    Chicken Bowl
    Aracely N.

The food here is always as delicious as the first time I ever had it. So far I've tried the chicken bowl, the Chinese chicken salad, and a cheese croissant. I've eating all these foods multiple times because I just can't get enough. The taste is amazing and whatever spices they use for their chicken bowl are the perfect mix. I don't even like vegetables but I'll eat every single thing on the plate. The service is always top tier and I feel very welcomed anytime I walk in. You get so much food at a price that doesn't hurt your pocket. I'm glad my coworkers suggested this place because I'm obsessed.

Wow, quality food at an extremely reasonable price! I came across the Nibble Nook Too when I happened to be Encino and I wanted a quick bite to eat! It was a bit hard to find in the beginning, but if you just enter the front of the building at the given address on Yelp, then the shop is located on the same floor near the elevators! Parking was limited to street parking, but there was plenty in the area around the building! The owner greeted me and she was so kind! I noticed the specials, but I decided to order the Chinese Chicken Salad. Let me tell you right now, that Chinese Chicken Salad was so amazing! The owner (her name was Helen I believe) told me that she makes the dressing herself and I was truly amazed. Not only was it at a reasonable price which was around $7-8, but it was so filling and delicious. That salad had to be one of the best salads I've ever tasted. I really wish I took a photo of the salad. Other than that, the sandwich shop contains other items like chips, soda, ice cream, and coffee. It's almost like a small convenience store that also functions like a restaurant. I will definitely come back to try the other items and I did notice that they had Asian food available in addition to the many sandwich and salad options they had. Overall, I was really impressed by the quality of food at the Nibble Nook Too. I would recommend it to anyone in the area to try! The food is also priced so reasonably too and it's definitely very filling! They're very generous with their portions as I saw from the other people that were eating inside!

Good food, decent prices, polite service. The portions aren't huge, but you can tell it's real ingredients made from scratch

The waitstaff was friendly and poliete especially when we were wrapping up and they clearly wanted to finish closing the resturant, which I understood. We tried the Mongolian Beef and the chicken with Broccoli. Both were quite good. No issues just straight up traditional american chinese dishes. I did find it a bit funny that the booth seats are covered in fabric with all of the states names on them, also it definitely seems like this place has been around for a while, but in a good way. The restaurant has a lived in feel to it and to have food coming out even close to close that was as delightful as our order was is a sign of a place with great staff and good food. I want to come back and try more of the menu but hopefully earlier in the day.

Things are changing here! Growing up it was my favorite restaurant. Now it's really falling apart…read more The lady with the glasses who works here was annoyed I asked for sweet and sour sauce. Then another time when I asked her for more crispy wontons that we are served as an appetizer, she didn't even respond. She just walked away and when she came back, I made sure to thank her and smile, but she really didn't seem thrilled. Also, each time after someone leaves, they clean the tables with a very strong smelling chemical product, and the smell lingers in the air , it's really overpowering. The menus are also extremely greasy and sticky to the touch. The food itself was good, my go to is the Chefs Special Shrimp, a crispy fried shrimp dish, covered in a sweet and lightly spicy sauce with steamed broccoli. The wonton soup is also very flavorful and I always ask for extra wontons added the wontons have a very savory and Taky flavor as they are filled with pork and ginger and they come with lots of yummy veggies, like spinach, mushrooms, slices of chicken breast and shrimp. The reason I keep returning is because the food is really good. Although certain menu items like the orange chicken have completely changed flavor over the years. Whats definitely a huge turn off is the not great service here and also the sticky and dirty decor. It's definitely not a welcoming ambience

So we decided to give them a try. WORST. CHINESE FOOD. EVER!!! There are cheap Chinese fast food takeout that are way more delicious than they are. Their food is about as below average as those cheap bad Chinese fast food takeout. The noodles and steamed rice smelled like old burlap sack! The food we ordered either had no taste, not tasty at all, or it smelled. My mom and I swore we'd never go back. A couple of weeks ago, I was craving fried noodles. I don't know why I decided to give them a try again. What a waste of money!!! One thing improved, I guess... At least the noodles didn't smell like old burlap sack. As for taste... zero, nothing, bland AF and to top it all off, the noodles were over cooked so it's mushy!!! Seriously a Chinese restaurant who can't cook noodles??? WTH??? Anyway... It was disgusting! I ate a few bites, threw away the rest. What a waste of money!!! I don't know who keeps giving them praises for their food. May be those people just don't know any better and they've never had any good Chinese food. Golden City is definitely a "HELL NO! Never again!!!" for me. Perhaps it's because I'm Chinese that I hold a higher standard, but seriously... this place was disgustingly inedible!

Walked in today at 3:45 pm and was greeted by the host name Melody and she took us to our table. A minute later, Luis, our server came to take our order. We ordered 4 items that could have fed an entire Army. It really was a lot of food. Generous portions and still had left overs to take home. We got small orange chicken, which was more like a large size, ($14.49), Chicken Steamed Dumplings ($7.99), Vegetable egg rolls (4) pieces(8.99), and their House Special Fried Rice that came with: chicken, beef, shrimp, eggs, peas, carrots & green onions.(16.99). Luis & Bryan were very nice, pleasant, kind and very attentive. They checked on us like 4 times. Our food came out fast, tasted fresh, hot and delicious. Let me not forget to tell you that the minute you sit down, they bring Complimentary hot Green tea in a teapot. The restaurant along with the restroom were very clean. 10/10. We thought it would arrive first since the meats were all ready to go in the takeout area. It came with some hoisin sauce. The char siu was tasty. There was plenty food for 3 people and still had leftovers to take home.
