Just went for the first time, I had to go because i kept hearing how great it was. I was not disappointed, I got what is call the "More Than Full" your basic breakfast, eggs, bacon, home fries and pancakes. On the south shore this is as good as it gets for breakfast. There is always a wait and some of the reviews dump on the waitresses but come on this is New England and they are great! Get to know them! The food is always good and consistent! A great breakfast menu with tons of choices. We have done breakfast at Stars, Easters, Hearth and Kettle, Snug, Toast... none come close to this. My favorite breakfast is the Deluxe Diner in Watertown and now in Newton. My friend and I were walking by today and we have eaten here before and thought it was pretty good. Today, in passing, my friend needed to use the bathroom. She is 3 1/2 months pregnant. When she went in, a blonde woman approached her. She asked to use the ladies room and was rudely told if she didn't buy something, she wasnt welcome to use the restroom. It's horrible to think in 2014 pregnant women are turned away like that. I drove her to Dunkin Donuts. I did call the owner who said he was not present but that if he was there this would not have happened and that it was a mistake for the waitress to turn away a pregnant woman who needed a restroom. I have eaten breakfast as Nikos for years. I hadn't been in the past 6-8 months and decided to have breakfast there on Sunday. Once I got my meal I remembered why it has been months since my last visit, everything was over cooked almost to the point of being burned. The egg white omelet was crispy on the outside and rubbery inside, raisin toast was burned, the homefries which are usually undercooked were the best part. My husbands eggs were also over cooked. I have been here a handful of times and decided to pop in with my son. They offer about 10 types of eggs Benedict (his fav). Let's start with the positive, we were seated quickly and my eggs were cooked well but it ends there. The waitress didn't come over to take our order, instead she skipped over us and started getting orders from the tables who had been seated after us.The table behind us actually got their food before I even got my coffee and again we had been there first. All in all not a huge deal. However when I did get coffee she forgot to bring creamer another 10 mins later I got cream. Still I'm not too phased maybe she is having an off day? But if you boast a bottomless cup on the menu and only have a server bring a single cup it doesn't seem right. The straw that broke me here was that my order arrived in sections I got my eggs but no toast. In fact the waitress left the toast in the window so long that another waitress finally brought it over. When my son asked for some water she brought over a picture with no glass and then asked if she could fill mine for him. This was it for me yes he's my son but why should we have to share a glass for water?? It's kinda gross. A good breakfast option for people on the South Shore. The food is good quality and not very greasy. The Breakfast Extravaganza is very tasty. The only problems are the juice and the wait times, nothing is fresh squeezed, it seems like Minute Maid or something. You would think that they could at least spring for some Tropicana or something fresh tasting. The wait seems to be because of the lack of good breakfast options around the area. I saw that next to Niko's, the old Stokesy's Egg house has been bought and the name has been changed to Wendi Lou's Breakfast Cafe or something. I'm going to check it out when it finally opens. Niko's is my favorite place to go for breakfast, cause of the staff, food and the pricing. But on this Sunday (mother's day). I had a man with dark hair and olive skin., was our server., if that's what you want to call him. He was horrible. I have never out of the 15+ times going there had to wait long for our food...this time we did!! After waiting forever, he didn't even deliver our food another waitress did? Like it was a bother for him to deliver our food. I had asked for extra hollandaise sauce, he forgot it up on the counter., so when I had seen a server, named Wendy (which I've had tremendous service from her), gave it to me. He never once came to our table and asked how everything was. I did complain to Niko, because that service is unacceptable and I've never had that service there before. We used to LOVE nikos. It was our go to breakfast spot. Food was great, owner super nice and even though there was always a long wait it went by fairly quick. I wish I could say that the past 2 visits were the same. It seems they've changed their menu and some staff. Both times we've sat at the table for at least 20 mins waiting for our food which usually isn't a big deal since they're always busy and the food is worth the wait. I come here as often I can. I live a good 30 minutes away from Niko's but TRUST ME it is so worth the drive!!!! I have never had a single solitary item in this place that is not amazing. I took my aunt the last weekend for brunch and even she was amazed at how fresh and tasty everything was. I ordered the Empire Benedict (MY FAVE) and she ordered an omelet and a yummy freshly made Belgium waffle with fresh sweet strawberries and blueberries. (one down side I make my own fresh whipped cream, they use the can stuff YUCK so we didn't have any whip. Deli-sh breakfast, friendly staff and best of all we had an awesome breakfast for two (portions are very big and well presented) for less than $30.00 including tip. Having lived in Weymouth for 7 years I just started going here. Now my second time and it is great! Just arrived from Santa Cruz, CA and don't expect breakfast to match anything out there. The endless coffee and service was great. The potato cakes are worth the trip. I asked for a creation of my own and they accommodated it using all home fries and veggies. Not many places on the east coast has vegetarian fare so you create your own. Have visited on a few Saturdays. Love late breakfast. Atmosphere is bright and sunny. Sometimes a little loud as tables are very close. Restaurant is clean. Waitstaff are prompt, pleasant and very accommodating. Food service is speedy and generous portions. The only area I can gently complain about are the eggs. Have never gotten them served as ordered. Always overcooked. Eggs Benedict, who wants a solid yolk! Over easy? Never happens. If they could work out that kink, I'd definitely visit more frequently. Greatest breakfast place in the area. Nice ambience, on the weekends expect a wait but it's worth it. Omelets are a good choice. Went with friends and they raved about the pancakes. Coffee is very good (that's a deal-breaker for me at a diner) and they keep it coming. Waitstaff is very accommodating and professional. Haven't done a lunch yet but the choices look great. I like it because I don't do bread or potatoes and they substitute fresh fruit with my omelets. So I've lived in Weymouth my entire life and have gone to Niko's many times. My parents constantly get take-out lunch there. But the other day I had one of the worst experiences that I have ever had at a restaurant before. My boyfriend and I went in and right off the bat we were treated like children that are noisy and don't tip (mind you we're both juniors in college and I've worked in a restaurant for the past 4 years.). Our waitress was tall, tanned and shorter dark brown/black hair. She took our order and mine came out wrong. I ordered a sandwich that comes with tomatoes on it. I specifically asked for onions instead of tomatoes on it. Without making a scene, I asked another girl who worked there (who was standing right near us) if she could get me a side of onions. She brought them over and our waitress stomped over and immediately told me "that's not what you said" in an extremely rude tone. I then answered her saying "thats not what I think but if you want to think so then go ahead." She then continued to argue with me saying that I said my order the other way around (aka I asked for tomatoes instead of onions) which makes absolutely no sense. The sandwich comes with tomatoes... Why would I ask for something that already comes on the sandwich? She left and didn't come back to check on us until we were 90% through our meal (we were one of four tables in the restaurant). I work in a restaurant and deal with the public all the time. I know that good customer service is that the customer is always right. However, most of the time the customer is wrong. In this instance I was right and she was completely out of line and disrespectful in the manner she handled the situation, and her tip reflected that. My boyfriend always tip a minimum of 20%, but in this case I couldn't bring myself to leave her more than a dollar. It is safe to say I won't be going back to Niko's ANY time soon. read more

As locals claim Niko's Restaurant to be one of the most delicious diners around, it became quickly apparent that an excursion to the infamous breakfast and lunch joint was necessary. Of course, after hearing such positive comments about the diner, my friend and I decided to visit the business at it's convenient location of 948 Broad Street Weymouth, Massachusetts in order to see how the restaurant lived up to its expectations. Upon entering the restaurant, we noticed an abundance of flowers surrounding the building which not to mention, provided a mid-sized parking lot not commonly found at fast-paced diners. When walking into the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed into the clean, modern-looking business by a hostess who speedily jotted down our party's name and number of individuals as the wait line continuously grew. Although the amount of parties waiting for a table was substantial (it was a Sunday morning, the busiest day for Niko's), the turnover rate was fast as well as the assistant servers who cleaned tables at remarkable speed. At first glance, customers notice an upbeat, colorful restaurant full of casually dressed individuals. When seated after a minor ten-minute wait, we found the table to be clean with new utensils and supplied with a basket full of condiments as well as a small flower (a nice touch for a breakfast and lunch diner). The waitress, Wendy, was one of three servers working the 15 tables in the restaurant and offered a friendly, positive attitude towards us while also suggesting popular dishes. The menu was organized in a logical manner, with prices being extremely affordable (a person could eat a meal for $10, tax and tip included). Since it was noontime, I decided to try the Asiago Chicken Sandwich on Focaccia with a side of homemade chips while my friend tried the "Mikey Special" which consisted of 3 eggs, French toast, corned beef hash, home fries, bacon and toast! The Asiago Chicken Sandwich was to die for - freshly made Focaccia bread split in half and stuffed with juicy grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato, bacon and of course, Asiago dressing. However, the "homemade" chips were certainly not cut on site, yet they were made to order and irresistibly delicious. The "Mikey Special" proved to be a hit with my friend who couldn't possibly finish the extreme portion size, which eventually turned into a scrumptious leftover meal. The waitress refilled drinks without being asked too and checked up on us repeatedly to assure complete satisfaction. Around the entire restaurant, customers seemed to enjoy their meals ranging from waffles loaded with fruits and whip cream on top to bacon cheeseburgers and fries. The variety of food offered by Niko's Restaurant is sure to satisfy even the pickiest customers! Even though the restaurant is small and therefore creates a 10-20 minute wait during prime times, the quality of food is exceptional as well as the service. We recommend the diner for its unbeatable value, welcoming ambiance, and mindful, happy employees whose focus is on the customer's satisfaction. read more

Most of the time you are sitting within 5 minutes of getting there and once you order the food comes out FAST. I get the original most of the time and it's very good. I recommend it to everyone.
