In my initial review, I was unhappy with how the damage to my item was handled but after speaking to their team in customer service I came to understand there was some miscommunication on both ends. Although my item was damaged, I was impressed on how serious they took my concern and wanted to ensure my happiness with the process. Overall my move was great. They broke down items, put them back together. They even put together items I hadn't removed from the packaging. In the end I tipped the movers, which is not mandatory. In the days leading up to our move we were a bit worried. We were told that our desired moving time was a preference but not a guarantee due to truck scheduling. This was explained quite late in the process as the team member who took our quote to order and asked for the start up questions did not disclose that early on. In fact he did not even ask what our preference was, I had to bring it up. So in the planning phase I was definitely in a 1 star sort of mood. Well Alex, Irland and Max showed up on the day of our move and turned this into a 5 star move! They showed up not just on time but early, and they took care of all our stuff in our condo AND our stuffed 2 car garage! We have a lot of stuff and I mean A LOT! Our steps are also steps that were built in the 50's so they are steep! When I say they hustled I mean it! I have used other movers in the past and in the end we had to move some boxes and furniture because they were so far behind. The Next Moving Company team did not let us lift a finger! They were polite, professional and took good care of all our belongings! I used Next Moving twice. First for a local move, which was great. The second time was for a long distance move, where I was charged for TWICE the cubic ft than was transported. They misrepresented that my final bill would be based on actual volume, but then refused to refund me the difference. We had the pleasure of picking Next moving for our short but packed move and I couldn't recommend them enough! First the 2 movers we had were so polite and treated everything we owned with respect even if it was already beat up. They were extremely communicative with everything and asked plenty of questions when unsure. Our situation was also unique in the old place just having a small elevator and new place having a weird hallway but they somehow made it work. After seeing all the reviews left on here, I was really excited to work with this company. Then the day before my scheduled move, I could tell I had made a mistake picking this company. I had confirmed a 8:30-9:30am window for the movers to come. Then less than 24 hours before the move, I was told over email from Monica, that there was some sort of "error or mistake" and the movers would be there from 2-5. I had already arranged the whole day for dropping my dog off at daycare, picking up my new keys, etc and I was furious. After some back and forth, they eventually fixed it back to the 8:30-9:30am. But at this point it was a huge red flag. Then the day of, I was never updated or told when the TV instillation would happen. I had to email Monica multiple times to get confirmation and eventually got an answer. Again, very stressful. This 2 bedroom w/ garage move took almost 10 HOURS. That is insane!!!! I've moved a dozen time before and have never had anything take that long with 3 movers. I saw many times them just standing around and on their phones. Even sending a note to this company after the fact about this horrible experience, I never heard anything back. I'm sure they'll reach out now, but too little too late. After spending $1600 plus $200 tip, you'd expect great service and communication... absolutely not. There are so many other places, please think twice about using Next Moving. They also only care about your feedback when you post it on a public forum. So once I posted this yelp review, I heard some generic outreach. They have their own truck, tools, packing equipment and they are highly professional. They take special care to make sure they don't break your stuff. It takes skill and experience to know how to not break your stuff. They also wrapped the big things like the tv and large items in plastic. They worked from start to finish. Would recommend 10/10 times. I hopefully don't have to move again for a while, but when I do I will hire next moving company. I have no complaints with their service. For loading and packing it was 3 people and for delivery was only 2. They were upfront about the cost, happy with their service.
