is phenomenal. I was so upset when I moved to the area and learned I had to drive across the river. Then, they opened one here! The food is delicious. I rarely ever stray from my Pho Tai but that's because it's always delicious. The price is exactly what I'd expect but the portions match. I think the most underrated item on this menu that people tend to look over are the Chicken Dumplings. Seriously, they are so delicious. I've been asked to bring them to a potluck and had to order 6 orders. They are phenomenal. The Pork Spring Rolls are also tasty! As soon as you walk into New Saigon Pho, the decor makes you feel like you're genuinely walking into a local favorite in a friendly town in Vietnam. We start off with the Summer Rolls: delicious noodle-wrap rolls filled with Vermicelli and huge shrimp.. pork pieces in the middle; served with a fantastic peanut sauce. We then recieve our enormous, and also DELICIOUS, bowl of Special Combination Pho (meatball, pork loin, steak) with added crab sticks. As you prepare your Pho by adding in the bean sprouts, lime, jalapenos, and appropriate sauces you may be craving, the smells that enter your nose will floor you. Senses of flavor and spice. First time there. Things started off on a sour note. The Vietnamese Chicken wings were ordered as an appetizer but my wife's Beef Salad showed up at the table first. It was very good. The wings showed up with my entree, Pho with Meat Balls and I added brisket. The brisket was not in the Pho. It had to be brought in a seperate small bowl. The Chicken Wings were described as "Butter & Garlic" wings but neither of these flavors were there. They were just plain fried Chicken Wings, nothing special. My Pho was very good as were the pickled veggies. Service was VERY SLOW. There were times not an owner/employee were in the dining area. No one came to the table to ask how the food was. I told the server I wanted the check and she got a phone call and ignored my request for almost 10 minutes. Finally she signaled the owner that I wanted the check. I did not even get a Thank You from the server when I paid the bill. Not sure if we will be back, but the food was very good. read more

Service sucks. My second and last time coming to this location. They take forever to get your order and never bring your drink (but they charge you for it???). The server brought the bean sprouts on the worlds smallest plate there was no way for me to avoid a mess. They never check up on you to see how you're doing.
