This Noah's Bagels has got to be the most poorly ran establishment I've ever visited. I've been a huge fan of Noah's for years and would visit our old location in Walnut Creek very frequently. Since moving to Lafayette we have visited this location now 3 times and EVERY TIME it's has been a total train wreck. Which is odd because they always seem to be adequately staffed however never seem to have enough food prepared, out of majority of the items and it seems like every staff member is completely lost like it's all their first day. Every time we have had to wait well beyond the projected time for our order (by like 5-10 minutes) whether we order via app or in-person. Our orders have been incorrect and/missing items each time or they are out of items so we are given different items in place (today they were out of blueberry muffin for our Brunch Box and were sub'd chocolate chip cookies and some other pastries). The food is also poorly made, bagels are never toasted as requested and these Farmhouse Egg Sandwiches we got in our sad "brunch box" were missing the ham and shmear and were (shocker) on a plain bagel bc they were out of the other kind. Understaffed and ridiculously slow. Staff couldn't care less. And, the bagels are mediocre.

Why have a bagel store and at noon on Saturday's and Sundays be out of 75% bagel selections. Usually slow service. Bagels are what you would expect from a "chain" bagel store. The only reason I come to this place is parking is easy and bagels are a pretty cheap breakfast/lunch. Not worth any type of trip or drive if there is some place closer to go to especially and if it's after 11am expect to be even more disappointed since they won't have what you want. Also they are pretty lame on how much cream cheese theY put on bagels. Don't have high hopes going to this place especially if you have any standards of what a reaL bagel place should be. There is a line of 6 people waiting to order with only 1 person taking orders and ringing up people while 3 employees were just chatting at one corner of the store. After months of not coming to this particular bagel shop, I decided to give it a go one more time. My previous experiences were never hospitable. Today I came into the shop and I was greeted by a young man that had a contagious smile on his face and he said hello and he would be with me shortly. Just a simple acknowledgment was so refreshing as this shop is not the friendly. The orders looked like they had been stacking up and he wasn't getting any help. Looked like someone was shadowing him too. This poor kid was asking for help and was being completely ignored by the other staff. He took my order after I waited a short while. He was so professional and willing to go the extra mile. This young man deserves a raise. I asked the gal behind the counter what the gentleman's name was as I wanted to tell the manager my excellent experience with this employee. I believe she said his name was Jonathan . Came to this place for the first time this morning...bagels are pretty good but nothing special however our experience with gabby and Taylor left much to be desired. The laziness and bad attitudes had me wanting to run for the door. The lemonade was completely melted and watered down and nobody could bother to make a fresh one for me to purchase, one girl said she could go look to see if there were any in the back but I told her to just forget it. I live in town and have gone here for decades but am ready to throw in the towel. Service deteriorated during Covid (true of many businesses) but this Noah's store has never recovered. They seem to have changed managers and are unable to hire or retain competent employees, with one or two exceptions. They have constant turnover in their staff. Mostly younger employees who don't appear to have been trained and seem to have no clear understanding of what they are doing behind the counter. They are very slow, wander around aimlessly and are indifferent to customers, wait times, service issues, etc. As others have commented they routinely run out of bagels and don't bother replenishing. I always order my bagel dark toasted, because otherwise it's barely warm, but I actually receive a toasted bagel perhaps 1 out of 10 visits. Either their employees can't read the instructions on the screens or they just don't care what the customer wants. If you go here on the weekend, you need to plan on at least 45 minutes to get your bagel. Today I went and they were working on a catering order, took more than an hour to get a bagel. No warning from the staff as to how long the order would take before you placed your order and paid your money. This is all very sad because Noah's was not always like this and there's a shortage of fast breakfast places in Lafayette. Noah's corporate office needs to replace management and at least 75% of the staff at this store and start over. The problem is, this store is so busy it's probably profitable and considered a high performing store, even though customers are unhappy. read more

Just fantastic !! I read poor reviews, but I wanted to see for myself (& REALLY wanted a bagel before work) - I am so glad I did. I chose the Lox sandwich with everything, on an Asiago bagel (toasted). Employees greeted me when I walked in, looked me in the eyes, and were friendly even though they were busy. I also got a 1/2 doz bagels to take home. The gentleman helping me was patient with my indecision & never made me feel rushed. The cashier was talkative & empathetic when I discovered that "Lox shmear" is no longer available there. Sad face ! Didn't see my sandwich until I got to work - it was PERFECT . Went in at about 10am to pick up a dozen plain bagels and 2 hotdogs for lunch. Totally out of plain bagels- you're kidding, right, and they only had plain hot dog bagels- I was hoping for both a plain and an Asiago cheese. Ok, I settled for 2 plain bagels and went to pay- several problems there too. I bought only the hot dog bagels, called a two pac, and that's what was in my bag. The checker, a very personable young man, charged me for 2 -2 pacs. I showed him that I only hard a total of 2 and he reversed the charge. I paid with Noah issued gift cards from a recent promotion, handing him two $5.00 cards. When he tried to use them, they came up invalid! Another employee walked by and said that the $5.00 cards weren't working. When asked what do I do, she said next time ask for the manager and they can override the card for credit. I paid just to get out of there as the line was getting long and I will be back to use these cards but I want to go on record that this business willingly wastes your time and that their promotions aren't worth the time. I'm pretty disappointed in the food and drinks we got from this location. The coffee had a burnt taste to it and they just kept putting more to be brewed instead of switching out the tanks. When I switched to the peach Mango Iced Tea instead, that was completely watered down and also had a bitter after taste. I ordered the Chorizo Avocado bagel, they didn't have the bagel it usually comes on so I opted for the Asiago bagel toasted. Let me just say the Asiago bagel was the best thing out of that entire bagel sandwich. The chirizo seemed to be just a mini breakfast patty that was dipped in some type of "spicy" sauce. There wasn't much of a taste or anything that "WOWed" me about it. My gf ordered a bagel with Bacon, Avocado and Tomato, she said her sandwich was spicy for some odd reason, so that's weird. After paying, the young lady said, "if you complete this survey you get a free bagel & cream cheese." Okay cool, so I did the survey to provide feedback like I am now, but let me just tell you, that is not what they give you. It's $1off your next purchase, NOT a free bagel & cream cheese.
