I would have given 4 stars on this review but I was charged for extra items that I asked for to eat with the Crispy CatFish. 1. They did not give us enough rice papers for 6 adults to go with the large order of crispy catfish. So they charged $2 for additional 8 rice papers that we only used 4. 2. When asked for extra cucumber and pickled (carrots/daikon). They charged $5 for about 8 slides of cucumbers and a small pinch of pickled stuff.... Which is absolutely ridiculous! What is the point of serving a large fish but only provided a dozen of rice paper and half dozen slices of cucumbers?? We ordered a couple more appetizers to go along with the crispy fish and they were great: 1. Cuốn cải bẹ xanh 2. Gỏi ngó sen tôm thịt I like the food but please don't scrape people's wallet for more money on condiments that they should have provided adequately with the main dish items. If you're going to charge the diners, at least have the decency of bringing the additional charges at the time so diners can be aware. I did not look at the bill until the next day and saw these additional charges. No other restaurants in Little Saigon would charge diners for extras without verbal notifications. read more

I rated 1 star for the ethic of this restaurant. I don't have complain about food or services (staffs are nice). The big issue to me is when we made reservation we also placed order in advance so the food would be ready at the time our arrival. We ordered a medium grilled fish and others. When we arrived every thing was perfect. Foods were ready. The fish looks medium size to me. But when we got a bill it's billed for a large size fish. It's not about money but at least if they didn't have the medium fish they had to let us know when we arrived. We would be willing to take it as we like to eat here. It's about the honesty and the respect. In the end the waitress didn't know because the one took our order was the owner/manager there and she wasn't there at the time we had question. We like the restaurant but it's better if it's be clear and honest to customers. We had so much here: Phu ap chao was delicious (I heard it was one if their specialties) Mi bo kho (beef stew with egg noodles)- mediocre; didn't have that "bo kho" smell and want as tasty as it could be Bun cha -wasn't as flavorful, just ok Oc Len xao dua-love the sauce! They chopped the back end of the shell so it was hard to suck it out. Bun thit Nuong cha gio - was just like any other bun thit nuong, but we've had better Com bo luc lac - delicious Thai tea- was a bit to much tea for how much half and half they put. And a tad watered down (not by the ice I had btw) All in all food was good, but wasn't great. Would definitely recommend for the establishment and cleanliness of the restaurant. Not even the first time. We ordered the food. They did not bring out one of the dishes but still charge on the receipt. It will take forever for them to help you fix the receipt or to refund to you. I really like their food. My favorite dish are "com chay ca kho to", and "goi". The restaurant is set up as small banquet, old fashion decor, with karaoke, good for a small wedding or a birthday party, with a separate room for private events. There are always "get together" events every time I come. The only reason why I don't give them 5 stars is because the service can be a bit slow. We ordered catered food for my sister's pre-wedding BBQ this past weekend and the food was amazing even after a 2 hour car ride to Temecula. We ordered the garlic noodles with shaken beef which was fantastic! The noodles were cooked perfectly and the beef was tender and had lots of flavor. I went back for seconds but it was all gone. We also ordered the salty fish fried rice and papaya salad which was perfectly refreshing for the hot weather. We also had orders of their avocado shrimp salad and macaroni soup. OMG. The foods are so nasty and the service was horrific. I made a reservation for a party of 13 people on a Saturday night. First of all, they had 2 servers running half of the restaurants. It was so so so so slow. When I asked the waiter why he told me the owner did not want to hire. I order canh chua-it was so bland and the broth was so white. Bo tai chanh meat was black and the sauce was sweet. Com chay was okay-nothing specials. The only thing was good was the alvocado salad and the egg rolls. Bill came out to $6+. I don't mind the tip, but Jesus Christ, I felt like I was being robbed. The next day my parents met up with friends and they suggested this place again. The whole night there was 2 tables. Party of 4 and 2. The whole entire night. To be frank, I haven't eaten at this place since it was last Bo pabolac back in the 90's. This restaurant has a mind of their own about hours of operation despite posting on Doordash and on yelp: twice I showed up on the day that they are supposed to be opened and being turn away because they decide to close for no reason. Twice my order through doordash got canceled (45 mins into waiting) because the driver showed up to a closed restaurant. It must be nice to have a restaurant that would be opened whenever they feel like it. Maybe a different line of work is better for the owner(s). read more

This place is pretty mediocre, especially in terms of food and service. I came here a couple days ago with my family. The interior leans towards "fine dining", or at least that's what they're going for, and while it does look nicer than traditional Vietnamese restaurants, it comes off a bit tacky. I think because of the "fine dining" aspect that they try to instill, they charge more for dishes that are a lot cheaper at more authentic Vietnamese places without the faux bougie looking atmosphere. The menu is pretty extensive and you can tell what their specialties are (the garlic noodles, for example). You can also tell because they make these dishes VERY quickly and if you order anything outside of their special dishes, they make it very slow. I ordered the garlic noodles and started eating before my sister did and by the time I finished she was still waiting on her food. The hostess was kind enough about it and apologized several times and gave us a discount on our meal since we ended up canceling the order (it was taking far too long), but she still did lie to us when she kept saying that the chef was 'working on it' and that it would 'come out soon'. She admitted that the chef had forgotten about the order. Overall, I wouldn't really recommend this place. I would rather go to other Asian fusion restaurants with the same price tag on their dishes, or go to authentic lowkey Vietnamese restaurants. read more

I was there on a Sunday afternoon for a Birthday party. The place was deserted with only about 3 tables of guests (including ours, a party of 12). I asked the lady manager (or owner) to put the cake in the refrigerator. She answered me "give it to the waiters to put it in for you" and walked away. What kind of attitude was that? That was her way of saying "I am the boss here, I don't have to serve the customers". This woman must be a "nouveau riche", a low-class Vietnamese who just became rich, still has her superior attitude of the VN boss even though she wants to immigrate in the US. The service was extremely slow, you asked for some napkins, and you have to wait for 15 minutes. Only 1 waiter for the whole place, the owner was too cheap to hire more help! Don't waste your money in this place bc the food was average, awful service and the attitude of the owner STINKS!! No wonder we're losing to the Chinese bc at a Chinese restaurant, you cannot tell who's the boss bc the Chinese boss works harder than the employees ... read more
