Went here with friends and it was amazing. My friend knew the owner. I don't really know what to order when at a Vietnamese restaurant so it was great to have my buddy do it. The place was very clean and had a lot of people already eating. We were seated right away. The food was fantastic. From start to finish everything tasted so good. The stuff I like especially was the fish dishes. The soup with whole pieces of fish was my favorite. We had 2 different rolls one veggi and the other had meat. Both different and great flavor. I didn't take too many photos since I was starving and trying to take all of the food in. We must have had 10 dishes. Totally stuffed and I loved it. I definitely will be coming back for more. The staff was amazing.

Heard about this place from a friend so we decided to try it out since we were in the area. This is quite a large restaurant that is divided into two dining rooms. There was a private party in the other space and we could hear loud music and some karaoke singing. The right side dining room that we were in had a center stage and looks like you can fit a hundred people for a party. Food was very good. We really enjoyed the grilled shrimp. Service was attentive. The owner lady walked around several times asking us if we need anything. Parking can be a challenge when there's a large party going on.

3.5 stars. Ngoc Suong Restaurant was a bit strange to walk into since it was somewhat fancy but also casual. I'm thinking you can host a micro-wedding here if needed? Came in on a Friday around 6pm and it looked dead from the outside. There were only 2 other parties eating when we were seated. And that was it till closing. Anyways, the food was actually good but it was really overpriced for what it is. Service was decent, not too attentive but also not lacking. Ca Kho To - A staple dish in the Vietnamese household. The fish was fresh and did not have a fishy taste. The caramelized sauce was sweet and salty and went well with white rice. I'd say it was a little too salty but not bad if you're having rice. Cuon cai be xanh - I can't imagine where they thought charging over $4 per roll was reasonable. I get it's a little specialized but that's insane for spring rolls. It was good overall and different from your usual, but way too overpriced. Canh Chua - another household dish but it was just alright to me. Goi with Tom and muc - we were indecisive between the shrimp or squid, so they were able to do half/half. The salad itself was flavorful so you didn't need to add much fish sauce. It was a refreshing dish to have as a side.

Had a wonderful birthday experience here. We ordered the large catfish and the fish was moist and came with a wonderful spread of herbs, veggies, rice paper, and noodles. It was delicious and fresh and the service was amazing Will definitely come back and try other items.

This is both a restaurant and an event space. Food was decent. Service was a bit disorganized. * Simmered Catfish (ca bong lau kho to) 4.5/5 - The caramelized fish (ca kho) was very good. The catfish was pretty fatty but that's just how the fish is. I enjoyed this. * Simmered pork ribs (Suon ram) 3.5/5 - This was okay. The ribs were salty, but didn't have a lot of flavors. It was also a little too sweet.

Delicious family style food! I greatly enjoyed every dish. Each dish is quite large and perfect for sharing with the family. My party was a party of 8 people. The garlic noodles with lobster tails - the tails are huge! Also, the garlic noodles slightly had a nice creamy sauce on them. Sooo good and different than just your regular ole butter garlic noodles. Since the lobster tails are so large, this dish does take some time to make but well worth it. Oc Len xao dua was great! It had a lot of ocs in them - definitely did not skimp. Didn't have heavy coconut flavor but still good sauce. This was my first time having this kind of goi / salad. Never had it with fried fish before but it was soo yummy! Very rare dish, as it is typically not on any menus of most viet restaurants. I enjoyed the meat in the Banh hoi Thit nuong; it was sliced in small bite sized pieces and well flavored, tender too! Overall, great place for family style dining! Would like to come back :)

My family and I had lunch here today on a Sunday. We made reservation ahead of time for 12 people and got two round tables put together. There was a huge Christmas party for senior people in the main area with the whole stage and karaoke and dancing so it was extremely loud but lively....i guess free entertainment? The service itself we really like actually. They definitely did not have enough staff but all their limited staff worked so hard and were so accommodating and so nice! The owner was super nice and sweet too and she was super busy tending everywhere. We got two orders of the large size baked catfish (abkur $69.99 each) and the portion and all the veggies dipping sauce rice noodle that came with it was a lot more than at other restaurant! We also got the caramelized catfish which was really good. Two bowls of the canh chua tom (Vietnamese sweet and sour soup with shrimp), and one com chay with cha bong and lap xuong (burnt rice with shredded pork and Chinese sausage). Portions were big so we did not finish our food at all. Good thing we did not order more! Oh we also for egg rolls which was also really good! Overall everything was really tasty and yummy and they were very accommodating trying to get our orders in early so we won't get delayed with the huge senior party's orders. I would definitely recommend this place for family style sharing and if you have families and friends visiting this is the place to take them for Vietnamese food!

This is the restaurant to go to if you want authentic Vietnamese food. We ordered a medium baked catfish that came with an assortment of veggies, vermicelli noodles, and rice paper so we could make our own rolls. The skin of the fish was extra crispy while the flesh was juicy. It was absolutely delicious! They had a variety of dipping sauces. I loved the tamarind sauce. We also ordered the Cuon Ca Be Xanh, which is pork belly and shrimp wrapped in a green leaf veggie, kinda like a green leaf lettuce. It was soooooo yummy! The restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated. There was classical jazz playing in the background, which created a romantic ambiance. Nice place for a date when you want Vietnamese food! Our server was pleasant and took good care of us. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Delicious spot for family-style dining! What I liked about this spot was how big the portions were and the sheer variety of dishes they have, making it a good spot for celebrations and groups. Everything I tried was tasty, especially the tomato tofu, sweet and sour fish soup, clay pot fish, and tamarind shrimp. The spot also has a large parking lot, which is super convenient.

Garlic noodles + house special shrimp!!! Flavorful and filling! This is prolly the type of establishment where your hip uncle or aunt would have a party lol it's ok to come here in singles or couples ========= $40 so kinda exp, but the portions are relatively large. Service was pretty friendly and the restaurant was quiet at 430pm. Garlic noodles with beef + mushrooms Less buttery than other places, but served with thicc pieces of sautéed beef + button mushrooms . This dish wasn't dry and def shareable. The egg noodles are bouncy and chewy, none of that spaghetti you tend to see :) House special shrimp This is under the main courses, and it came with 4 meaty ish pieces of shrimp. The sauce is on the sweet side, and I wanted something pickled to eat alongside this, but still super enjoyable! I togoed the sauce to eat with other things hehe Open on Tuesday and the food comes out quick! They even got a couple seafood dishes like oc and lau, and tho the menu is very extensive, they definitely got some gems here.

Solid traditional Viet banquet style restaurant in the heart of Little Saigon. Their menu is pretty extensive from noodles to seafood and Viet style hot pot. Recommend the fried Catfish (ca nuong), seafood Hot pot, and the scallops.

This is one of those full-service, banquet style restaurants that specializes in seafood and many Vietnamese family style favorites. I feel like these bigger restaurants that could accommodate huge groups are going the way of the dodo bird. The last time I came here was when my parents were in town, and a bunch of my aunts and uncles and family friends met up here for a late lunch/ early dinner. I thought all the food here was delicious and it reminded me somewhat of the stuff that my mom made when I was growing up. I thought the lobster garlic and those were great. And the comforting dishes like the fish sweet and sour soup, the braised fish, the shaking beef, and various sautéed veggies were all wonderful. I thought the service was fine too. But maybe it helps to speak Vietnamese here ha ha. I didn't do any of the ordering, but it seemed like it was very easy and they were attentive and accommodating to our group. Also, I must note that it helps to go to a place like this when a generous family member is picking up the tab. I'm sure it was quite expensive , but I can't speak to that. Overall, if you want a delicious meal with lots of traditional dishes available and be able to have a nice sit down meal with a giant family, this is a great place. I seriously can't think of a lot of restaurants that you would be able to say the same with.

Along with that, our table also ordered: the quail with sticky rice ($20.99), salted fish and shrimp fried rice ($24.99), shaken beef with garlic noodles ($22.99), bok choy with sautéed garlic ($12.99), a hot tea ($4.00), Coca-Cola ($5.50), a mojito ($15.00), and a margarita ($15.00). With tax ($17.71), our ticket was $209.16 before gratuity. The NOLA Grilled Oysters come sizzling on a hot griddle, with four different fillings, four pieces each, for a total of 16 oysters. The price might seem a bit indulgent, but not if you consider the effort and ingredients that go into this presentation. Each type was flavorful, and there wasn't a single one I didn't enjoy. The salted fish fried rice was an interesting experience. I enjoyed the dish, though the salted fish was less salty than I expected. Someone in our group, who usually doesn't like salted fish fried rice because they find it too salty, actually liked this version for its milder flavor. The plate also includes four large shrimp. The shaken beef was tasty and tender; the garlic noodles were al dente and had just enough garlic--not excessive. The sautéed garlic added a smoky, nutty taste to the bok choy. The quail was marinated well and tasted good--but I wonder if it was fried just a bit too long. After this meal, I chatted with a friend who lives in the community. He'd been to this spot before but dismissed it as just another seafood boil joint. After our conversation, though, he said he'd be willing to give it another shot. I guess your impression of this restaurant depends, at least in part, on what you order. The service, by the way, was excellent. The dining environment was clean and comfortable, with plenty of television screens so people could keep up with World Cup matches.

They're tender, flavourful, and perfectly seasoned without being overly salty or heavy. And I have to mention the satay. I'm not sure if they make it in-house or use a specific brand, but whatever they're doing, it's one of the best satays I've had and better than pretty much any store-bought brand I've tried and better than a lot of what I've had at other restaurants.

My clams were HUGE. I honestly have not seen clams this big in a while. The corn was succulent and sweet, and the slices of sausage were tender and hefty sizes as well. I love that I definitely got what I paid for. I also noticed they put the bag upside down so that when you flip it over, all the sauce coats the seafood. Such a small detail, but I thought that was pretty clever, unless that wasn't even intentional? haha. For what I ordered specifically, I paid $37, which I thought was such a good price. Our server raved about the coconut prawns, which were $60, and unfortunately, they were not worth it for me. Long wait, loud atmosphere, questionable $60 prawns... but I'd still come back for the seafood.

Folks always talk about how there are certain types of restaurants they avoid. Mostly it's because…read more they don't like the taste of the cuisine. Or maybe they like the cuisine, but for health reasons they've been told to avoid eating it. I know for me I just haven't come around to a lot of Asian cuisines that are focused on high vegetable and low protein content. But to this day Toby and I have never shared a seafood boil together. She has a germaphobe reaction to eating food with her hands and there's no easy way to knife-and-fork stuff like shrimp, crawfish, crab, or lobster. She's offered to get something else like fish n' chips or a plain steak or something, while I get myself a boil. However, one of the joys of boils is digging into a mound of Cajun-flavored seafood together as a group effort. A wondrous temple to the art like Roux Seafood Kitchen would be wasted on her. I couldn't get enough of their shrimp and crawfish. They were both plump, flavorful, and disassembled easy in my hands. At a lb. each, I was more than stuffed at meal's end. I think the only thing that could've made it better is if I had ordered a lobster tail in there. That would've been my ideal order. The service was great here for my party. The drinks were refilled quickly, the food was brought out in an efficient manner, and even the order taking was controlled in what kind of have been haphazard conditions. I liked the ambiance too. The dining room was a spacious and accommodating. The music was low. And the crowds were busy but not super full, which is where I like it. Nobody was on top of each other at neighboring tables and the noise level wasn't drowning. All in all, I think this is the perfect example of a seafood boil joint. The only thing that could've made it better is if my oldest eating buddy (and ex) could've miraculously gotten over her condition and joined me. That's the dream.

This festive News Orieans-inspired resto with Asian flair in Huntington Beach did not disappoint!…read moreIt's a few miles away from the beach, but it is on busy Beach Blvd! We just ordered two staples: Jambalaya & Shrimp Etoufee. Entrees came out in about 20 minutes hot, fresh & amply sized. They're reasonably priced, too! I'm glad we didn't order any apps b/c the entrees were more than enough food. Thought about getting the beignets, but I could not find any more room to fit them in! I had a glass of KJ Chardonnay to accompany the meal and it was pleasant. Service was very friendly and helpful from both servers working today. 5% discount if you use cash! Plenty of parking in the lot. Peace.
