My go-to Chinese takeout place. These guys go above and beyond in their food and service. Food comes out fast and dishes with sauce is wrapped with an extra bag. They give you a lot too- I ordered just 3 dishes today and my bag was heavy (like 15 pounds!). And as a Chinese person I can say that the taste for the dishes I usually get is well above average for Chinese takeout. Would highly recommend! read more

First time here I had general tso chicken it was good not as spicy as some portions was good price fair also got a order of shrimp fried rice good also. Grew up down the street and is still one of my favorites, the food has stayed the same for 10+ years but it's always been good. The Old Owner was a treat to see and made the place what it is a pleasure to go to. He used to give out extra stuff to his regulars. I remember the days 8 of us would sit out on the curb with our bike eating that food as kids. I won't say that this is the best Chinese take out. But it's the best Chinese take out in Naperville. Or the surrounding several towns. The food is, as a matter of fact, ridiculously greasy, but that's what makes it great. My friends and I used to make it a habit of ordering this place every Friday after school during Highschool. We'd walk down, pick it up and either eat it there (they used to be able to let you eat in) or take it back to one of our houses and chow down. It's conveniently located for those of us from the south-eastern corner of the city, for anyone who's not a "Ranchview Alumni," it's a pain to get to. Not only was the food good and the person working there was super sweet but she also suggested lo mein instead of chow mein since the lo mein would be softer on my teeth. 1st time customers tonight. My Wife wanted to go to her usual place but I saw this place yesterday and decided to give it a try. I've heard good things before. It's now both of ours "Go to" place for take out! The price was very reasonable for the huge amount of food they give you. We went big and tried 7 different things on the menu. Meats were tender,fried rice was delicious, Mongolian combo platter could be one of the best we've ever tasted, The Crab rangoons were handmade and no doubt about it, The best I've ever had! I adore Chinese cuisine! And I am continuously searching for stellar Chinese food in the Lisle area. I prefer delivery, so my FAV Chinese restaurant in the western suburbs, GEN HOE in Geneva, is too far away to deliver to Lisle. In my search, last night I ordered from New Wok, through Grub Hub. Because I have some serious food allergies, my order included the following caveat for each dish:  "Please: NO MSG, no canned mushrooms, very low salt, very low oil. Thank you!" I was surprised and pleased when, within 5 min of placing my order I received a call from NW to confirm my order. Therefore, I could confirm my special requests. I ordered: 1) House Special with Rice Noodle. Truly 1/2 GALLON!!!! Very flavorful, but not enough rice noodles compared to other ingredients, and the shrimp were overcooked and tough. Rate this dish: . 2) Chicken Almond Ding. Flavorful, however, almonds were not fresh as they were very soft - NOT crisp; I picked them out. Rate this dish: . 3) Tomato and Pepper Beef. My least favorite. ~ Apparently it has become the norm to coat the meat in corn starch prior to cooking. ~ Unfortunately, to me, this leaves the meat with an unpleasant 'mouth feel.' Rate this dish: . The overuse of corn starch in EACH dish is primarily the reason that I do not give a higher rating. I left the remaining food to cool prior to refrigeration. EACH dish turned into a gelatinous MASS due to waaaaay too much corn starch; no juice/gravy/sauce - just mass. Ick. I do cook, and I know only a small amount is required for thickening. NW's pricing is GREAT for the quantity of food! I have enough leftovers to feed the neighborhood. [I will try freezing; however, not sure how the excess use of corn starch will affect the process of reheating.] I made a mistake with my address on GH. The delivery person called me, and although I couldn't really understand him, I gathered that he was proably at the building next to me. I was able to go outsude and flag him down. He cheerfully brought my order to me Delivery fee is only $3.00. I really like this place. I have only been here for the first time but left with a very good first impression. I've been going to this place for almost 10 years and love, love, loved it until last week. Yes the previous owner's niece took over the place. And for a while the quality was the same. But my order last week was absolutely terrible. Mu Shu pork was all cabbage, almost no pork. Vegetable egg foo young has a dark, nasty gravy and the egg part is not good either. Orange chicken was ok, swimming in sauce but it actually had a few pieces of orange rind and broccoli and carrot. I had been alternating between this and Zen House recently. Used to love this place. For the past 5 years it has been our go to local Chinese carry out joint. And then I got food poisoning. I feel like getting food poisoning from a vegetarian option just makes it a little worse. On top of that, I shared some broccoli with our dogs and both of them got sick. These dogs are on a raw diet and have amazing immune systems but broccoli took them down. I'm a few days in and still feel like I may keel over at any moment. Stay away. read more

My family recently move to Naperville, Illinois. We were searching for a place that served Asian food which is a family favorite. After reading the reviews, we were compelled to try New Wok. I have to say this was the worst Asian food we ever ate. The Beef Fried Rice was flavorless. The Orange Chicken was mushy and bland. The Mongolian Beef was sweet and the terrible as well. The only reason I am giving a one star rating is because we did not get sick from eating the food. The only thing we agree upon from the other reviews is the fact that the portion sizes are big. read more
