The puzzles were whatever. We got stuck on a puzzle for 30 min which resulted us not finishing. When the room ended the staff told us we were in a blind spot so they couldn't help us with the puzzle... Don't waste your money here. read more

A family of 6 (including one grandma and one teenager) with only two native English speakers did the Revolution escape room in 49 minutes (with 11 minutes to spare) with no extra hints, to give you some idea of how hard it is (it's rated 6/10). We started off our experience already rough, pushing back our time slot and still coming in late. Morgan was super accommodating because she let us move our slot back and still let us play even though we were late. The rules are pretty simple and clear, and i think us getting separated from each other is hilarious as we complete the puzzles. It's also fun to compete who can finish their puzzles first. We get unlimited hints after 10 minutes I believe, and we really took advantage of that. Because of this, it was like we got to choose our own difficulty-- if you wanna solve this all on your own or if you want to solve everything easily, you can do that. My friends and I took on both rooms at No.1 Escapes and it was an amazing experience! Brian was so kind and accommodating to us on both visits and that was very pleasant! Awesome gamemaster as well as awesome escape rooms! Jester's Revenge is definitely a room to try out. It was very immersive and the puzzles were so much fun. Revolution seemed more like a traditional, basic(in a good way) room where the puzzles are straightforward and very linear. This was my second experience at No. 1 Escapes, and both Brian and Kathy were wonderful to work with. I wanted to propose to my girlfriend after we finished the escape room with some friends, and Brian was very helpful and accommodating with my requests. He made sure that the room was sanitized and that our group would be safe during our time there. Brian took the time to meet with me. We even met at 11pm one night to go over my plans. The room was fun and kept my group occupied for most of the hour. On top of that, the other room was decorated with engagement decorations to help us celebrate. 5 stars for the owners' professionalism and willingness to work with their customer. After completing both Jester and Revolution I can wholeheartedly recommend this escape room to beginners and experts. The rooms were fun with the puzzles being challenging but not over complicated. My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this escape room, but it seems like booking in advance is better to ensure you get a game. Jeff was our game master for Jester and he had a great understanding of our pace and gently bumped us in the right direction if we got stuck. David, the owner, was there and the door of us had a lot of great conversation about escape rooms in general! My group and I LOVE doing escape rooms; we've done about 15 in total and have never had a bad experience... until now. We booked "carnage cabin" through Groupon and had Liv as our game host. We paid for 4 people as it specifically states on the receipt and as the 4 of us walked in we were told we still had to pay for 2 more. Although I showed Liv proof of purchase for all 4 of us, she replied she needed to message her boss to see if it would be okay. She came back with the "ok" and as we were about to start the game she gave us the option of getting hints as we asked for them or for her to give us hints if she noticed we got stuck. We asked for her to give us hints when she noticed we were stuck, but we ended up having to ask for them anyway. The hints took about 1-2 min to get and in an escape room every minute counts. Towards the end of the game, we needed one more puzzle to solve to get to the other room. We had 8 seconds left on the clock when we solved the puzzle, but she came in and said our time was up. We did not get to experience the best part of the room, the exit through the crawl space. Overall poor experience, we were treated less than and scolded for not selecting 4 when we purchased a Groupon for 4 attendees. I would not recommend this escape room experience to others. Consider going to Wild Goose Escapes instead, much more welcoming! read more

We had the BEST time. We did an escape room last night somewhere else and enjoyed it so much we did another one! We chose the Jester room, and with only 3 of us (and a couple of clues) we made it to the LAST box before time ran out. I loved the set up as you're split between the rooms when you start. I took on one of the rooms alone and enjoyed the extra challenge. It was just "tough" enough and we had a great time! When you walk in, it's this teeny room and feels sort of weird and awkwardly quiet lol but once you're in the escape room it's all worth it. read more

My husband and I decided to take advantage of the temporary allowance of a 2-person group for Jester's Revenge, and we had a great time! We were nervous at first because we started off in separate rooms and I don't think either of us were super-confident we'd get past that initial room! Thankfully we got through and it was really fun to collaborate together from separate rooms in order to get reunited. We did end up using a handful of hints, especially towards the end when we were running out of time. We didn't quite hit the deadline but we were allowed the extra minute or two we needed to finish. With a tiny bit more hustle we would've made it. I do think it's doable for 2 people, though I would say 4 is probably ideal, maybe 4-6. Having at least 4 people would make the first rooms, when you're separated, go a little more quickly. The production value wasn't mind-blowing, the room was relatively small, and the puzzles weren't super high-tech, but it was a cute, fun, classic-style room and a lot of the puzzles were actually really unique. They mostly involved locks but figuring out how to open those locks definitely required some creative thinking. I think this would be a challenging but doable room for beginners and intermediate players. If you're an escape room expert it might not seem extremely difficult but I think you'd still have fun and enjoy the creativity of the puzzles. This is probably a perfect room for families, with the puzzles having a range of difficulties. TL/DR: This is a fun, creative room that is great for players with any level of experience, including beginners and families with kids. read more

I took my boyfriend with some friends for his birthday. we did the revolution room. I thought it was very well done and stood true to the difficulty scale listed. 6/10 so not the easiest but also not the hardest. especially with the right people you can work at a nice pace!(it's a private experience so it was just the 7 of us) we needed one hint and solved everything with 13 minutes to spare(out of an hour). in the beginning they have you sign waivers and go through instructional videos with simple rules to the game. customer service was nice and the process to get started was easy! would definitely come back to try Jesters Revenge! read more

This was just an okay experience based on other escape rooms I have been to. I brought my sister, her two kids and my kids to try this out (kids ages ranged from 9-13); we did an escape room together a few months ago somewhere else and it was a great experience for all of us so we decided to try again. The escape itself (Jester's Revenge) is very clever and well designed. You start out by half of the group in one room and the other in another so you have to solve puzzles to open the door connecting your two rooms. This added a great element of fun for us, especially since the kids went together in one room so it gave them some independence. Note that this is a very difficult room; there are a lot of twists and some puzzles are a little confusing to figure out; usually we were on the right track but needed some help to solve it. My main critique was with the staff. We ran out of time with several puzzles left to solve which is fine. But the person running the room wouldn't give us ANY wiggle room. She told us she had docked us 5 minutes because we had to use the restroom when we arrived (which she didn't say upfront) and then docked us time because my son accidentally pulled something he wasn't supposed to but she had not warned the kids not to and it seemed like it was something hiding that needed to be pulled. So at the end, she came in to stop the game and my 9 year old nephew was literally putting in the code to open a box but she wouldn't let him because she said she didn't want to have to reset it. I totally understand the need to reset the room in time for new guests but to turn down a little kid and dock us for unclear things just didn't seem very fair or flexible. read more
