I got a mango passion fruit donut and a blue lemon iced donut as well as a couple of their thai coconut mochi! I've never had a donut so soft - you can tell they make it fresh. Their icings are strong in flavor, which is awesome! The blue lemon was incredibly tangy and you could see the lemon zest in the icing. It's easy to lose either the mango or the passion fruit but they have managed to make both flavors pop. The thai coconut mocha has *fresh* coconut inside - these were absolutely delicious. You can tell that they use actual ingredients for their glazes, NOT adding flavorings. The lemon was SO tangy and lemony, you could literally taste that they used lemon juice/zest. I took my Family to Nok's for my kiddos nine year old birthday breakfast and I must say it was a fun and fantastic experience! Our intention was to get 6 donuts, we ended up with 17 or 18, not including the warm ones we had to try while we were waiting. You can really tell by talking to the family who owns Nok's, that they are very passionate about donuts, but equally passionate about making high quality, healthy donuts that don't leave you feeling like junk after eating them. All the ingredients are hand made and non-processed. From the hand scrapped coconut to the vanilla bean frosting everything was great. My family visited Nok's Donuts today and we were very impressed! We tried six different flavors of donuts and all of them were absolutely delicious. The favorite though was the strawberry cream cheese with lemon zest. It was unlike any donut that we had had before, and had such a fresh strawberry taste. Prior to visiting Nok's I had reached out to ask about an allergy. I was blown away with the response from the owner, Michael. He asked me to call before we came in so that he could make a batch of donuts that he could make sure didn't come in contact with my allergen! He said that since every batch of donuts is handmade anyway it was no problem. In my years of dealing with an uncommon allergy, this was the most thoughtful response I have ever received! Nok's is located in The District mall, and there are great comfy chairs and nice tables to take your donuts to to enjoy them.
