I asked him why I would have to pay for something that was obviously defective as I hadn't even put my ass on the bike seat yet. He proceeded to tell me that if you leave a bike sitting too long the tires will get flat. I reiterated that is was less that a month since I bought it. He was not interested in discussing it at all. They also pretty much charged the same price if not more despite the prior models that are offered at this location. There are barely any sales anymore as well, so there really isn't any value here in terms of shopping besides trying out shoes that you could try out at another actual new balance location not this one.

I contacted them and the AI bot said returns take 15 days from when the item is received. Why would that be? Do they just want two weeks of float on the money, or are they really that inefficient? Anyway a major red flag. But the real shocker came on the third order. An item was sent that had absolutely nothing to do with my order and was three sizes too small!! And it was a final sale. Customer service did send a return label once I proved I had the wrong item. Thing is, the invoice in the box was also for the wrong item, which doesn't match the order. So I have little faith they will be able to figure this out. Great shoes, but this business is a mess. In this day and age with so much online ordering this kind of thing is unacceptable. If a Walking Company store was nearby I'd probably frequent a bricks and mortar store, but I won't be ordering online from them again.
