So I booked a week out Sunday morning 8am after booking I was told that time slot not available-1 star they told me 2pm ok that's fine I thought then I get the confirmation call and they tell me 2-5pm ok I'll just head down to my storage early and get ready then I get a call that it will be 6:30 so -1 more star then so I drive home to long to wait then I drive back to storage and I get a call about 6:30 that it will be another 50 min !!! So at 7:40pm they arrive now these guys kicked butt and worked very efficiently and wasted no time they loaded everything carefully without damage and then unloaded fast I would recommend and use again wish they were on time I would of given them 5 stars read more

The movers I had were extremely fast and professional. They were able to squeeze my couch out of my old apartment and into my new one with ease. They packed up my kitchenware and delicate items with care. A heads up, if they get a parking ticket during the move, you are responsible for covering the cost (which makes sense and is totally reasonable). Just make sure you have a spot for them to park when they are loading and unloading. Only minor comment was that I requested the movers at 8am and was told they would arrive between 8-9am. They arrived at 9am and wish they would've come a little earlier. But they were fast so the hour was negligible in the end. read more

I had a very good experience with Next Moving Company. I bought some new furniture and the furniture store was supposed to deliver it but their delivery guys couldn't get the sofa up the stairs to my 3rd-floor apartment. So I found Next Moving on Yelp and hired them. Their crew met me at the furniture store where they re-wrapped my furniture with moving blankets and stretch wrap, in place of the original wrapping that had been removed by the furniture store's delivery guys. The crew from Next had no trouble getting my sofa up the tight staircase and everything arrived in perfect condition. The final bill was what I was quoted, no surprises. Excellent service, again. The team was on time, friendly & ready to work. My furniture was wrapped in blankets and plastic. Even the delicate stuff was thoughtfully and carefully packed up. My home has a lot of tight corners and a long set of stairs. I was pleasantly surprised how well all the furniture delivered. Hired three people from NEXT for a partial two bedroom job, from West LA to Long Beach, and they finished in four hours start to finish. Arrived on time, scoped the place first and asked relevant questions, and immediately went to work. All young guys, no beer bellies or slow workers, all friendly and professional. Very methodical and knew exactly what they were doing. Disassembled bed frames and expertly reassembled at destination. Helped dispose of unneeded small furniture by carrying them to garbage area. Helped relocate furniture being left behind. Destination was a condo with a not very big elevator - accessible from an interior garage, but they made systematic trips from the truck and got everything upstairs. These guys are very good at what they do and it was a more pleasant move than I expected. Highly recommended, and one of the lowest rates in Los Angeles. I submitted my information online for a quote, and I then received a call from a friendly employee to verify my info and provide additional details. The appointment process was quick and easy. The day of the move, I received a heads-up call from the movers on their approx. arrival time and I assisted them to the apartment loading area. The pair of movers were friendly and attentive to my needs with the furniture to be moved. The furniture was wrapped securely and handled carefully from one apartment to the other, unfortunately on a hot day. I would recommend them based on the value I received from the service and professionalism of the company. I used Next Moving for an overnight long distance move from Michigan to Maryland. I was offered 2 movers and one "fully equipped truck." They sent one driver, Dan, who flew to Michigan, rented a truck, and hired local help in each location for help with loading and unloading. I was overall quite disappointed with my experience and surprised with the issues encountered based on all the positive reviews. Here are some of my concerns: - The truck was far too large for my move (at least three times too big), and my driver, Dan, had some difficulty maneuvering it into a parking spot. I requested the length the day before (it was not communicated without me asking) to ensure I reserved enough parking, but it would be nice if the expectations for parking and space needed to maneuver it were communicated ahead of time. - The payment was expected to be paid 50% at load and 50% at unload but this was never communicated to me so I prepared only one cashiers check. They were accommodating but this could easily be resolved with better communication before the move. - They did not have any tools for disassembly or assembly. I fortunately had not packed away all my tools and offered mine for them to use, however they broke and lost some tools during the move. - When Dan arrived to unload he said his local help did not show up. The help in Michigan said they had only been called that morning to help, so I wonder if they simply couldn't find someone to help on such short notice, but either way ultimately I was left with only one mover to unload the entire truck and some big pieces of furniture. I helped with some things when Dan asked, like the mattress and couch, because I wanted to ensure those things were safely moved inside without damage. - Most boxes were crushed, even though they were tightly packed. Fortunately I had used enough protective packing materials that only a few items broke. - Finally there was some damage done to my wood floors, that I filed claim for and they offered a nominal reimbursement to cover. I was pleased to have overnight delivery, but given this experience I would not use this company again and do not recommend them. Better communication could resolve some of the issues, but the quality of the move and services provided were also a major issue. After my mother (who was also present for the move) posted a critical but honest review, I received a call from Ian. I had already communicated most of these concerns to Ian when he called for a survey the day of the move, and this was about two weeks later. Instead of him being understanding and willing to help resolve the complaints, he was confrontational and offensive. After these interactions I further regret hiring this company and cannot emphasize enough how much I do not recommend working with them. He offered me $300 to have my mom remove her review or increase the star rating. This is a negligible amount compared to what I paid and certainly not enough to demonstrate genuine remorse for the disappointing and unprofessional service I received. Also none of the movers wore masks or gloves, if this is something you are concerned about I would contact the movers before their arrival and confirm they will follow the protocol they mention on the website. UPDATES in response to Ian's reply: My opinion of Next Moving DID change after speaking to Ian over the phone when he called to complain about my mom's reviews. Not because he wouldn't consider reimbursing to a cost in which poor service would have been more fair but because of his clear goal to manipulate customer reviews and extremely confrontational tone. Up until this point I thought I just had a one-off bad experience with this company and I now believe he attempts to bully customers into removing or changing reviews. Some of his statements are completely false. Such as, Dan my driver did ask for my help moving two items and I obliged because I wanted to ensure as little damage as possible to my items (which I did state in my initial review). Ian was not there but him questioning my honestly again shows his true attitude towards customers. The allen wrench key mentioned was lost not damaged and he broke a set of tools that I didn't ask to be reimbursed for but noted in my review as part of the overall poor service. Referencing that Dan has to unload the entire truck clearly refers to everything that was on the truck, that was not implying that I filled the entire 26 ft truck. It was a 1 bedroom move but still my couch and mattress were too big for Dan to unload himself. Buyer beware! read more

We used Next Moving Company in August and were quite happy with their service and efficiency (especially their efficiency, these cats were FAST!). Best part, nothing was damaged, not our boxes, furniture or electronics. That's a BIG thing when considering a moving company. They also had an add-on service where they removed your tv and mount and an installer met you at your home and installed it to your specifications, based on the set up of your new home. He was really nice and quick with the install, I was ready to go for my NFL preseason! Everyone was super cool and had great attitudes, considering it was blazing hot outside.
