I stopped in to get some pizza before heading back to California and I'm glad I did. Staff was very nice and the slices were delicious

They never disappoint! Wife and I have been on diets, pizza is not on our menu. But daughter said she was craving a calzone. Then wife said why make 2 dinners, so we broke down and got pizza so she could have her calzone. Never having a calzone there , I couldn't speak to them, but we all know Nicks has THE best pizza in all of Syracuse, and the wings, esp char grilled are spot on. Daughter, the LeMoyne student that lives on campus and they hit some SU joint famous for calzones thought it was fantastic, which says alot! I mean she said it was unbelievable, bigger, fresher and way better, for same cost. Wife and i had xlarge shroom/sausage. Omg it was great! We ate 1/3 of it, but those huge slices are like NYC pie. I work off thompson, drove home, then they said they wanted Nicks, so i drove back from brewerton! One hour round trip, when i could have gone to many other places in 15 min round trip. I would do it again, and the staff and cleanliness of the place, WELL worth it. Reasonable prices too, yeah more than chain places, but please..... don't even try to compare! Read someone saying popa johns and nicks in same breath.... like saying mickyDs and 5 guys. Please.... read more

I love nicks pizza so sad about moving, would go there 3 times a week for lunch lol , its my favorite pizza place in the Syracuse area. Fantastic New York style pizza at a great price! I have never had a bad experience there. Will stop there anytime I visit thanks again :) read more

I went to Nick's Pizza on Sunday with my family. Nick helped me decide on "Mediterranean Pizza" along with char-grilled wings. I could see him tired, probably from long hours but started to work on the pizza immediately with a passion and care. We dined in and it was one of the best pizza I have had for a long time. The wings were equally good. We drove about 20 miles to try Nick's pizza and the drive was worth it. Nick was very nice and attentive. When we told him that our son is allergic to dairy, he even wanted to prepare special kind of wings just for our son. Nick's pizza will be our frequent stop and I recommend everyone to try it at least for once. read more

Ok, I've been back to Nick's twice since my original review and things have gone downhill. I ordered a calzone here recently and it was inedible due to the grease, cheese, and criminally undercooked center-dough. I chalked that up to misfortune and tried a stromboli next time around...same exact issue as the calzone. The ratio of undercooked dough to cheese was an incredible downer, so downer-esque, in fact, that I think my hard earned ducats would be better spent elsewhere. read more

I was told to try Nick's pizza because they have amazing pizza. I was not pleased at all. The pizza was not that great, It was nasty. I also order an antipasto salad with olive & jalapeños on the side, Ithey put olives on it which I had to pick out. I also order a side salad with olives on the side and it also had them on it. Way overpriced for the crappy food I got. I would think spending over $40 the food would be good. No one even wanted to eat the leftovers because it was so horrible. What a waste & disappointment. Sad to say Pizza Hut has better pizza. Maybe I ordered on an off day. read more

Ordered from here for the first time last night. Although yelp told me they were closed, I tried anyway, assuming that no self-respecting pizzeria could possibly be closed on a Friday night. The girl who answered the phone was very friendly and patient with me while I placed the order without the benefit of a menu. Plus one for friendly service! The order was ready on time and the pizza and wings were excellent. I thought there was no good pizza in East Syracuse. I was wrong! We will definitely order from Nicks again. read more

Nick's Pizza is easily one of the best slices of pizza I've had!! I came here for a Bumble BFF date and it's a nice, small, pizza place to do a quick meet up. We were able to sit down with our pizza and talk for hours without ever feeling like we were being pushed out. The service was great and very welcoming!! Highly, highly recommend. read more

Nick' s pizza would be my choice for a last meal (if the choice ever arose). The crust is perfection...thin and crispy.. After spinning it into a wide perfect circle, it becomes a luscious delight emanating from his magical ( must be! )oven. The sauce is a wonderful consistency and flavor-- not sweet or too thick like so many others produce. He is generous with the toppings, and never resorts to the game many play..... Increasing the outer crust to skimp on toppings. That gimmick infuriates me ! And last, but far from least, the cheese topping is just right. We also love his wings, done any way ( or heat level) you want. Medium for us is hot, but not too too. He is a master at his craft; and we so look forward to every order from there. read more

I ordered the chicken bacon ranch pizza from here and honestly it was the nastiest chicken bacon ranch I have ever had. When I opened it, it also just looked nasty. I will say that I have had their cheese pizza and that was fine. Not the chicken bacon ranch. I don't think I will be ordering from here again. read more

Gave this place another try despite getting some of the greasiest pizza we've ever had on our first attempt. Since the pizza was so wet and floppy, I decided to try a grilled chicken "tunnel". DISGUSTING. The chicken was clearly microwaved -soft, mushy, wet consistency- on what is basically a hot dog roll (not even grilled). I found this place through my hotel and decided to come for dinner after reading the Yelp reviews. Staff were super friendly on the phone and when I came to pick up the order. I'm traveling in Syracuse because of work... but I looked forward to this trip knowing that I would hit up Nick's. I ate at Nick's Pizza for lunch today... Having just visited Manhattan over the weekend (and many times in the past), I can say Nick's Pizza is the best NY style pizza I've had in ALL my pizza experiences. I last visited Nick's during a work trip 2.5 yrs ago where the work crew unanimously decided to eat there 3 days in a row unplanned! Pizza quality and consistency are key aspects to Nick's. It's even better that they have friendly staff and good prices. The place can be hard to find initially since the building doesn't really stand out from other nearby industrial-like buildings, windows are heavily tinted, and the sign is pretty simple.... Perhaps that's a good thing in that their focus is on the product. I like how you can easily watch the pies being made just behind the counter. They have many types of pizzas, but the clear winner is the plain cheese pizza. The crust is NY thin that has a good gentle crunch on the bottom with an airy, yet slightly chewy, center. The outer crust is slightly flaky. There's a perfect balance of crust to cheese ratio. The slices are what I would expect of a large NY slice. The sauce is perfect.... appropriate amount applied that's slightly naturally tart from the tomatoes and has good flavor with a very well-rounded taste that's not too sweet ... really helps bring focus to the other elements (e.g., cheese, crust). Again, the best NY style pizza and it's not even from Manhattan! (I don't normally write reviews, but I felt compelled based on my experiences of Nick's Pizza vs others). read more

Used to go here as a regular. Overall great food. However, Saturday night I stopped by after work for a quick bite. I order my usual; a slice of pizza, a drink, and a garlic knot. Pretty basic. I paid the lady and collected my change, not even paying attention to what I was charged. I didn't receive a receipt either. I recently was counting money for budgeting and realized that they had charged me over $15 for my meal. (According to one of their staff it was supposed to come out to around $6. I called ahead and asked if anything could be done. They said possibly if I had the receipt, and even if I didn't that maybe they could figure something out. I drive there and talk to one of the staff about the issue and he seems pretty irritated and disbelieving of me. At this point, I didn't want any free food or even a refund for that matter, just to make sure that that's where my money had gone. He checks the receipts and nothing can be done. He informs me that I can speak with the boss the next day, which I could not do due to working all day. I leave and put it behind me. I drive to the Dunkin' Donuts to get a coffee when I get a call from Nick's on my phone. I pick it up, hoping they found the receipt. Instead, I am greeted to the staff member that tried to find my receipt calling me a thief and to not try that again. He blatantly lies, stating that he made me a calzone Saturday night, which I sure as hell didn't have. I politely told him that accusing his customers of attempted thievery isn't how you keep customers and how he lost a devoted regular. If you're looking for competent and polite staff, steer clear of Nick's. read more
