Update: I have been to both this location and the Mililani location several times since my last review. The staff here are awesome and quick! Not sure if they switched people with Mililani cause the last time I went there the guy at the order line literally rolled his eyes when I walked in.... I'm pretty sure it's a Gen Z thing or something cause I noticed almost everywhere they don't even tell you "Thank you for coming have a nice day!" They just give you your food with a blank stare.

Me: Did you want me to pick something up for us to snack on tonight while you out all of our kids to sleep? Wife: Yes, Ninja Sushi please. Me: *making sure they are open and is always nicely surprised they are open until 9pm* Also me: *the last customer that shows up right before closing* I always expect them to turn me down and say last call was 30 minutes ago but they don't! And the lady that works night on Friday's is friendly. Plus, that soft rock jams playlist they have on really brings it home. This place is a go-to for all your late night take-out sushi cravings.

First time at Ninja Sushi Waipio location. Staff was really nice and very helpful guiding us through their menu. Small and cozy dining room. Small private parking lot out front. Freshly made Sushi Bentos, combination Bentos, and an extensive menu of Nigiri sushi dishes. Very nice place for fast food sushi on the go.

I know times are hard, but come on. 5pc for $6.99. On a side note, my son said the calamari was fire, along with the rest of the sushi.

Quick service. Party set usually need to order a hour ahead. U can't dine in at the moment, so kind of repair work going on.

The spam musubi is pretty good because it is made with sushi rice, and the spam is dressed with a nice thick teriyaki sauce. The gyoza wrapper is kind of thick, and a not too much filling. The dipping sauce tasted like straight up soy sauce, salty not a sauce ideal for dipping!

My significant other and I came at 2pm on Saturday, 10/28/2023. The aunty working the counter was nothing less than kind, friendly, and amazing. Her service was GREAT! I wish I got her name but I hope she gets to hear/see this review because she went above and beyond. And overall, maybe our dining experience perfect. Total for everything was $45, which is great for 2 people who are looking for fast, tasty sushi. I've always loved ninja sushi waipio, and I truly believe they are one of few places who works constantly towards better quality and presentation. They've made so many improvements. 10/10

I like here because it opens at 10am and that's very convenient for me. It has unique sushi rolls and nice bento and donburi. I like garlic hamachi. It tasted so good. It's $7.99 and has 3 pieces. Some rolls has half & half set (Maki-mono Combo Specials). The base roll is the same but topping is different. You can enjoy two types of roll half portions in one order. I like to variety of flavors so I like this combo. Combos are mostly $9.50 about $1 more than regular rolls but you can enjoy or try 2 flavors. Their spicy ahi is not that spicy but it was good. Staff is always nice and friendly. Store is clean so I feel safe.

Came here while waiting for some car service being done nearby. There is still COVID cautions being taken here, but is still offering dining-in. Cashier/server was nice and brought me my food was it was read. The previous customers food and my food came out quick. Sushi was yummy, lite, but still somewhat filling (I shared with one).

We stopped by for an early dinner after grocery shopping at Seafood City. Since the weather looked a bit gray, we decided to drive over. Even though the lot was busy, there were plenty of open spots near Hou since it's toward the end of the plaza. It's been a while since I've been to this area--it has cleaned up nicely now that Highway Inn is gone. Inside, the restaurant is clean, well-lit, and the staff is very friendly. We ordered the Shrimp Tempura Udon and the California + Spicy Tuna + Crab Salad roll combo. No regrets! The miso-based broth in the udon was delicious, and I appreciated that the shrimp tempura came on the side to stay crispy. My personal favorite, however, was the spicy tuna on top of the cone sushi--it paired perfectly with the udon. The prices are great, and I was happy to learn they have a second location on Kapiolani. It's a great addition to the West Side and clearly popular with the local crowd. I'll definitely be back!

The service was friendly and helpful and they even have signage that helps show you how to navigate your poke and rice options. The poke cuts were smaller than what I was used to but didn't detract from the flavor, in fact, it probably make the flavor better in that it helped with the mixing and you got a more balanced bite.
